  • Hi Rikard,

    thx for your reply!

    As I has written – I switched to the classic-mode but after that I only can
    see the shortcode-edit-box (see screenshot 1).

    Another mystery is cleared – after the update wp switched automatically
    to the fullscreen-mode. This can be reversed with the button on the right
    side…ok…solved!

    But in the Avia-Mode I’m not able to scroll over the new bar at the bottom
    of the browser-window (see screenshot 2). This bar wasn’t there before
    WP 5.4!

    If you say you work also under OSX which system you use? I work with
    10.11.6 (El Capitan) I know it’s an old system but I can’t upgrade because
    of old software I need!

    With WP 5.3.2 and Avia everything is fine here! Should I downgrade WP?
    Or do you know now what kind of problem I have? This would be great! :)

    I’m looking forward to your new answer.

    Kind regards
    Carsten

    Hey StormWebDesign,

    Thanks for the login details. Could you point out an example which is not working on mobile? I had a quick look in your Quick CSS box and it looks like you have open media queries, for example:

    @media only screen and (min-width: 768px) {
    #top .logo img {
        width: auto;
        height: auto;
        max-height: 100%;
    margin: 24px 0 0 0;
    }

    /* Logo on Scroll */
    .header-scrolled .logo img, .header-scrolled.header-scrolled-full .logo img {
        max-height: 25px !important;
        margin-top: 8px !important;
    }

    You need to close all queries properly, otherwise all CSS within them will only apply to that screen width.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Topic: Blog Layout Issues

    Dear Team Enfold.

    Can you please help me with a couple of requests.

    I have a live site. I installed Enfold and I am using a child theme and everything looks good but my client requires a few tweaks to the css.

    1. Load More function on Category and Tag Pages. So basically when someone selects to view posts by category or clicks on a tag, the Load More function should show up.
    2. Auto-load next post (this is to increase user engagement on the site). So as a client scrolls through a post, the next post must auto-load.
    3. Show similar posts under a post (categories and tags). The website only shows tags currently. This refers to the “you may also like” section under posts where it currently pulls posts with similar tags. Can we also get it to pull posts with similar categories?
    4. In article ads – insertion after a few paragraphs. We would like this automated so that after every few paragraphs there should be ads showing up.
    5. Post view counter. So users should be able to see how many people have viewed a post.

    I have sent you the credentials.

    Hey tremblayly,
    Sorry for the late reply, when I looked at your site I saw two popups, one looks like it’s made with “popup press” with a blue background, and another that looked like it was made with the built-in lightbox. The popup press looks like it can be triggered with a link in the menu by adding a class to the menu item, please see here.
    Our built-in lightbox popup can’t be triggered with a menu link.
    But if you want to have another popup that can be triggered with a menu link try adding all of this code in a code block element on your page:

    <script>
    (function($) {

             // DOM Ready
            $(function() {

                // Binding a click event
                $('#menu-item-3144').on('click', function(e) {

                    // Prevents the default action to be triggered.
                    e.preventDefault();

                    // Triggering bPopup when click event is fired
                    $('#element_to_pop_up').bPopup();

                });

            });

        })(jQuery);

