Hello
I am trying to do the same thing, ie, just remove the portfolio item on which the single page is displaying. I tried to modify the portfolio.php file using the code at the top of this post and it didn’t remove the item on the single page – could you please provide the code to go into the functions.php file instead, just like above here but without a reference to removing specific items (if I knew some php I could probably do it but want to make sure it’s correct). Thank you in advance.Beautiful! Worked like a charm; thanks so much, Josue!
That worked perfectly for the single post page – thank you!
Now all I need is the CSS to remove the comments, categories and author on the main blog page, please :)
Sorry, I had the links but they seemed ot have disappeared!
Here you go –

And this is the single page where I have just the date meta – I’d like to be able to hide that last separator after the date, too if CSS can easily hide that?

Thanks, Josue! :)
February 6, 2014 at 8:37 pm in reply to: HELP PLEASE! Portfolio items no longer working with latest version of Enfold #220658Awesome! You are all so wonderful! Thanks and sorry that this has been such a long process! I tried to convince them that they didn’t need CryptX but an IT guy insisted, even though they never had any encryption on their emails before! So, everything must have gone haywire when that was installed. thank you, thank you :)

Portfolio items no longer working with latest version of Enfold #220075I commented out the css that was disabling the title link and added in the new css but that unfortunately didn’t make a difference so the saga continues – still no rollover/links on that page. Also I noticed that when I sort by category it seems that some kind of iFrame is happening because I see a scrollbar that appears just under the header before the breadcrumbs. Sorry but please help me sort out this conundrum!

Portfolio items no longer working with latest version of Enfold #217660The URL is:
The whole problem started when I did an update to the latest version of theme. The site is live so I am hesitant to deactivate all of the plugins, especially since it’s a law website. The only php I have modified are footer.php to change the Kriesi link and a small script to hide image attributes, and functions.php to remove the auto update in admin (these changes were fine before).
I’d be happy to give you the admin access – actually, I’d be really happy if someone at Kriesi is available to help me and get paid – is that possible?
January 31, 2014 at 8:17 pm in reply to: HELP PLEASE! Portfolio items no longer working with latest version of Enfold #217631Also, now everywhere on the site the portfolio grid is not working, ie, none of the thumbnails are clickable at all. I have also just built a team member component and that link isn’t working either, so it’s messed up on both the portfolio grid and the team element!!!!
I tried that and got a fatal error that totally broke my theme! Yikes! It did work when I manually added the divs into the test page but where would I be able to add the class=’cleanprint-include’ to make the tabbed titles appear, please? Thanks again.

The code did change an icon but it changed the search icon, not the mobile toggle icon. Could you please tell me where the code is for the toggle? If I could just figure out what to replace ue8a5 with the equivalent for the list icon in the line, below, we’d be all set! :)
'mobile_menu' => array( 'font' =>'entypo-fontello', 'icon' => 'ue8a5'),

