Topic: Enfold header on homepage
Hi Guys,
Hope you’re doing well.
We’ve been updating two pages on our staging site. After cloning the site to the live environment, we’ve encountered a few issues:
The homepage is displaying the Enfold logo in the top left instead of our own, and the main menu navigation is missing. The rest of the homepage content appears correctly.
One of the pages we’ve been working on is showing an old version in a normal browser but the updated version in incognito mode. We’ve cleared the cache, but the issue persists.
Another page has two buttons with anchor links pointing to the contact form at the bottom, but the links aren’t working. Anchor links on other pages function as expected.
When viewing the staging site, everything appears as expected, including the updated information and the correct homepage header.
Could you advise on what might be causing these issues and how we can resolve them?

MikeHi, I found some older posts dealing with this. But they seem to reference classes and files that I can’t find, so I feel like enfold might have updated to the point the fixes are no longer valid.
I tried using the solution mentioned here https://kriesi.at/support/topic/html-for-turning-on-audio/#post-1477062, specifically the one that links to here https://webers-testseite.de/mute-unmute/, but I could not find the shortcode folder within enfold, or the sections.php to copy into my child theme. Have they moved somewhere else, or is there a different place I can find the code that is mentioned?
The video I’m trying to use is currently hosted on youtube. I did see some mention of needing to be self-hosted, but it seemed confusing as to what situation that applied to.
Also, I’d ideally like to use the fontello icons included with enfold to be the mute and unmute button. Can I just use the content/font css instead of a background image in the css?

Hi, I am trying to put in a button for audio on a background video in a color section. I looked in Guenni007’s example, but I can’t seem to find a shortcodes folder in my parent Enfold theme, with the sections.php file that is mentioned. Has this moved/updated since that fix was posted, or am I looking in the wrong place?
I would also like to use the fontello icons for the mute buttons. Can I just use the css content/font family style for those, in lieu of a background image?
The current video i’m trying to use is a YouTube video. Does the above post imply that the fix will not work with those, the video must be self hosted?

On our site the Enfold page builder elements are not showing and the button to switch between Default Editor and Advanced Layout Builder is also missing.

We are running what should be the latest versions: WordPress 6.7.2 and Enfold 6.0.9
I have disabled all plugins.
Please advise what we need to do.

we are new to ENFOLD and try to get an intranet working with WP + ENFOLD. As advised I created a child theme which seems to be working. However, when I try to implement a textblock with fold/unfold function in a column this doesn’t work. We want to have 3 columns side by side, each with folded content which unfolds when clicking on the “weiterlesen” (read more) button. The only thing you see though is the “read more” button. Looking at the code, I realised that the code for the button is above the code for the textblock. This should be beneath the textblock. This text is already there before you fill out the form, so that’s fine. But you see exactly the problem, after filling out the form you should get the Paypal buttons displayed, but unfortunately this is no longer possible with Enfold. If I activate a standard template, then it works again…

We might have a bug with how the enfold parser is handling
tags that are inserted into an ALB element. Across multiple sites now we have randomly had images disappear entirely from the page, and from the source code. This only seems to ONLY affect images that are inserted via an img tag, and not via the ALB Image element or any sliders etc.
Eg: Insert a text block via ALB. Use the Add Media button to add an image.
Eg: Insert a timeline via ALB. Use the Add Media button to add an image.The page will work just fine, but then after some days randomly some of these images will not only be gone from the front end, but entirely missing from the backend as well, even in the shortcode debugging section. Then entire img tag just gets completely stripped out, like it was never there.
Have you had any reported instances of something like this before, or can you take a look at how Enfold parses these and see if you can spot any issues?
This has been occurring now for a couple of months across multiple sites.

Thanks for your assistance. I was able to solve this by using the button class as a trigger to open the popup instead of setting an anchor link with a #.
Consider this issue closed.I would prefer to do a script solution so that my client can simply add buttons in the future instead of needing to use the code block. I did add the custom class of “pop-button” to the buttons that are intended to open the popup(s) but couldn’t figure out how to disable the scrolling to top.Javascript is not my skill set. I tried several script solutions found online before contacting Enfold support and none actually worked. If you can point me to a script that does work, that is greatly appreciated. I have the plugin Code Snippets installed so I can add a script to the header or footer as needed.

Normally the Paypal buttons appear after clicking on the button, but this is currently only sent if I activate a standard theme instead of Enfold.
Normalerweise öffnet erscheinen nach dem klick auf den Button die Paypal Buttons, dies geschickt aktuell jedoch nur, wenn ich anstatt Enfold ein standard Theme aktiviere.

Once a Custom Element Template (CET) is created, go to the Custom Elements tab inside the Advanced Layout Builder (ALB). Hover over the custom element you want to modify, then click the Edit (pencil icon) button. Trying to make changes on sites and frontsite, I got the fail: Failed to initialize plugin: Avia_Builder_button, but the extended builder pops up, so that I can fill in my changes. BUT I can change textes, but if I want to change color, the picked color is shown, I just can’t click on the save button. Nothing happens. I need to close the dialog with the X.Hallo,

RikardI have a button row I am using on my site and it is starting to look very messy as all of the buttons are different sizes and not lining up to any grid.
I would like to clean this up and have the buttons all the same size and look cleaner by being the same size and spacing on the rows and columns.
Am running WP 6.7.1 with Enfold 6.0.6. Thank you for any advice or help on this matter.