     (function(c){c.fn.bPopup=function(A,E){function L(){a.contentContainer=c(a.contentContainer||b);switch(a.content){case "iframe":var d=c('<iframe class="b-iframe" '+a.iframeAttr+"></iframe>");d.appendTo(a.contentContainer);t=b.outerHeight(!0);u=b.outerWidth(!0);B();d.attr("src",a.loadUrl);l(a.loadCallback);break;case "image":B();c("<img />").load(function(){l(a.loadCallback);F(c(this))}).attr("src",a.loadUrl).hide().appendTo(a.contentContainer);break;default:B(),c('<div class="b-ajax-wrapper"></div>').load(a.loadUrl,a.loadData,function(d,b,e){l(a.loadCallback,b);F(c(this))}).hide().appendTo(a.contentContainer)}}function B(){a.modal&&c('<div class="b-modal '+e+'"></div>').css({backgroundColor:a.modalColor,position:"fixed",top:0,right:0,bottom:0,left:0,opacity:0,zIndex:a.zIndex+v}).appendTo(a.appendTo).fadeTo(a.speed,a.opacity);C();b.data("bPopup",a).data("id",e).css({left:"slideIn"==a.transition||"slideBack"==a.transition?"slideBack"==a.transition?f.scrollLeft()+w:-1*(x+u):m(!(!a.follow[0]&&n||g)),position:a.positionStyle||"absolute",top:"slideDown"==a.transition||"slideUp"==a.transition?"slideUp"==a.transition?f.scrollTop()+y:z+-1*t:p(!(!a.follow[1]&&q||g)),"z-index":a.zIndex+v+1}).each(function(){a.appending&&c(this).appendTo(a.appendTo)});G(!0)}function r(){a.modal&&c(".b-modal."+b.data("id")).fadeTo(a.speed,0,function(){c(this).remove()});a.scrollBar||c("html").css("overflow","auto");c(".b-modal."+e).unbind("click");f.unbind("keydown."+e);k.unbind("."+e).data("bPopup",0<k.data("bPopup")-1?k.data("bPopup")-1:null);b.undelegate(".bClose, ."+a.closeClass,"click."+e,r).data("bPopup",null);clearTimeout(H);G();return!1}function I(d){y=k.height();w=k.width();h=D();if(h.x||h.y)clearTimeout(J),J=setTimeout(function(){C();d=d||a.followSpeed;var e={};h.x&&(e.left=a.follow[0]?m(!0):"auto");h.y&&(e.top=a.follow[1]?p(!0):"auto");b.dequeue().each(function(){g?c(this).css({left:x,top:z}):c(this).animate(e,d,a.followEasing)})},50)}function F(d){var c=d.width(),e=d.height(),f={};a.contentContainer.css({height:e,width:c});e>=b.height()&&(f.height=b.height());c>=b.width()&&(f.width=b.width());t=b.outerHeight(!0);u=b.outerWidth(!0);C();a.contentContainer.css({height:"auto",width:"auto"});f.left=m(!(!a.follow[0]&&n||g));f.top=p(!(!a.follow[1]&&q||g));b.animate(f,250,function(){d.show();h=D()})}function M(){k.data("bPopup",v);b.delegate(".bClose, ."+a.closeClass,"click."+e,r);a.modalClose&&c(".b-modal."+e).css("cursor","pointer").bind("click",r);N||!a.follow[0]&&!a.follow[1]||k.bind("scroll."+e,function(){if(h.x||h.y){var d={};h.x&&(d.left=a.follow[0]?m(!g):"auto");h.y&&(d.top=a.follow[1]?p(!g):"auto");b.dequeue().animate(d,a.followSpeed,a.followEasing)}}).bind("resize."+e,function(){I()});a.escClose&&f.bind("keydown."+e,function(a){27==a.which&&r()})}function G(d){function c(e){b.css({display:"block",opacity:1}).animate(e,a.speed,a.easing,function(){K(d)})}switch(d?a.transition:a.transitionClose||a.transition){case "slideIn":c({left:d?m(!(!a.follow[0]&&n||g)):f.scrollLeft()-(u||b.outerWidth(!0))-200});break;case "slideBack":c({left:d?m(!(!a.follow[0]&&n||g)):f.scrollLeft()+w+200});break;case "slideDown":c({top:d?p(!(!a.follow[1]&&q||g)):f.scrollTop()-(t||b.outerHeight(!0))-200});break;case "slideUp":c({top:d?p(!(!a.follow[1]&&q||g)):f.scrollTop()+y+200});break;default:b.stop().fadeTo(a.speed,d?1:0,function(){K(d)})}}function K(d){d?(M(),l(E),a.autoClose&&(H=setTimeout(r,a.autoClose))):(b.hide(),l(a.onClose),a.loadUrl&&(a.contentContainer.empty(),b.css({height:"auto",width:"auto"})))}function m(a){return a?x+f.scrollLeft():x}function p(a){return a?z+f.scrollTop():z}function l(a,e){c.isFunction(a)&&a.call(b,e)}function C(){z=q?a.position[1]:Math.max(0,(y-b.outerHeight(!0))/2-a.amsl);x=n?a.position[0]:(w-b.outerWidth(!0))/2;h=D()}function D(){return{x:w>b.outerWidth(!0),y:y>b.outerHeight(!0)}}c.isFunction(A)&&(E=A,A=null);var a=c.extend({},c.fn.bPopup.defaults,A);a.scrollBar||c("html").css("overflow","hidden");var b=this,f=c(document),k=c(window),y=k.height(),w=k.width(),N=/OS 6(_\d)+/i.test(navigator.userAgent),v=0,e,h,q,n,g,z,x,t,u,J,H;b.close=function(){r()};b.reposition=function(a){I(a)};return b.each(function(){c(this).data("bPopup")||(l(a.onOpen),v=(k.data("bPopup")||0)+1,e="__b-popup"+v+"__",q="auto"!==a.position[1],n="auto"!==a.position[0],g="fixed"===a.positionStyle,t=b.outerHeight(!0),u=b.outerWidth(!0),a.loadUrl?L():B())})};c.fn.bPopup.defaults={amsl:50,appending:!0,appendTo:"body",autoClose:!1,closeClass:"b-close",content:"ajax",contentContainer:!1,easing:"swing",escClose:!0,follow:[!0,!0],followEasing:"swing",followSpeed:500,iframeAttr:'scrolling="no" frameborder="0"',loadCallback:!1,loadData:!1,loadUrl:!1,modal:!0,modalClose:!0,modalColor:"#000",onClose:!1,onOpen:!1,opacity:.7,position:["auto","auto"],positionStyle:"absolute",scrollBar:!0,speed:250,transition:"fadeIn",transitionClose:!1,zIndex:9997}})(jQuery);