January 29, 2014 at 8:21 pm in reply to: Replace toggle icon with another entypo-fontello font OR use a png #216603Thanks, Peter, but when I go here to look at the char codes:
The one that is currently in Enfold is noted as this: U+E005
But in your code it’s described as this: ‘ue8a5’
I want to use the simple ‘list’ icon, noted as this: U+2630 ☰
So how did you get the ue8a5? I don’t know what to replace it with because there doesn’t seem to be any obvious connection on their char code page with your font icon id. Thanks again; sorry to be a pest :)January 27, 2014 at 9:13 pm in reply to: Replace toggle icon with another entypo-fontello font OR use a png #215504Sorry, i didn’t wrap the code in code tags –
$output .= ' <img src="http://topaz.parkhomes.ca/images/toggleIcon.png" alt="toggle icon"></p>';
January 27, 2014 at 8:42 pm in reply to: Replace toggle icon with another entypo-fontello font OR use a png #215491Mmmm, I’m a bit confused because when I inspect the element it and turn off the font-family in the styles the icon changes to a rectangle; see my screen shot here for what I am inspecting:
Also, I changed line 216 in toggles.php to this:
$output .= ‘ </p>’;
and it didn’t change the icon. Please advise; I’m also curious as to where the css is for this, please, I assume for ‘vert_icon’ and ‘hor_icon’. Thanks again! :)
January 4, 2014 at 1:02 am in reply to: Print Friendly and PDF plugin pushes sidebar below content #205213I did get a reply from PrintFriendly – they wanted to see the page with the problem (not noticing that it was in my link to this post), however, the initial comment was:
The plugin does not modify the html structure when adding the button, but happy to take a look and confirm.
I would be just as happy to use another plugin but WP-Print does not work at all with Enfold – gives an error, and Clean Print costs $. Is there one that you have found is stable with Enfold?
December 20, 2013 at 9:03 pm in reply to: Print Friendly and PDF plugin pushes sidebar below content #202700Ok, so I’ve tried it on Safari, Chrome & Firefox – the same thing is happening. I also deactivated all the plugins and no change. When I go into a portfolio item they are all using the advanced editor so I can’t see any code in the default editor, however, I did look at all the text in each text block and there are no unclosed divs, etc.
So, I did the same as you and added just the [printfriendly] shortcode into a text block on a new test page and it’s fine:
http://v2.equitablerealestate.ca/buildings/print-test/
But as soon as there is more content it breaks:
http://v2.equitablerealestate.ca/buildings/tester/
Perhaps do the same and see if it breaks for you as well? It’s a conundrum! Thanks for your ongoing support :)
December 20, 2013 at 2:14 am in reply to: Print Friendly and PDF plugin pushes sidebar below content #202355Sorry but I did place the shortcode in a text block element in the advanced editor. I have just refreshed and it’s still pushing the sidebar down on all site pages with a sidebar. Please have another look, and thank you for your help :)
December 19, 2013 at 7:37 pm in reply to: Sortable portfolio titles have disappeared above grid #202196Thanks, I have tried PrintFriendly and am having issues on post pages for portfolio items, where when it’s set to display below content it’s moving the right sidebar down as well. I did start another post on this so here is my link if you can help me with this. WP-Print simply gives an error page not found when clicked, so that one does not play well with Enfold. Thanks, Ismael.
December 19, 2013 at 3:35 am in reply to: Hide authors name and comments in posts – notes for Enfold v2.5 #201829Ah, well, since it would be much easier for Ismael to give you the css I’ll defer. With that said, best of luck with your project!
December 19, 2013 at 12:57 am in reply to: Hide authors name and comments in posts – notes for Enfold v2.5 #201771Well, that is a whole lot easier! Thanks – I may just revert back to the original loop-index.php file and pop this in the custom.css – much easier for updates! :)
December 18, 2013 at 10:36 pm in reply to: Hide authors name and comments in posts – notes for Enfold v2.5 #201713Sure! Go into your includes folder that is located in your Enfold folder (ie, unzipped Enfold.zip, which is inside the main themeforest zip file that you have downloaded). Open loop-index.php with a basic text editor, do a save as something else to be safe (and have a backup that you know works), then copy and paste what I have here:
Lines 125 – 134 (simply comments out each line) –
//if ( get_comments_number() != "0" || comments_open() ){ //echo "<span class='comment-container minor-meta'>"; //comments_popup_link( "0 ".__('Comments','avia_framework'), // "1 ".__('Comment' ,'avia_framework'), // "% ".__('Comments','avia_framework'),'comments-link', // "".__('Comments Disabled','avia_framework')); //echo "</span>"; //echo "<span class='text-sep text-sep-comment'>/</span>"; // }
Line 154 (add a space after in) –
echo '<span class="blog-categories minor-meta">'.__('in ','avia_framework')." ";
Line 156 (comment out the last text separator) –
// echo '</span><span class="text-sep text-sep-cat">/</span>';
Then save the file and FTP into the same folder, includes, on your server. If you do not know how or have FTP access then you can edit the loop-index.php file right in WP admin, but I prefer to have local back ups. Hope that helps you, DLuckyBreak! Jodi
December 18, 2013 at 7:57 pm in reply to: Sortable portfolio titles have disappeared above grid #201638Thank you, Devin. I will do this after hours since I do have a few customised files that I need to replace. Can you recommend a good print page plugin that works well with Enfold? :)
Perfect! Thanks so much – that worked; thanks, also for the super prompt reply! :)
