    Hi,

    as I said this gets very confusing for us, which really does not help us to assist you. If you talk about thumbnails in this thread then stick to this topic and open a different ticket if you talk about next issue.

    Please always use screenshots to show us what you’re talking about. Very difficult and time consuming for us if we have to scroll up to find what you’re talking about in one post. If you don’t want to post a screenshot again then send us the link of the post where we find the screenshots in question. Make things clear for us and help us to be able to easily assist you. Otherwise no one gets satisfied at all.

    As far as I understand it you want to get 4 columns as in your old website, but I checked both websites and it they both have 2 columns:

    View post on imgur.com

    Maybe it would be best if you just open completely new tickets and make things crystal clear for us, so we can help you in achieving what you want.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    On both single portfolio and single blog post views the navigation to previous/next posts dispalys a huge preview thumbnail.

    How can I de-activate this?

    Hi,

    As I understand you need to display the product size and add to cart button on the shop page under every product thumbnail correct?

    Please refer to this link

    If you like to use some plugins please check this link

    Thank you, Yigit! That worked great.

    Is it possible to have a circle thumbnail in the “Wer schreibt hier?” widget on the start page as well: http://welt-der-vorfahren.de/ ? What would be the code?
    Or is it somehow different because it is the Meks Smart Author plugin widget using a Gravatar image? Could it be controlled by custom CSS as well? I didn’t find anything on the plugin page.

    Thank you for your excellent support.
    Kind regards

    Hi Andy!
    Here is our principle “Changes happened after updating Enfold.Child” and I talks still about what happened after I updated Enfold theme with Enfold-Child. All questions related to updating.
    You can look at http://stottehandel.gomoero.com/ this was basically before updating.
    Those small thumbnails on menuline are not so interesting anymore.

    Now I talk about next issue in all Category views and frontage that there are only 2 column’s.You can see here the price is not where it shuld be.
    As the last and first DropBox pictures shows hanging all Enquire objectives of product images. There are the two columns of Product photos. Here there should be 4 columns and the same shall it be when viewing the product category.

    We can take rest of the issues one by one if you like.

    Hi,

    are you still talking about the thumbnails? please stick to one topic only, otherwise it gets very confusing for us and other people trying to find answers here. Use different tickets for different questions.

    Thanks for the screenshots, but also send us precise links showing the elements in question please.

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi,

    The reality however is that most of my clients have no clue at all about photoshop and are not able to maintain this by themselves. They get a logo, whatever size or ratio from their partner and know perhaps that they need/can reduce the size, but to get them all in the same size is a completely different story…

    And that’s why we have web designers and developers. We can force the images or thumbnails to be resize to a specific dimension but parts of these images may be remove or cut off.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    #675998

    Sorry I have no example online at the moment. Maybe I can prepare something for tomorrow.

    Maybe I need to be more specific:

    I have several posts, each of these has a thumbnail of let’s say 700 x 500.

    These thumbnails are shown …
    … on the hompage in 1/2 columns
    … below posts in 1/3 columns
    … on a blog page fullsized
    using the post-slider widget.

    The images get shrunk so they fit into each spot perfectly – they are responsive. The problem however is that the filesize stays the same regardless of the imagesize.

    Hey guys,

    we recommended Enfold to several customers and the feedback in general is very good. However lately I discovered a problem with the filesize of thumbnail images that negatively effect the pagespeed.

    On one website I used the post-slider to display new posts on the homepage as well as to show related articles below a post. This workaround was needed because I use the advanced editor on each page/post so the built in related posts function does not work.

    The Problem: The thumbnails get shrinked so they fit to the assigned spot but the image filesize stays the same. This totally ruins google pagespeed rankings.

    Is there a way to automatically resize the individual thumbnails? Or do you have any other suggestions on how to solve this problem?

    Hi,

    use this code inside Quick CSS field:

    #top .thumbnail_container img {
    width: 80%;
    }

    and adjust as needed.

    Hi Enfold-team

    I managed to change the thumbnails in the Enfold combo and latest news widgets to be circles with the help of the discussions in this forum.
    But unfortunately, they still look strange, with the squared border and colored padding around them. I would prefer to make them look like in the fly-out post slider navigation. Please see: http://welt-der-vorfahren.de/2015/12/spur-fuehrt-nach-koeln/
    I use the widgets in the sidebar and footer.

    Similar to this, I am also wondering how I could remove the border around all images within the posts, both in the excerpts on the blog page and on single post pages. (In contrast to this, at the moment there are no borders around featured images and images on pages)

    Looking forward to your assistance and thank you in advance.

    Hey!

    Do the following:
    1. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
    2. Go to Settings > Media
    3. Change the entry_with_sidebar image size (increase its height).
    4. Regenerate the thumbnails by clicking the button at the bottom.

    Cheers!
    Josue

    Hi again!

    I found the solution and it works perfectly now :)

    The thing is:
    After we regenerated the Thumbnail (in settings > media) we have to go to Media > Library and edit each pictures and click the button at the bottom : Regenerate Thumbnail.
    And now it’s perfect!

    Sorry for my prev message.
    Thanks again.

    Kind Regards,
    Bibahbuh

    Hi Yigit,

    Thanks for your reply.
    Great support and great Theme as well, thanks!!