    and change this ID to the ID of your menu item:
    #menu-item-3144
    then when it is clicked the popup will show. You can also adjust the html & css of the popup to suit.
    Please let us know if you need some more help with this.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
    1) To change the submit button in the popup, I added this css:

    #responsive-form .avia_ajax_form input[type="submit"].button {
    	background-color: #000000;
    	color: #ffffff;
        border-color: #000000;
    }

    2) I see your text in the shortcode “Select the Activities You want to Involved in” above the checkboxes, but it’s not wrapped in a title field shortcode, please try building your form again so the title gets the correct shortcode for the fieldset.
    3) to add a scrollbar to your popup I added this css to your “.white-popup” class in your Quick CSS:

        overflow-y: auto;
        height: 600px;
    }

    please clear your browser cache and check.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Thanks: thats a good hint : i tried to realise it with addClass / removeClass – but only the direct way on inline css works :
    On mega-div open there is a class on that parent li that toggles – i use that for trigger : menu-item-mega-parent

    function no_scroll_on_mega_div_open(){
    ?>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    (function($) {
    	function a() {
    		var mega = $('.menu-item-mega-parent');
    		mega.on({
    			mouseover: function() {
    				$('html, body').css({'overflow': 'hidden','height': '100%'});
    			},
    			mouseleave: function() {
    				$('html, body').css({
    				'overflow-x': 'hidden',
    				'overflow-y': 'scroll',
      				'height': 'auto',
      			   });
    			}
    		});
    	}
    	a();
    })(jQuery);
    </script>
    <?php
    }
    add_action('wp_footer', 'no_scroll_on_mega_div_open');

    Can be closed

    Topic: Tab content on mobile

    Hello, I have tabbed content link below.

    Is there a way on mobile so that when the tabs are clicked it auto scrolls to the start of the content? The tabs take up so much height space that when clicked I don’t think its obvious for the user that they need to scroll down to view the content

    #1184425

    Hi,

    Thank you for the info.

