    Hi,

    Issue 1:
    The size of the Related Products image are disproportionate to the page and the thumbnails need to be smaller.

    Have you tried to adjust the size of the Catalog Images thumbnail?

    Issue 2:
    The Related Products thumbnails are automatically placing on a dark strip background which looks really weird. How do we remove this background and place the thumbnails under the product description box.

    That is the default style of the related section. If you want to change the background color, please use this in the Quick CSS field:

    .single-product .alternate_color {
        background-color: #ffffff;
        border-top: 0;
    }

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Andy,

    I was already of that solution, however, it’s not optimum. Now we are adding as second layer of images, why not just draw through the actual category thumbnail? It should work on Woocommerce as it does on Abundance theme.

    The code I sued in my response to Ismael works to place it on the page but breaks on positioning.

    Thanks
    Vincent

    Thanks for your reply
    just made few css adjustnemt on child css and managet to display the thumbnails at the side of the big pic.
    this is even better than the top.
    also fixed the croping of thumbnales like it was sujestet in other topic.
    all good.

    Hi,

    Add this in the Quick CSS field:

    .av-upcoming-event-image {
        border-radius: 0;
        width: 180px;
    }

    Set the border-radius to 400px if you want to keep the round thumbnail.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    The pink line is gone! :D

    The problems still happening are:

    1. I added the code to add thumbnails in search and it leaves the space for it, but no image.
    2. Is there any way to add space after the categories before the title of the next post in the archives?

    Thank you, Josue! Literally every time you have helped, it has worked brilliantly! Thank you so much!

    Hi Ismael,

    Yes, the site is 100% Enfold. I have now regenerated thumbnails (plugin: Regenerate Thumbnails) and it is still the same issue. Something else is surely wrong and speaking with Woocommerce people they advise to go to theme builders. I know categories can work for the same size as we see them in the demo here: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/shop/

    Also, it seems off that I am having similar issues with the related thumbnails being too big and displaying incorrectly with a huge coloured background as in the same ticket here: #651631

    Thanks
    Vincent

    #653319

    Hey!

    Is the site originally created from Enfold? Did you regenerate the thumbnails?

    Cheers!
    Ismael

    Hey navindesigns!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    Edit the blog post element, look for the Preview Image Size settings. Set it to manual then select the thumbnail size.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    That works great but when I add a custom field the thumbnail disappears in the feed.
    Is there a way I can include the custom field and the thumbnail image in the RSS feed?

    I tried like this but it only shows one or the other not both:

    //add custom field – feed – to feed for portfolio
    function avia_add_images_to_rss_feed($content)
    {
    global $post;
    if ( has_post_thumbnail( $post->ID ) ){
    $content = ‘<p>’ . get_the_post_thumbnail( $post->ID, ‘medium’ ) . ‘</p>’ . get_the_excerpt();}

    $contentmod = get_post_meta( $post->ID, ‘feed’, true );
    if ( $contentmod ) { $content = $contentmod; }
    return $content;
    }

    add_filter(‘the_excerpt_rss’, ‘avia_add_images_to_rss_feed’);
    add_filter(‘the_content_feed’, ‘avia_add_images_to_rss_feed’);

    Hi,

    Enable the Hard Crop option of the Catalog Images in the Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Display > Product Images section. Regenerate the thumbnails afterwards. Or upload images with the same size and proportion.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

    I have part of the solution which is to add the following to the functions.php. However, it needs to be resized with the following CSS. The only problem with this is it pushes the thumbnail to the extreme left into the sidebar. I have now removed the code and asking for support here.
    Thanks
    Vincent

    add_action( 'woocommerce_archive_description', 'woocommerce_category_image', 2 );
    function woocommerce_category_image() {
        if ( is_product_category() ){
            global $wp_query;
            $cat = $wp_query->get_queried_object();
            $thumbnail_id = get_woocommerce_term_meta( $cat->term_id, 'thumbnail_id', true );
            $image = wp_get_attachment_url( $thumbnail_id );
            if ( $image ) {
                echo '<div class="product-category-image"><img src="' . $image . '" alt="" /></div>';
            }
        }
    }

    CSS for thumbnail to left:

    .product-category-image {
      max-width: 200px;
      float: left;
      margin-right: 1em;
    }

    Hi,

    you could try to use this code for the image in question:

    <a href="images/fullscreen/2.jpg" target="_blank" rel="prettyPhoto" title="This is the description"><img src="images/thumbnails/t_2.jpg" width="60" height="60" alt="This is the title" /></a>

    Adjust the values as needed.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    I want to create a lightbox gallery with thumbnails that are all on the same row. Ideally with arrows either side to scroll through more images. Is this possible with enfold?