    But I did what you said and it’s still not working :(

    I put in Settings > Media > Thumbnail size the height and the width I would like (H:80px; W:45px) I clicked the bottom Regenerate Thumbnail at the bottom but I have still square pictures.

    it’s still written in my HTML square pictures: img width=”45″ height=”45″:

    <span class=”label iconfont” aria-hidden=”true” data-av_icon=”” data-av_iconfont=”entypo-fontello”></span>
    <span class=”entry-info-wrap”>
    <span class=”entry-info”>
    <span class=”entry-image”>Egon-Grey</span>
    <span class=”entry-title”>Egon</span>
    </span>
    </span>

    And I don’t understand the link: src=”http://fritzwear.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Egon-Grey-80×80.jpg&#8221;, http://fritzwear.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Egon-Grey-36×36.jpg&#8230;.
    I didn’t upload in my media library these pictures with square sizes: Egon-Grey-80×80.jpg, Egon-Grey-36×36.jpg….

    I tried to write in my Editor this CSS, but still doesn’t work:
    .avia-post-nav .avia-post-next .avia-post-prev .with-image .avia-post-nav .entry-image
    {height: 80px; width: 45px; display:block;}

    Or, I tried this code, it works better now I can see the right shape of the pictures that I want but they are deformed (why/where/how the natural pictures are in a square size 45×45?):
    .avia-post-nav .entry-image img
    {border-radius: 0px; height: 80px; width: 45px; display:block;}

    The original size of my picture uploaded in my media library is Width: 400px; Height: 710px. I would like to keep the ratio. (45×80)

    And is it normal, when i clicked the button at the bottom regenerate thumbnail, this action applied to all the pictures I uploaded in the theme? Because for me, only the pictures in portfolio items are concerned (and not the pictures in the banner for example).

    Thanks again for your help,

    Kind regards,
    Bibahbuh

    When I inspect the element on the slider thumbnails, there is no alt tag.
    However, when I view the page source, there are alt tags set for the thumbnails.
    Is there javascript that is removing the alt tags once the page loads?
    Is there a way that I can prevent the alt tags from being removed?

    Hi,

    sounds like a caching issue to me. Are you using any cache plugin? if yes switch caching off and then deactivate the whole plugin, finally clear browser cache and hard refresh a few times.
    It’s also possible that you need to regenerate your thumbnails, use a plugin like this for it: https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hey bibahbuh,

    Try the following:
    1. Install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/
    2. Go to Settings > Media
    3. Change the thumbnail image size (increase its width / height).
    4. Regenerate the thumbnails by clicking the button at the bottom.

    Hi,
    I´m new at WordPress and try to build something.
    I just replaced some png by new, more compressed versions and to save some work I
    tried to replace them with the plugin “Media replace”.

    Now I have to create new thumbnails-and tried via regenerate thumbnails plugin.

    But obviously nothing happens-the files are as big as before..

    How to solve that? One idea is to download via FTP, compress and replace the pictures.
    But it would be more work than replacing the old picture by new directly…. :/

    Hi,

    Is there a Quick CSS code I can use to add a border around a video embedded in the “Video” element?

    Also, I realize this may be too advanced, but is there a way to choose which frame in the video is used as the thumbnail/preview?

    Thanks!

    #672424

    Hi,

    Alright. Please set the Preview Image Size to manual then select the thumbnail size. Play around with the settings until you find the best thumbnail size for your setup. Or upload images with the same size and aspect ratio for every posts.

    The images have the same height but the “test” image is narrower than the other images so it doesn’t have to be resize via css to maintain its aspect ratio.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Josue,

    That plugin reads the image size from the theme, so once i delete sizes, they come back after I save that settings page.
    There must be a php command that can tell wordpress “Do not generate thumbnails for directory /name/ ”

    Hey kilimats,

    It does look pretty sharp on my end on a retina display. Have you figured this one out already?
    If not, you can go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display and change image sizes and then regenerate thumbnails using this plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Hey!

    Try adding this at the very end of your theme / child theme functions.php file:

    add_filter('avf_loop_index_blog_meta', function() {
    	if(is_single()){
    		global $post;
    		$output = get_the_post_thumbnail($post->ID, 'large');
    		return $output;
    	}
    });

    Cheers!

    Hello,
    See below for link.
    We are having an issue where you can not click on the main image to move through the gallery and when there are a lot of thumbnail images, like in the link provided below, they are faded out and do not load.

    How do we set it so that users can navigate through the images from the main image? Like you hover and there are arrows to the next image and you can click through?

    Hi,

    I’m sorry but you provided a screenshot from your local machine. Please upload the image on imgur or dropbox.

    Anyway, you’re probably referring the the slide’s Slide Options > Slide image & thumbnail settings. You can upload or select an existing image there as the slide’s background.

    Hi

    1. I want to display products image size to 300×300 and i have uploded an image with the same size but the product page is displaying image bigger. I have used Regenerate Thumbnails and still the same. Went to Woocommerce setting and set product size to 300×300 and still the same.

    2. Is there a way to not display SKU and categories links?

    3.When click on category link it goes to a page (Link bellow) how to edit that page. So or i can eddit that page or i have to eliminate the link of category that shows on the product detail so i can create my own link to other page.\

    4. How to deactivate related product on product page.

    5. What would be the recommended size for Product Category Image (the one that appears as header).

    Thank you very much

    Hi,

    I do not have the Preview Image Size set to manual, it’s auto.

    Why is the portrait image (Test…) is displaying nearly 50% bigger than the landscape one (Tesco…)? The original portrait image is about half the size of the landscape image, the thumbnail Enfold is choosing is also smaller yet the image-overlay (if that’s what’s doing the resizing) is 50% taller, hence the image in the post on the left is 50% bigger than the post in the centre. In a Blog Grid like this I think the same image height should be the primary aspect so that the grid images line up in a row horizontally. Is this possible?

    Another issue came up… “Regenerate Thumbnails” will not work on images uploaded to specific folder inside “uploads”.
    Formidable put all uploaded images into /uploads/formidable/ directory.

    I don’t think that the plugin”Regenerate Thumbnails” will work on that folder if the images are not included in the media library.
    What do you think?