    You can add this css code to adjust the position of the sub menu when the header shrinks or on window scroll.

    .html_header_top .header_color.header-scrolled .main_menu ul:first-child > li > ul {
    	top: auto;
    }

    Best regards,

    Dear Enfold Team,

    i did finally manage to get the Burger Menu fixed to the left thanks to your support.

    Now i would like to get the burger itself a bit changed:
    The 3 lines are transparent but that’s not always really visible.

    Can i change the burger “icon” to a circle with the lines in there?

    An example to the idea you can find here:
    http://www.zoo.ch

    My currently used custom css:
    /* Burger Menu shift up */
    #scroll-top-link {right:125px; }
    .html_av-overlay-side #top #wrap_all .av-burger-overlay li a {
    line-height: 2.3em;
    font-size: 18px;
    }

    /* Sticky burger on mobile left */
    @media only screen and (max-width: 990px) {
    .responsive #top .av-main-nav .av-burger-menu-main {
    position: fixed;
    top: 10px;
    left: 0px;
    }}

    /* Flyout Mobile left */
    .html_av-overlay-side .av-burger-overlay-scroll {
    right: auto;
    left: 0;
    }

    .html_av-overlay-side .av-burger-overlay-scroll {
    width: 350px;
    -webkit-transform: translateX(-350px);
    transform: translateX(-350px);
    }

    /* Center Logo on mobile */
    .responsive #top #wrap_all #header #header_main .inner-container .logo {
    width: auto;
    margin-right: auto;
    margin-left: auto;
    min-height: 100px;
    }

    We added 14 logo’s to the Partner/Logo block. Display them in 4 logo/rows slide autoscroll, no arrows.

    Problem is that only the first 8 show (in two blocks of four), when we increase the collumns to 5 we can see 2 times 5 is 10 logo’s. The last ones are never shown.

    With the arrowcontrol on we can select/show all logo’s, but that is not what we want. Is there a way to show all logog’s without arrow contol in a slideshow if there are more than 2 groups of logo’s to show?

    #1178548

    Hi,

    You’re welcome!

    We added this code in the Quick CSS field to adjust the size of the logo on scroll.

      .responsive .logo img {
        min-height: 100px !important;
        margin: 0 auto;
      }

      .responsive .av_header_transparency .logo img {
        min-height: 200px !important;
      }

    Best regards,

    Mike,

    I removed the comments because they only show as part of the builder, which automatically goes above the Mark Complete button like you said. I want them to display automatically on the post like they do in other themes with this plugin. I didn’t realize Enfold had this limitation.

    I added them back in the builder on this lesson (feel free to add and remove them from the builder on any lesson post type for testing purposes if that helps) so that you can see them, but seeing them or not shouldn’t solve the problem of them appearing above or below the Mark Complete button. I’m looking to have them included at the very bottom of a post as is naturally done on post types in WordPress, so removing the override that places the builder above it by default and having them included automatically instead of in the builder.

    I also added 5 comments manually to this post so that we can see about collapsing them to 3 posts though I would greatly prefer if the post types would automatically display comments even with the builder as on other themes. Do you see how a user would have to scroll through all of the comments to move on with the way this is working when using the builder component? It’s not good for UX at all. Test page URL below.

    Hi,
    Can’t tie this back to an exact update however my pages have become corrupt. Where I have a avia layout builder text block the existing text is not visiable when editing the element. In the element preview there is a prompt that says the following “It seems you are currently adding some HTML markup or other special characters. Once all HTML tags are closed the preview will be available again. If this message persists please check your input for special characters and try to remove them.”

    The page is a contact us page. It has a google map with GPS marker for our business. It has a text block with address and contact numbers and lastly, it has a contact form. Every other page that uses a text block also has the same issues. Above the avia layout builder is the classic editor which I prefer not to use or see. I am not able to apply any changes via the classic editor. I have tried recreating the page, removing blocks etc to no avail. Please assist urgently.

