  • Hey Bernd,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    Edit the second portfolio grid and set its “Portfolio Grid Image Size” to the second option. You can then manually define or select the thumbnail size that you prefer.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hey zerodotnine,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    You have to regenerate the thumbnails or upload the images again after adjusting their size. The following plugin should help.

    Hello,
    Somewhere on this forum I found a list of supported graphic formats/thumbnails used by Enfold. .I can not find the list anymore but i made once a screenshot, see below. Is this still an actual list?
    Thanks Henri

    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘widget’] = array(‘width’=>36, ‘height’=>36); // small preview pics eg sidebar news
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘square’] = array(‘width’=>180, ‘height’=>180); // small image for blogs
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘featured’] = array(‘width’=>1500, ‘height’=>430 ); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘featured_large’] = array(‘width’=>1500, ‘height’=>630 ); // images for fullsize pages and fullsize slider
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘extra_large’] = array(‘width’=>1500, ‘height’=>1500 , ‘crop’ => false); // images for fullscrren slider
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘portfolio’] = array(‘width’=>495, ‘height’=>400 ); // images for portfolio entries (2,3 column)
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘portfolio_small’] = array(‘width’=>260, ‘height’=>185 ); // images for portfolio 4 columns
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘gallery’] = array(‘width’=>845, ‘height’=>684 ); // images for portfolio entries (2,3 column)
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘magazine’] = array(‘width’=>710, ‘height’=>375 ); // images for magazines
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘masonry’] = array(‘width’=>705, ‘height’=>705 , ‘crop’ => false); // images for fullscreen masonry
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘entry_with_sidebar’] = array(‘width’=>845, ‘height’=>321); // big images for blog and page entries
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘entry_without_sidebar’]= array(‘width’=>1210, ‘height’=>423 );

    #1147293

    I found that the solution was to go to Enfold theme options > Blog Layout > Related Entries and choose “Show Thumbnail and post title by default”. This case can be closed.

    Hello. I’m using the Gallery With Preview thumbnails : https://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shortcodes/gallery/

    (1) Is there a way to add a custom / selected css class to the thumbnail you’re on or hovering over?
    (2) Also, is it possible to change the hover to a click?

    Thanks!

    Hi,
    Today I decided to hide the content of my uploads directories and I paste into each directory and sub-directory an empty index.html

    After that every images already used in my homepage won’t appear. I tried to :

    – Remove the index.html files
    – Remove cache
    – Regenerate thumbnails
    – Regenerate permalinks
    – Go back into a previous database save
    – Updating the Enfold theme
    – De-activate re-activate enfold child theme
    – Disable enable all plugins

    Also I forgot but all a section with a contact form (the enfold one) and two text blocks doesn’t appear anymore :/

    When I’m using these images or a contact form in a new page, it’s working, but not on my homepage when all of this is gone.

    Do you have any ideas ?

    Thank you very much for your answers

    Hi, I want to remove the single image zoom function from woocommerce. Just wondering if the thread below is accurate in terms it now being available in Enfold? I couldn’t find it. thanks

    Hi,

    Thank you for using our theme.

    Just for information: In the next version of Enfold there will be an option to disable the zoom effect and to change the number of thumbnails below the big image using the 3.0 gallery feature.

    Best regards,
    Günter

    Hi everybody! I’m struggeling with the Blog-Layout of Enfold.
    I’d like to display the featured image in the full size.
    I changed the images size in functions.php and regenerated thumbnails but still Enfold shows the cropped version of the image.
    Settings:
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘featured’] = array(‘width’=>800, ‘height’=>1198 );
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘entry_without_sidebar’]= array(‘width’=>800, ‘height’=>1198 );

    The Blog Layout is set on ‘singe-big’ (Einzelner Autor, großes Miniaturbild (kein Autorenbild dargestellt, großes Feature-Bild)
    und Einzelpost mit großem Vorschaubild (vorgestellten Bild).

    There is an other strange thing: One of the posts is not showing the featured image at all. Setting is on “Show on single entry” … URL is in private content area.

    Hope you can help out & THX!