You have to manually adjust the Styling > Button Bar Style settings of the Social Buttons element. We set it to Circle to test. Please note that the Enfold Child Theme Options > Blog Layout > Share Button Bar Style settings are intended for the social sharing icons in the posts.
If you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. Sorry about the late response. I’ll have to look at it again. In the meantime, I have an another issue: the Enfold Child Theme Options > Blog Layout > “Share Button Bar Style” option is not working properly. Specifically, when I choose a different style, whether Rectangular, Buttons, Circle or Icon, it does not change the front end on my webpage: https://AbogadoNotarioOnline.com/ (the social profiles are at the bottom). If you can go in to try and fix it, that would be great!

Bluesky & Pixelfed are not available on fontello.com where our icon fonts are from.
Our Dev Team is reviewing the Feature Request for Bluesky, but we will probably need to wait until it is on fontello.com.
For now, follow the steps in this thread and change the code from “TikTok” to Bluesky or Pixelfed and the icon font character code to yours (ie: ue800) also ensure quotes in the code that you copy and paste is not changed.
Note that the icon fonts can not be in color, only black and white, and when you upload a SVG to fontello.com you may need to adjust as in this thread.Best regards,

I am trying to translate the Fold/Unfold text which I have set-up in Dutch. However, I can’t seem to find the translation in WPML anywhere, not in the page translation menu but also not in the theme settings. I can only find the label for it, but not the input I gave it.
Please see the link attached and toggle between the languages to see that the ‘Lees meer’ button is not able to be translated (or I am missing something)

After much debugging it seems that there is a conflict between woocommerce and Enfold. On checkout, the terms and conditions button is not clickable or is clickable after a very long delay. The same thing does not happen if I have the Storefront theme active. We are running PHP version 8.4 (but same thing was happening with PHP versions 7.4-8.4), and all plugins, themes and wordpress version are up-to-date.With debug turned on I get the following errors on the checkout page:

I’m using Enfold’s Avia Layout Builder in the WP classic editor to create a table using the Table content element. For the heading row at the top of the table, I’ve found that I can use the Button Row option to create nice-looking popup headers.
This worked great the first time out on a page where I wanted the “button headings” to actually have links. But now I am trying to use a clone of the same table to create a new table on a page where I don’t want the button headings to have links. Alas, I find that the buttons only have two options: link and download. If I leave the link box in the settings blank, the button just links back to the same page.
So my question is: Is there a way using the Avia Table content element to have the buttons in the heading row as purely graphic elements, without them being active as a link (or download)?

I am using latest WordPress and Enfold theme and have had an issue ever since installing Enfold. I am using Classic Editor for editing pages, posts and customs posts from other plugins. For some reason every time I hit save-button, the page/post is saved but immediately after there is a draft created… So it doesn’t matter how many times I save a page/post, if I re-visit the editor for that page/post there is a message that there is a newer version of this page/post available.
I tried disabling all plugins and changed to default wordpress theme and the fault is gone. I enabled all plugins with wordpress default theme and the fault is gone. Only when I switch to Enfold-theme this issue is back.
So why aren’t I able save pages/posts correctly without having a auto-draft created?
I’m the site manager for this company. The site was developed by someone who left the company, and purchased the theme for the business prior to leaving, so I don’t have access to proof of purchase.
Right now, the live site is not reflecting styles of menus, buttons, and paragraph text (at least). I’ve cleared caches, toggled CSS minify, toggled lazy load, toggled the CSS File Compression And Merging in Enfold > Performance Settings. I can’t seem to figure out why the stylesheet isn’t being loaded right away on the live site, but all previews and Customize look correct. Help, please!

It seems to be an issue with the Enfold > Theme Options > Page Preloading option. The download buttons work when this option is disabled. We’ll get back to you once we have more information on why this is causing the issue.

Finally I have moved a little forward with this issue spending several hours just trying everything to find where the issue comes from. So here is the case, I have installed new wordpress site with Enfold to the same shared hosting–>Button works properly. I have installed plugins–> Button works properly. Then I have installed the demo and the button stopped working and start to open image instead of downloading. So the issue is coming from demo as I thought from very beginning as this is the only thing that distinguishes 2 sites from each other. Using wordpress reset I have tried several scenarios and I think it will help you in finding the issue. 1) resetting the wordpress with the plugin brings back the correct functionality of the button 2) after demo install when the button is not working I have exported Enfold Temlpate Layout file and Theme setting file. After restarting the wordpress with plugin, I have imported those files but the site still working properly, the issue again starts after demo import. 3) The issue is with certain demos and I was unlucky to import the demo where it crashes the download function. So far I found 2 demos that crash download function: Startup Business Demo, One Page Portfolio Demo. In my case I was using Startup Business Demo. But for example with the demo: Default Demo everything works well. So, by now, what I have discovered that the issue is coming from specific demos, and after demo installment even if you switch the template, the issue will still be there. It somehow brings some function that never goes away until you will reset the wordpress. In my case I can not reset the site because a lot of job has been done and reseting the wordpress will mean losing 2 weeks of my time.
Having all this information, please try to find the issue so that I can remove that additional scrip or whatever is needed from my existing site. Thank You in advance!P.S. It is strange but in media files the download button by default from wordpress is working, but Enfold Download button is opening the file instead (download button is configured properly). In my original site it crashed the enfold download button and also media file section download button.

Thank you very much for the link. I have now tried various things, but unfortunately all previous attempts to get this ENFOLD contact form to work have failed. (I’m very surprised and a bit helpless, because I’ve never had this problem before (and I’ve been using ENFOLD for all my websites for almost 9 years now)
to the current status and what I have tried:
1. Typos and SPAM > Checked everything, checked with various email addresses
2. I tried the suggested changes in the function.phph-file, after it didn’t change anything, I removed the suggested code:

– As a test, my own email is entered here as the recipient for the contact form