    Hey jajographics,

    The horizontal gallery is not built to be scrolling automatically. You could look at the content slider or look for a plugin that has the functionality you need.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi,
    I can’t seem to find where I can set the horizontal gallery to scroll automatically. Am I missing something?
    If it is not a setting within the component – do you have some code I can add to make it scroll automatically, and loop?
    If not, is there another module that will allow me to have a horizontal gallery (small height), that automatically scrolls and loops?
    thank you,
    J

    I would like to make it auto-scroll after 5 sec. – https://prnt.sc/qdmmqn
    I looked on your support but nothing found. Some users required it but not added yet to Enfold.

    Currently, I am looking for solution. If I will found then post here.
    Thanks

    Hi,

    Thank you for following up.

    Could you provide an example of the image that you’d like to use in the banner? Try to resize the banner image based on the size of the current image used in the demo (1500x997px) or based on the standard screen sizes (1920×1024, 1600x900px, 1360x768px etc). It is also recommended not to directly embed text in the banner images because as you may have noticed, the parallax container is automatically resized to cover the whole banner container and to create the parallax scroll effect.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey,
    Thank you for your work and the exceptional theme.
    I am trying to implement infinite scroll with masonry gallery. I’m using jscroll. It’s almost working but there are some problems. First the content were loaded but the pictures were set as hidden and opacity to 0. I am wondering why the class containing gallery part is called
    <div class="av-masonry-container isotope av-js-disabled ">
    and
    <div class="av-masonry-entry isotope-item av-masonry-item-no-image ">
    I revealed pictures by setting css rules to:

    .av-masonry-entry {
        visibility: visible !important;
        opacity: 1 !important;
    }

    Next problem is related to the lightboxes. All loaded pictures by jscroll won’t open as a lightbox. Instead they open in a new tab as a whole picture. In developer tools I see that the events are not attached to the gallery entries.
    I enclose the code:

    add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'load_jscroll' );

    function load_jscroll(){
    		wp_register_script('jscroll', 'https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/jscroll/2.4.1/jquery.jscroll.min.js', false, '1.11.3');
        wp_enqueue_script('jscroll');
    }

    function infinite_scroll() {
        global $avia_config;
            echo '<script type="text/javascript">
                jQuery( "#works-grid" ).jscroll( {
                debug: true,
                nextSelector: "span.current + a",
                contentSelector: ".works-grid",
                autoTrigger: true
            } )
            </script>';
    }

    add_action( 'wp_footer', 'infinite_scroll' );

    What am I doing wrong?

    #1163281

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    We modified the script in the functions.php file. It will now move the description below the pagination if it exists. If not, the script will move the description to the main wrapper below the product loop. Please note that this will only work in the initial page. The description will be removed automatically from the succeeding pages.

    You can use this css code to display back the “scroll to top” button on mobile view.

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
       .responsive #scroll-top-link {
           display: block !important;
       }
    }

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #1161528

    Hey dorisb123,
    Sorry for the late reply, for mobile the scroll to top button is hidden but adding this css will show it:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px){
    .responsive #scroll-top-link {
        display: block !important;
    }
    }

    On your example site the mobile menu is always at the bottom, so do you want your menu fixed to the bottom and always showing, or only show when you reach the bottom?
    I believe you can add a sub-menu and use this css:

    #top .av-submenu-container {
    position: fixed !important;
    bottom: 0 !important;
    height: auto;
    }

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    Yes. Basic selections:

    WP Dashboard -> Theme options page -> Privacy and Cookies Tab

    Enable cookie consent messages -> Select Enable cookie consent messages
    Default Cookie Behaviour: User must accept and must opt in, only essential cookies selected

    Scroll down to Modal Popup Window:
    Display Modal Popup Actions: Open immediately on pageload

    Scroll down to Advanced options:
    Check Show advanced options
    Show reopen badge – make your selection
    Auto Reload Page – make your selection

    Content of message bar and modal popup – Fill in text and use buttons you like/need.

    Also read the description text provided in each section.