    Hey webWahine,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

    You need to disable the “crop” parameter of the “entry_without_sidebar” thumbnail, or adjust its maximum width and height value. The Simple Image Sizes plugin should do the trick. If you don’t want to regenerate the existing images, just remove the featured images from the Media > Library and upload them again.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    For our page we have 1000 questions and answers from youths. They all have the same two featured images. Therefore, the recommended article overview becomes strange like on this post, especially on mobile where there is no text on hover. It then looks like this:
    screenshot
    In that case, the users will not know which article they are forwarded to, since there is no post title on hover on mobile. One option would be to find different featured images and replace for all posts. It will look better, but still the user cannot guess which article he is forwarded to. I think that the post title should always be visible. If I choose to keep the existing featured images, is it possible to change the recommended readings from only thumbnails of the featured image to post titles with links?

    #1145624

    Hi darnott75,

    Can you try adding this code in your functions.php (we suggest using a child theme and use it there, so it will not be removed on theme update):

    add_filter('avf_post_featured_image_link', 'custom_post_featured_image_link', 10, 3);

    function custom_post_featured_image_link($thumb, $current_post, $size) {
    	if ( is_single( get_the_ID() ) ) {
    		return get_the_post_thumbnail( get_the_ID(), 'full' );
    	}
    	return $thumb;
    }

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hey Dorsetto,

    In your WordPress Dashboard, go to Appearance > Customize > Woocommerce > Product Images > Thumbnail width, replace 300 with other values and save.
    Then try to re-upload your product image.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    The maximum size of the images in a masonry element is 705x451px. You can alter it by adjusting the size of the “masonry” thumbnail. This plugin will help.

    Hello
    I’ve looked at lots of posts and tried a bunch of things. I’m using the elegant blog setting in a full width page.

    I need all of my images to be their native width and height values, from masonry grid thumbnails (working nicely!), to single post featured images above the post text. Please advise and thank you in advance :)

    css –

    #top .fullsize .template-blog .big-preview img {
        width: 100%;
    	height: 100% !important;
    }

    .big-preview img {
        width: 100% !important;
    	height: auto !important;
    }

    .html_elegant-blog #top .big-preview img {
        width: 100% !important;
    	height: auto !important;
    }

    .html_elegant-blog .entry-content-wrapper .big-preview.single-big {
        width: 100% !important;
    	height: auto !important;
    	margin: 10px 0px 30px 0px !important;
    }

    .html_elegant-blog .entry-content-wrapper .big-preview.single-big img {
        width: 100% !important;
    	height: auto !important;
    	margin: 10px 0px 30px 0px !important;
    }

    .single .big-preview {
        width: 800px !important;
        height: auto !important;
    }

    I set the media settings to 0 for all three and it didn’t make a difference, so I set it back to my other settings.
    I could install the simple image sizes plugin but this site has a huge image library, and I don’t want to ruin what’s already there.

    Hey Haycreations,

    Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css,  if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css

    #top.woocommerce .thumbnail_container img {
        width: 250px;
        height: 250px;
    }

    If you need further assistance please let us know.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Topic: Change featured images

    in forum Enfold

    I would appreciate some recommendations on how to improve the display of featured images on our custom post type “q_a”.

    For our page we have 1000 questions and answers from youths. They all have the same two featured images. Therefore, the recommended article overview becomes strange like on this post, especially on mobile where there is no text on hover. In that case, the users will not know which article they are forwarded to. One option would be to find different featured images and replace for all posts.

    For my custom post type q_a I feel that the featured image takes up too much of the screen in the category achieve pages on cellphone. This makes it necessary for the user to scroll a lot on mobile to look through the archive headings. Can I make it the same shape on the archive page as when I enter the post (long and narrow, but fullwidth instead of 80% like it is in the post header now) on mobile?

    I would also like to remove the featured image from displaying inside the custom post type q_a on all devices. Particularly on desktop it does not make sense to blow up an image that is not that interesting (because the user have seen it many times already).

    Would you recommend me to change pictures or edit the way the existing pictures display? If I choose to keep the existing featured images, is it possible to change the recommended readings from thumbnails of the featured image to post titles with links?

    What do you mean with ALB?

