PLEASE add some social media short codes buttons or pre – styled custom sharing option on blogs and products.

I personally agree that it’s strange something so basic as this is not yet implemented in an advanced theme such as Enfold. I dislike the fact that I am to find some third-party plugin just to add some sharing buttons that are quite standard on the web today.

Du kannst dieses Plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-share-buttons-adder/ ausprobieren. Soweit ich weiß lädt es nicht die ganzen js/api Dateien.

Bzgl Backend habe ich leider keine Tipps – ein Cache Plugin macht hier keinen Sinn und das Theme bietet hier auch keine Optimierungsmöglichkeiten. Ein Freund hat mir einmal berichtet, dass die deutsche Übersetzung ordentlich an Performance kostet – daher laufen meine Testserver mittlerweile nur mehr auf Englisch. Bei einem Produktivsystem für eine deutsche Website lässt sich dies aber naturgemäß schwer umsetzen.

Ich denke kaum das ihr mit WooCommerce, WPML, Enfold und WordPress auf 2,x Sekunden Ladezeit kommen werdet. Falls ihr das wirklich wollt müsst ihr in dezidierte Server und ein gutes CDN investieren und das geht ordentlich ins Geld. Selbst Kriesis Website benötigt bei mir 2,3 Sekunden zum Laden und die Seite ist auf einem dedicated Server gehostet. Dazu muss man bei euch noch WPML beachten, welches auch locker eine halbe Sekunde bis Sekunde Performance kostet. Wenn dann der Shop selber noch viele Produkte hat wird auch WooCommerce langsamer (va in Kombination mit WPML) und dann geht die Zeit nochmals weiter nach oben.

I suppose it shouldn’t be much complicated! ;)
And I have some good ideas that combine fullscreen sliders + full screen color sections + video backgrounds + parallax + transparent menu, all in the same page ;)

1) Maybe Enfold can’t regenerate the dynamic stylesheet. Please use a ftp client and connect to your server. Navigate to wp-content/uploads/dynamic_avia/ and set the folder permission to 777. Then delete the enfold.css file and go to Enfold > Theme Options to regenerate the dynamic stylesheet (hit the green “Save all changes” button).

The activated is the version 2.6.1
It doesnt work

So I go back to the fallback (version 2.6) which activates and provides me a working website.

Then I unzip the them file downloaded from themeforest again and reupload it (the enfold-new).

Then rename the activated and broken to “notworking” or whatever, and rename enfold-new to enfold.
Reload appearance page and click on the “theme details” button to find version 2.6.1.

Activate it.

1) No, sitemap.xml is not a must. Smaller websites do not require a sitemap at all, large websites with a complex page hierarchy may profit from a sitemap. However it’s hard to determine an exact threshold and I’m pretty sure that every seo expert would give you a different answer. However on the other hand a sitemap.xml will not hurt your ranking – thus if you’re not sure about it it’s better to generate a sitemap.

2) WordPress is a CMS system and it uses themes and plugins to extend the core features. I’m not aware of a script which allows you to generate a sitemap without a plugin. The only option would be to build the sitemap manually. Personally I suggest to use http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ or http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-sitemap-plugin/ to build the sitemap. You can also deactivate the plugins after the generation. As soon as you add a new post/page, etc. activate the plugin again and hit the “regenerate sitemap” button to generate the sitemap for portfolio pages.

3) No, especially http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-seo/ supports custom post types like the “portfolio entries” and it will generate a proper sitemap.

4) No, you can also maintain it manually. However I suggest to build the initial sitemap with a plugin because I’m not sure which structure/syntax the sitemap uses and Yoast SEO will take care of this.

5) Please update to 2.6.1 and check if the update solves the issues. I’m pretty sure a) is fixed now, I’m not sure about b and c.

6) Yes, open up enfold/js/avia.js and replace:

I suggest to use the free Codestyling plugin to translate the theme or to change the content of the current translation. Install the plugin ( http://wordpress.org/plugins/codestyling-localization/ ), go to Tools > Localization and select “Themes”. Then search for “Enfold” in the list and select your language and click the “create po-file” button. Click on “Rescan” to search for all text strings. Afterwards click on “Edit” and translate the required strings from the “avia_framework” textdomain. At least click the “create mo file” button next to the “Textdomain” selection dropdown (top left corner). Search for “Leave a Reply” and “Want to join the discussion?”, etc to translate the comment text strings.

Hi glozemedia!

Afaik Kriesi added some new header options to the theme framework. Please go to Enfold > Theme Options > Header and check your header settings. Then click the “Save changes” button to save the theme options. Probably re-saving the theme settings will solve the issue.

Just had an interesting idea:

Invisibility!
What about having a little visibility eye <0> on elements. This would be great for people who want to set a notification area or anything else and then turn it off and on – on the fly. You could even have an ability to set it to invisible to all except admins. Also nice to work on a live site in draft then turn on visibility when your done. Now I always make a new page on a live site, then when done create template, add template to live page and move it all tot the right area as the templates are added below existing content. It would be best if admins can view invisible items to somehow on the frontend also show to admins they are invisible, add a little opacity to invis items?

Mobile slideoutmenu positioning
I found the slide out menu a little bit ugly as it overlays the whole page, so when you press the menu button, the layer slides in and there is a big gap at the top next to close menu button. To solve this I figured out that the open button is actually a toggle and will also close the panel – great! So what I did was move the positioning of the overlay down some pixels with css to just below the header, removed the close (X) display none, and use the menu open button as a toggle! However as it wasn’t meant to be a toggle the icon doesn’t change into an ( X ) when menu is open, not a biggy but would be nice if it could!

Just my 2 cents :) Keep up the best theme ever!
