My main concern is not that “when they open the blog post it should fill the whole area above the text.” but that the image appears properly on the Magazine Element.

Isn’t there a ways to make the image on the thumbnail not be squished or stretched, but rather cropped?

I think it is a bit strange, the icon suggests the thumbnail is editable in my opinion. I’m curious which modification I have to do to change the icon.

Thanks for the quick reply. I see no where in the location you specified to edit the thumbnail image. If you clicked on the link in my first post you’ll see the thumbnails I’m referring too. I’m assuming I need to edit the html in one of the files but don’t no which one it would be.

I am aware that on the demo the size of the images have the same width and ratio. If you check out the link I shared in private you will see a magazine element. This is what I want: the big image to have a wide ratio and the thumbnail to have a square one (80×80). The result now is that:

when the featured image is wide it looks good as a main article (ie “Welcome to reality” image) the thumbnail of the same image looks bad when it appears as a secondary entry (as you can see on the right. The opposite happens with the square images (ie “COP reloaded” image. Filter NEWS to see how it looks as a main entry).

So if you would filter the magazine element by “NEWS” you will see that the image in the center is square (and if you’d go to the post itself you’d find that the image looks very bad http://dev.worldfuturecouncil.org/2015/12/15/cop-reloaded/). In your demo, I assume, you have uploaded square images to entries that you know where going to be secondary. And here http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/2014/04/13/lego-is-on-the-rise/ you just have set manually a header image.

So you use this image as a header http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/files/2013/10/photodune-3549872-beach-drink-m-710×270.jpg and this one as a thumbnail http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/files/2013/10/photodune-3549872-beach-drink-m-80×80.jpg.

This won’t be a solution for me because we will have different users uploading articles, and I need it to be automatic. Before I boutgh the theme I was checking this feature and it looked like an automatic procedure, now I see that it wasn’t, but I still need some assistance on this.

On a side note I understand that you guys must have a million questions to answer to every day, but I would appreciate it if you could pay a closer look at what it’s being asked. Although I appreciate the help a lot, your last answer (by Ismael) it’s not only useless to my case specifically but it makes me feel that you didn’t look into the issue. You just answered with a fact (rather than a suggestion) that I can find out by myself by inspecting the Enfold Demo.

I don’t mean to be rude, and I do appreciate all the help that is being provided, the support service is really good. I’m just not happy with this last answer, that’s all.

Hi Yes it is there. Customized below the text “Like this episode? Follow us on YouTube and Facebook” Four thumbnails in a row. The title isn’t displayed automatically. You have to choose what is shown. Up until now we have chosen not to display title or excerpt. But this slider appears on 50+ posts.

When you scroll down to the first tab on the given webpage I have added a temporary tabpage in a tab (“Temporary test tabpage for Kriesi Support – images in a row”) with this problem of how to get images (with captions) in a row decently.

Also I put a gallery below it that will keep displaying images in thumbnails although I have selected “medium size”.

It’s working except now when I switch to mobile, the alignment goes off. Is it possible to centralize and divide them equally i.e. 3 thumbnails on each row?

Also, how do I display the entry title below the thumbnail?

for 1) I have tried these, but in the masonary element, and portfolio grid element neither of these will allow me to choose my categories. I have updated the portfolio categories and published the pages in the portfolio section, but once adding the elements to the page section, I have no option for them. How do I pass this?

You can select multiple categories here. The Page will then show posts from only those categories. (this one does not even have a drop down menu)

I’m using this as an example of something similiar i was trying to do on my projects page. The thumbnail preview is customized to the shape of the thumbnail box. I would like to also be selective about what the thumbnail preview shows. Also directly under the thumbnail is the title of the image freefloating. This is also exactly what I desire.

Hi. I disabled plugins but Slide Image & Thumbnails are still all missing. I have enclosed login-information, and you are allowed to turn plugins off.

Also I’ve a problem with list/grid toggle plugin (it’s a free plugin from woothemes) and works in all woocommerce theme.. but in yours the layout are brokern..
In abundance theme the solution was this :

}

width: 200px !important;

}

But in Enfold theme doesn’t works.. after the css mod the layout is:

Thanks for the help. I fixed the Romance Tag issue. I still need help with these two:

1. Some post don’t display the thumbnail image. (I believe it is on the archived post pages that their is no thumbnail image.)

2. Is there a way for me to add a full width banner at the top of category overview pages? I’d also like to remove the word “Post” above book title.

That title is not included in the theme by default. Did you add any filter in the functions.php file? If you want to a full width banner on top of the archive pages, please edit the archive.php and tag.php file.

I didn’t add anything to the functions.php file. I’m not a programmer. Can provide more details on how to delete the word Post and add a banner to the archived pages? I’ll send you login info in a private message.