    Similar to the perfect grid mason gallery, except instead of images dropping down on to a second row, they go off the page and you must click to scroll through them.

    Hi,
    Is there a way of forcing the sizes of the thumbnails on a store category page to be all of the same size?
    At the moment, it picks up the category thumbnail and displays it unevenly.

    Thanks

    Hi Support,

    I am in the process of putting together a solution (using Enfold) that has a shop. I noticed on the Related Products that there are two issues that make it look really odd.

    Issue 1:
    The size of the Related Products image are disproportionate to the page and the thumbnails need to be smaller.

    Issue 2:
    The Related Products thumbnails are automatically placing on a dark strip background which looks really weird. How do we remove this background and place the thumbnails under the product description box.

    How did the background get like this, or is it a default?

    I have enclosed a screenshot below of how it looks.

    Thanks
    Vincent

    I’m trying all my related product images plus text to be the same size. Is there a way to set the size of the box (which encompasses the thumbnail image and the title of the image) to be a consistent size? For instance, can I make the height a set size so all related images boxes are 150px instead of some being taller or shorter based on the size of the picture or length of the title?

    Here are two links where you can see how different the box sizes are on the page:

    And here is an example of what I’d like to see: http://int-bio.com/relatedproducts.jpg So, the width could be like it is now, but the height would be taller so the outlined grey rule would be the same height for all related products.

    Also, is there a way to center the related items instead of having them flush left? So if there are three, they would center like this:
    http://int-bio.com/3centered.jpg Or if there were only two they would center like this: http://int-bio.com/2centered.jpg.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Ismael,

    Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, that is not what I meant.
    I don’t want the banner image on each category. I want to use the thumbnail image so that it places directly to the left of the content on the category pages.
    Here are two examples of websites that use this:
    Bathrooms site: http://bathrooms.plus/z/showers/ (Notice the category thumbnail displays on the page).
    Manscape site: (Abundance theme): http://www.manscape.co.uk/a/skincare/eye-care/ (The same, category thumbnail appears on page).

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Please try adding this code to the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child themes style.css file:

    span.fallback-post-type-icon + *, span.fallback-post-type-icon + * + * {
        display: none!important;
    }
    .avia-content-slider .fake-thumbnail .slide-image {
        border: none;
        min-height: 0;
    }

    Hi guys,

    I am using the enfold media player to play two videos on our websites. The videos are hosted on maxCDN and have to be as we may not host on Youtube or Vimeo due to our type of business.

    We created two jpg-files as video thumbnails and have been using the code that you provided in another threat. However, it does not really work. See code attached:

    On the contrary, when we use the code in the video player it shows an error message and does delete the code from the player. We also tried using a blank text box, switched to “text” mode and inserted the code in there, but that way it simply does not show anything.

    Please can you help, we have a website that is using Masonry Gallery to display high quality images.

    The thumbnails are fine but when you click to open up an image it looses its quality like it has compressed it somehow…?

    If I create just a stand alone image box and add the same image here it allows you to choose the quality of the image whereas the gallery doesn’t! When I do this and click on the image to enlarge it is perfect you see the full image quality.

    Is there something I am missing with regards to the galleries such as the Masonry one?

    So to recap Click on Media Elements choose image, insert the image with the highest quality works perfectly.

    Use one of the Galleries like the Masonry Gallery insert the image, run the page then click on the image to enlarge it and the image quality is poor…

    Please help…

    Hi,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

    Yes, it will show the excerpt if it’s available, if not, it will display the title. Add this function:

    function get_the_feature_caption() {
    			$thumbnail_id    = get_post_thumbnail_id($the_id);
    			$thumbnail_image = get_posts(array('p' => $thumbnail_id, 'post_type' => 'attachment'));

    			if ($thumbnail_image && isset($thumbnail_image[0])) {
    			$caption = '<span>'.$thumbnail_image[0]->post_content.'</span>';
    			}
    			return $caption;
    		}

    Fetch the image description like this:

    $featured_img_caption = get_the_feature_caption();

    Best regards,
    Ismael
