Hi,
Thanks for creating Enfold, it’s such a beautyful & premium quality theme!
I think there is a bug in Enfold with the current version of Google Chrome (Version 37.0.2062.103 m). On a page with a full width slider, when resizing the browser window, the full width slider does not adapt to it’s new size.
This happens only when the browser window is resized “by click”, i.e. by clicking on the top right button of the browser (‘Verkleinern’). IE has similar issues. FireFox does well.
Could you please provide some JS snippet to fix this?

Dear all, unfortunately my webpage is not working properly anymore… several effects are missing (e.g. GoUpButton which automatically appears) or things are not displayed right (e.g. tabs)… when taking a look at the debug console I found the following error logs attached below… any idea what could be wrong here?

Hi,
I just install the Enfold template which was fine but after installing the dummy data, the page now has duplicate menu text on all pages.
I only press the button once and did not refresh the page either.

I already tried searching for my problem but could not find a fitting solution.
My problem is concerning the previos and next arrows that appear within Woo Commerce in Enfold. I mean those black ones on the left and right edge of the screen that just really appear when you are hovering over them.
My problem is that the products in the shop have been published at different times (and that is, so far as I have understood it, the sorting mechanism).
I would like those arrows only to navigate within its own category and not cross-link to other categories.

1) Enfold does not come with “special” WPML options because they’re simply not necessary. As soon as WPML is activated Enfold will create a separate (independent) option set for each WPML language. You can i.e. choose a different logo, color scheme, homepage, blog page, etc. for each language. The option page will display the language shortcut next to the theme name (i.e. Enfold (EN), Enfold (FR), Enfold (DE)) and you can use the language switcher in the admin bar to switch between the language option sets. The Quick CSS field is fully compatible with WPML – the only disadvantage is that you need to switch to all languages to save the quick css changes. So if you want to use your styling for ALL languages it’s better to add the css code to the child theme style.css file. On the other hand the Quick CSS field enables you to use some style code with certain languages only.
2) We have no documentation for WPML. There’s just one entry: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/translating-the-portfolio-slug-with-wpml/ regarding the portfolio slug setup. You can find the official WPML documentation here: http://wpml.org/documentation/
3) The Avia Builder is fully compatible with WPML. I recommend to duplicate the layout you want to translate. I.e. if you want to duplicate the English page/post tick the “duplicate” checkbox and click the duplicate button: http://www.clipular.com/c/6119929287802880.png?k=loBt_iScpDt0C3ouj7fQWSBncOw . Afterwards go to the duplicated “translation” of the page and click the “Translate Independently” button: http://www.clipular.com/c/6352167833174016.png?k=UZaLhUaust52mHmU_TkKpZ8RQnY . Then translate the template like a standard page (click on the elements to edit them, etc.)

You can use this shortcode:
[add_to_cart id="99"]and replace 99 with the product id.
You can’t use the shortcode with the Enfold button shortcode but the style of the button should be similar to the button shortcode style (like the add to cart button on the demo page: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/product/zoku-trioquick-pop-maker/ ).

Hi, i’m testing to see how WooCommerce will work with Enfold and I wanted to know if you might be able to help me figure something out.
I created products and I would like to add “buy buttons” on a non WooCommerce page (not a product page) that will go to the cart and will have all the information of a specific product. I know WooCommerce supports shortcodes but I can’t figure out which shortcode to use and also, how can I add a shortcode within an already existing Enfold button shortcode.
Any ideas?