    In oncoming 4.6.4 there will be a few more enhancements. See https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-upcoming-fixes/

    Best regards,
    Günter

    first : that is not possible.
    second: Look here: https://webers-testseite.de/feedxl/
    what is wrong on having it this way? in other words: what is the benefit of having the whole thing in one section.

    https://webers-testseite.de/feedxl-2/
    it is possible to have more than one background on a container – all definitions are separated by commata:
    see here a little tutorial: https://webers-testseite.de/multiple-background-images/
    You have to have the horse as cutoff png file.
    but you then have the problem on responsive case with the not growing half part at the bottom – so the text has no place to be in there – and it grows then to the top into the other half.
    (on that example i have the custom-id of halbhalb (that is the german expression for halfhalf)
    and that color-section got no padding!:

    #halbhalb {
    	background-repeat: 	no-repeat;
    	background-image: 	url(https://webers-testseite.de/wp-content/uploads/pferd.png), linear-gradient(#f2d7d0 50%, #fe6d6a 50% );
    	background-attachment: 	scroll;
    	background-position: 50% top, center center;
    	background-size: auto 50% , 100% 100%;
    }

    #halbhalb.avia-section.av-minimum-height .container .content {
        vertical-align: bottom;
    }

    So my advice is to use two color-sections. https://webers-testseite.de/feedxl/

    Hi there,

    I used the following code to make the transparent logo lager then header:

    .logo img, .logo a {
        max-height: none !important;
    }

    .logo {
        height: auto;
    }

    That worked fine but now I recognized, that the transparent image “container” overlaps with the body content.
    So some buttons in the body content are not clickable if the transparent logo is over them by scrolling.

    Any idea how I could solve this?
    Thank you for your help!

    Greetings
    Martin

    Hallo,

    eine Avia Tabelle (Data Table) hat 3 Spalten und diese sind am Smartphone horizontal zu scrollen. Am Desktop wird der Scrollbalken überall automatisch angezeigt, wenn man das Fenster schmäler macht. Am Smartphone mit Android jedoch nicht. Nur wenn mit dem Finger nach rechts swiped, ist er kurz da und blendet sich wieder aus. Das Problem ist, dass User somit nicht erkennen können, dass sie nach rechts weiter swipen können.

    Gibt es hierfür irgendeine Lösung, bspw. ein CSS Snippet?

    Bei der Tabelle ist bereits die Option “” eingestellt.
    Responsive Styling
    Select which table styling should be used if the screen is too small for the table.
    “Make entire Table scrollable”.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The minimum height property is probably added automatically by the slider because it’s not from the theme. And if you noticed the actual revolution slider wrapper’s height property value is the same as the value of the minimum height, so it’s possible that the slider applies it on both the wrapper and its parent container.

    <div id="revolutionslider_1" class="avia-layerslider avia-revolutionslider main_color avia-shadow  avia-builder-el-3  el_after_av_section  el_before_av_section   slider-not-first container_wrap fullsize" style="  <strong>min-height: 405px;</strong>" data-ce-key="265">
    			<!-- START HOW CARDS REVOLUTION SLIDER 6.1.3 -->
    			<rs-fullwidth-wrap id="rev_slider_2_1_forcefullwidth" style="margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;" data-ce-key="266"><rs-module-wrap id="rev_slider_2_1_wrapper" data-source="post" style="background: rgb(231, 231, 231) none repeat scroll 0% 0%; padding: 0px; margin: 0px auto; position: absolute; overflow: visible; width: 792px; left: 0px; <strong>height: 405px;</strong>" class="" data-ce-key="267">

    Hi! I’ve changed the size of transparant logo and that works perfect, but when you scroll down the logo is for 1 sec being smaller before it shows the default logo.

    This is the css code i’m using:

    #top .av_header_transparency.av_alternate_logo_active .logo {
    height: 200%;
    width: auto;
    overflow: visible;
    }

    Tried without #top but also didn’t work.

    Any ideas? See link in private data to see what I mean!
