Hi creativeopole,
Here is the code you can put in Enfold > General Styling > Quick Css, if it does not work, put into themes/enfold/css/custom.css
.thumbnail_container {
min-height: 291px;
}
.thumbnail_container img {
min-height: 291px;
}
If you need further assistance please let us know.

Victoria
Hi Team,
Sorry to write in again on this one.
Can not seem to figure out why my featured image single blog post is being cropped.
Original picture size is 600×600
I want the theme to expand it to content width and keep height same aspect ratio (1:1)
I have tried the regen thumbnails plugin at least a dozen times.
I have also tried to change the child theme functions.php but it seems to have no effect even after I regen thumbnails.
I have also tried the simple image resize plugin. tried to set to “no crop”. Still no luck
Tried to clear browser cache. What am I missing here? I can see the theme is still determined to put in a 600 x 423 image.
Here is the link: http://victoriamaxwell.com/wp2/depression-no-laughing-matter/

really hoping you can figure this out, I need to move on.
Thanks, Steve
Hello.
Thank you for a great theme. I have searched through the forum, but have not found a resolution for my issue. I have recently had problems with the “Featured Image” in my portfolio. The thumbnail images are not resizing to the previously consistent size as you can see in the link provided below. Instead, the images are too large and appear to be cut off. The image sizes are identical to all the previous images i have used: 1920 x 1080. I am not sure what is causing the difference in portfolio items now. My two most recent posts have this issue.
I really enjoy this theme. I hope to be able to continue its use. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
But when I publish the pages and measure the image in pixels, each one comes out to 665×545!
That is actually the size of the gallery container, 665×545px. The gallery inherited the width of the parent container, which is the 2/3 column element. The actual size of the image used for the page with the “portfolio” thumbnail selected is 495x400px.
// http://staging.remcopress.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/silver-foil-silk03-495×400.jpg
For the page with the “gallery” selected, the image size is 710×575.

Hello Team,
I am using the video media element. How do I display a preview image? How do I change the size and color of the play icon? I edited the video to add a thumbnail, didn’t help. I tried using a text box and adding a video, but the play icon does not display properly, it’s aligned to the top. Thank you for all your help.
Currently, it displays like this:

Hi Q,
1. Please install this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes/ after activation, go to Settings > Media, change the size of large or extra_large size, save then regenerate thumbnails or you can re-upload the image on the slider.
2. Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.
- Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
- Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
- Click ” Create New “.
- Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
- Click ” Submit “.
- You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.
When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

Hi, I am using 2/3 col for copy and 1/3 col with code block to display a single product [product id=”xxx’]. The product display is squashed. I have adjusted the woocommerce settings for product and thumbnail disply to 400×450 and regenerated thumbnails but still nothing changes. Please advise.
Hi,
I have tried to change the news sidebar image thumbnail size. I used the quick css:
.news-thumb {
padding: 0;
height: 63px;
width: 63px;
}
I can see the image in small size and a white square with the size I have specify in quick css.
Thanks for your help.
I would like to use the Gallery with thumbnails for a “product preview” that shows multiple color options using the thumbnails below to show options. Essentially the thumbnails would be colors of the product and would load the appropriate image. Is there a way that i can change the thumbnail image that is associated with an image? Maybe I could assign an #id to the product images somehow and control with css?
Appreciate any ideas!
Hi OKEI,
It’s the cut image that is used.
Here is more on cropping thumbnails

Thanks, that removes the image but has the effect of allowing all the columns to shift left so that they no longer appear under the correct column title.
See here: https://imgur.com/a/4DKER
Is it possible to either remove the Image column completely, so everything shifts left together (preferred option), or to insert some padding when the thumbnail is not shown so all other columns remain aligned?
Hi Ismael,
I broke it down into 5 jpgs and here are the links. Please, do not publish the draft portfolios as this is a live site. Yes, there are a lot of images as the client has a lot of portfolios. Also, Kinsta has uploaded images (that I later deleted from the WP image library – please make sure I can do the same with yours) take them as thumbnails, you can use the same draft and upload new images to the same spots.
Kinsta indicated they had to upload 13 images to replicate the frozen screen issue. I have seen it happen at 18 images (as long as you don’t save the draft and keep on working)
For the second issue (the disappearance of the ALT text – this happens on all of the Enfold installs I manage when uploading and image via the Advanced Layout Editor) it happens most of the time (e.g., 5 images will keep the ALT text you entered and one won’t then 3 images will and 2 won’t) I have gone back and manually entered the ALT text via the WP image Gallery, one by one. But once, you are done uploading images via the Portfolio’s advanced layout editor, you can check the image library and see where the ALT text is missing.
Here are the screenshots to follow to replicate the issue (I added them to my Google Drive):

I really hope this helps (this is the exact manual Kinsta followed to replicate the issue and they did)
Thank you so much!