You can enable the social buttons on Enfold > Extra Elements panel. Enfold comes with its own share section for posts but if you want to add your own, we usually recommend these plugins:

Hi Guys, I appreciate your help on this and understand you can not support third party products. I have been on the plugin support forum and see that they suggest the Enfold theme is causing the problem. Here is the explanation, perhaps one for Kriesi to look at?
(I have made the changes they suggested and this fixes the problem). Another example was the twitter Share button. Example:The Twitter share button for a Normal Enfold Blog Post would be:

Your theme doesn’t support the title of a post having HTML. You should get your theme author to fix this. It breaks plugins like Ai1ec, as well as the WP-Typography plugin.
If the theme uses the function the_title(), the theme author needs to change it to use the_title_attribute().
If it uses get_the_title(), then the theme author needs to strip HTML tags from the title manually, or escape them using something like the WP function esc_attr().
To change ai1ec to work around this bug, edit …../all-in-one-event-calendar/lib/http/response/render/strategy/html.php and comment out a line.
The line to comment out is line 99:
$title = ‘<span class=”summary”>’ . $title . ‘</span>’;
So you should end up with:// $title = ‘<span class=”summary”>’ . $title . ‘</span>’;

Topic: Social share buttons
Hi,
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I normally just use addthis social buttons on html sites. With Enfold I’m at a loss.
What is the best way to use social share buttons that doesn’t criple the site’s speed? I know I tried a couple of alternatives in the past and some slowed my site down immensely (html).I’d like to be able to add them to certain (but not all) pages, much in the same way that your page builder allows adding an image, and I’d lke to be able to add them to the sidebar on a few page types.
Most of the plugins I’ve looked seem to have issues or just horrendous buttons. I want something fairly subdued.
Can you give me some advice?

I created anchors and buttons for single page navigation using this method:

Sorry for the **Urgent** but this site launches tonight and I thought this issue was figured out but it isn’t.
I cannot use a Color Section to set the Anchor point because I am using a sidebar (enfold support–we need to address this issue) so I have set a text box using this as code:
<a style="padding-top: 184px;" name="additional-info"></a>The padding is because I am using a fixed header and is needed to stop the page where needed. My Anchor which is used in buttons is set to Manual Link/contact-us/#additional-infoWhen I click on the button it goes to the Contact Us page but does not scroll down to the anchor. I have tried many options but none have worked.
Oddly — I have used the EXACT same method on the Home page to go to an anchor on an interior page and it works perfectly.
Examples of Anchor Links —> Interior Page Anchor (working) http://69.195.124.179/~melitagr/ Click any of the 3 “Learn more” button links just under the Slider and beginning text. They go to the Why Us? page and then scroll to the appropriate spot.
Examples of Anchor Links —> Interior Page Anchor (not working) http://69.195.124.179/~melitagr/ Click any ‘Contact Us’ button throughout the site. It is suppose to go to the Contact Us page (which it does) and then scroll to the top of the Form (which it does not).
Any ideas?

Is there a way to use the shortcode for a slider or similar and make it works inside the product template?
Yes, if you rewrite the code. However it’s not easy and probably requires some hours of work because you need to find a way to set the slideshow images, etc. Basically you need to replace the featured image function with do_shortcode(): http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/do_shortcode to execute the slideshow shortcode – i.e. replace:echo get_the_post_thumbnail( $id , $size );with
echo do_shortcode( '[YOUR SORTCODE]' );and replace [YOUR SORTCODE] with the slideshow shortcode. The hard part is to generate the slideshow shortcode/content dynamically for each post.

Hi, I have installed the WPML plugin, but it doesn’t seem to be compatible with the Enfold Advanced Layout Editor?
I can click on a page or post to create a new language version of that page / post, but it doesn’t copy across the content for me to translate. When I click the ‘copy content from English’ button the builder elements do not copy over.

I’ve noticed on tablets such as ipad air that the quick mobile menu doesn’t show. Instead it shows the full normal navigation menu and in a lot of cases there isn’t enough room to do this on an ipad. So they overlap with the logo
I think that the quick button that appears on a mobile device should also be the standard for tablets. How can I bets modify the css to allow this?

Yes, I was trying to use enfold buttons first, then others from a plugin. I eventually tried the standard text plugin (I’d avoided it because it means creating stuff elsewhere and copying it into the text box afterwards and I was reluctant to do that) and found that it worked with 3rd party buttons. I didn’t have time to look at enfold buttons, so I’ll have another look tonight. I suppose I’m just being lazy.