    There are two Elements for Downloading the PDF on this site, a button and an image, which shows the first page of the folder as thumbnail. That’s all…

    #1144455

    @danielmarsch

    You don’t need to add snippet over snippet, you can just use the plugin https://de.wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/

    – There you can see then at settings -> media all the originally from ENFOLD created sizes.
    – There you can change these sizes to your desire AND at the bottom regenerate thumbnails then for correct working.
    – If you do not need an image size you can set there the size to 0/0 and it won’t be created in the future.
    – There you can also define the cropping of the images

    In my Enfold Woo commerce Shop archive, column number is set to 3 & images are square, however there seems to be a lot of white space between the columns.
    I would like to reduce this space by increasing the size of the thumbnails & have tried doing this via Dashboard > appearance > customise > Woo commerce > Product images (& clearing cache each time) but it doesn’t seem to make any difference.
    I’ve also installed Simple Image Size plugin but again changing thumbnail sizes / regenerating thumbnails doesn’t seem to have an effect on the Shop Product Archive image size. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    How do I change the image size of Dashboard >woo commerce> product thumbnails ?
    They are currently showing at 36 x 36 pixels.
    I have tried changing dimensions in the Php functions code (below) from 36 to 80, but I’m assuming I’m not editing the right piece of code because it has had no effect.
    $avia_config[‘imgSize’][‘widget’] = array(‘width’=>80, ‘height’=>80); // small preview pics eg sidebar news
    I’ve also tried using using Simple Image size plugin but am not sure which image relates to the Dashboard thumbnails.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    On the blog landing page with a grid layout, how can I change the blog title size below the thumbnail image?

    Thank you Ismael,

    I have done likes you explain. Do you think “alt” tag defines the image in following code?:

    <a href="https://www.kazdaglariotel.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/site-bahcesi-peyzaj-projesi-06.jpg" id='av-masonry-1-item-1708' data-av-masonry-item='1708' class='av-masonry-entry isotope-item post-1708 attachment type-attachment status-inherit hentry av-masonry-item-with-image av-landscape-img' title="TiTle" itemprop="thumbnailUrl" ><div class='av-inner-masonry-sizer'></div><figure class='av-inner-masonry main_color'><div class="av-masonry-outerimage-container" alt="AlTernative Text"><div class="av-masonry-image-container" style="background-image: url(https://www.kazdaglariotel.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/site-bahcesi-peyzaj-projesi-06-705x396.jpg);" title="TiTle" ></div></div><figcaption class='av-inner-masonry-content site-background'><div class='av-inner-masonry-content-pos'><div class='av-inner-masonry-content-pos-content'><div class='avia-arrow'></div><h3 class='av-masonry-entry-title entry-title ' itemprop="headline" >TiTle</h3></div></div></figcaption></figure></a><!--end av-masonry entry-->

    When I have tested page with “Alt text tester” chrome extention, it doesn’t show alt text of images expect logo image. I think, “alt” tag should be in first codes after “Title” tag.

    For example;
    <a href="https://www.kazdaglariotel.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/site-bahcesi-peyzaj-projesi-06.jpg" id='av-masonry-1-item-1708' data-av-masonry-item='1708' class='av-masonry-entry isotope-item post-1708 attachment type-attachment status-inherit hentry av-masonry-item-with-image av-landscape-img' title="TiTle" alt="AlTernative Text" itemprop="thumbnailUrl" >

    Am I wrong?

    Hi,

    Thanks! It seems like you have not registered to our support forum though.
    Please register here – https://kriesi.at/support/register/

    In the meantime, i went to Autoptimize > Images, changed quality to lossless and regenerated thumbnails again but that did not help. I am seeing following notice on dashboard

    Your ShortPixel image optimization and CDN quota was used, add more credits to keep fast serving optimized images on your site. If you already have enough credits then you may need to associate your domain to your Shortpixel account.

    I believe that might be the reason why some of your images have low quality.

    Please check your options with Shortpixel. If you would like to disable it, disabling image optimization option and regenerating images once again should help.

    Hi Jade,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    I checked your website and blurry images you are serving through CDN are missing srcset attribute while sharp images have it. Could you please try regenerating thumbnails using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/ and check if that helps?

    Also, i searched your email in our database however user cannot be found. Could you please share purchase code or email connected to your account so we can reset your forum account? Since we only provide support to our registered users, it would be great to solve the login issue you are having as well.

    Alles klar. Mit dem ersten PHP-Schnipsel, das die 344*344-Größe registriert und erzeugt und dem “Regenerate Thumbnails”-Plugin läuft alles wie geschmiert. Vielen Dank nochmal!