Hi there,
I’d like to get the post slider on my homepage to display a small 80×80 thumbnail to the right of the title and read more link, instead of on top. If possible I’d also like to remove the white background, and don’t display any image (or placeholder) if no featured image is present. Is this easily done?
Thanks!
Allen
Hey OKEI,
Thank you for using Enfold.
Are you referring to the preview image on the single post page? Please add this code in the functions.php file and then regenerate the thumbnails.
add_image_size('entry_with_sidebar', 845, 321, array('center', 'top'));
add_image_size('entry_without_sidebar', 1210, 423, array('center', 'top'));
Use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/force-regenerate-thumbnails/
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi,
Thank you for the update. For the images, please use the following css code.
div.product div.images div.thumbnails:after {
content: " ";
display: table;
clear: both;
}
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi,
Thank you for the update.
Please install the following plugin then adjust the size of the “entry_with_sidebar” and “entry_without_sidebar” thumbnails. Update, save then regenerate the images.

Hi Jordan,
Thank you for your suggestion, however, Thumbnail Cropping is already on 1:1
Any other suggestion?
Baring in mind that the thumbnails on the shop page are FINE, it is the product grid on the homepage as described in my initial correspondence that is the issue. You can see it for yourself :)
Many thanks
Moss
Hey Moss,
WooCommerce made some changes regarding product images in version 3.3.0. Setting Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images > Thumbnail cropping to “1:1” should help.
Best regards,
Jordan Shannon
Hey!
I went to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product Images and changed “Thumbnail width” to 120 and set “Thumbnail cropping” to 1:1. Then i removed following custom CSS code as it was no longer necessary
.single-product div.product .woocommerce-product-gallery.woocommerce-product-gallery--columns-4 .flex-control-thumbs li:nth-child(4n+1) {
clear: both;
}
Please review your website :)

Yigit
Hi,
Thank you for the info. Unfortunately, this is not something that we can control on our end. Selecting a smaller thumbnail might help but the better solution is to optimize the images before uploading it to your instagram account. This simple guideline may help you get the best image quality and the smallest file size possible.

Hi there, I am running the latest version of woo-commerce with Enfold 4.2.2 and I am getting the following message on the product pages.
Warning: Missing argument 3 for avia_woocommerce_gallery_thumbnail_description() in /home/portcunnington/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/functions.php on line 9
Warning: Missing argument 4 for avia_woocommerce_gallery_thumbnail_description() in /home/portcunnington/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold-child/functions.php on line 9
Please advise. Thank you
Hi –
Using this thread, I’ve been able to add shortcodes to Enfold to display post title, data and author. I’m wondering if it’s possible to create a shortcode to display the post featured image. I think it involves “get_the_post_thumbnail” but can’t quite figure out the code to display in Avia.
Thanks in advance for your help
Jon
Hi all,
You might consider using a plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/.

Can I set a a thumbnail imagem 1300×650 to be shown on desktop screens and another 450×450 on smartphones?
Hi John,
It is possible to make images the same size by means of cropping them, but cropping might remove the parts of the image that users want to show. And so you get more control over images when you carefully prepare them in terms of size and quality.
Here are some articles for you

Hi,
Try adding this code to the end of your functions.php file in Appearance > Editor:
add_filter('avf_avia_builder_masonry_lightbox_img_size', 'avia_change_gallery_thumbnail_link', 10, 1);
function avia_change_gallery_thumbnail_link($size)
{
return "full";
}
Best regards,
Mike
Hi,
I had a closer look at the image quality by changing the insta-widget setting.
With the naked eye I cannot see any difference in size or quality between thumbnail, small, large or original.
Also google insights speed test always shows the same recommendation (see here).
(I always cleared the cache between test.)
So I really think that the widget always shows the same photo size and quality, independently of the settings.
Hi,
Thank you for the info.
Please try this code in the Quick CSS field.
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
/* Add your Mobile Styles here */
#top .thumbnail_container img {
min-height: 154px;
}
#top div .product_on_sale .inner_product_header {
min-height: 163px;
}
}
Best regards,
Ismael
