Now that I like the format…of course, I have another couple of questions….
Is it possible to (a) link to the person’s bio page instead of the lightbox and (b) to have a fade effect on the image when selected?
Thanks for being so patient with these questions!

August 13, 2015 at 7:36 pm in reply to: Sidebar: Widget Text Position and Width and Portfolio Widget Format #487383Hi Josue,
I have re-thought the portfolio in the sidebar to a less complex solution. I can put a gallery shortcode (copied from the default editor) in the sidebar widget and get the layout I prefer. I do have two questions, though, about the formatting. The default is a white border around the gallery image. I was able to remove it for the main content area in the CSS with
}
.avia-gallery img {
border-width: 0 !important;
}I was not able to remove the white border from the thumbnail in the sidebar widget. I tried this, but it did not work
}
.avia-gallery-thumb {
border-width: 0 !important;
}The link to the test page showing the issue is in the private content area..
How would I remove the border in the thumbnail? I also would like to reduce the space between images. Is that coded in the padding?
Thanks so much for your help!

Thank you for these fixes. I am using a child theme; is there a way to do this in custom css?

August 12, 2015 at 2:55 am in reply to: Sidebar: Widget Text Position and Width and Portfolio Widget Format #486267Of the above issues, I found the answer to the widget/sidebar width issue; I changed the ration between sidebar and main content.
Thanks, Rickard, for the info re the color section. Now I know how to format the page.
I am having this problem as well. When I create columns with the layout elements, the sidebar is positioned below the main content. Resetting the content to sidebar ratio does not fix this issue. When I create columns using the grid row tool in the layout elements, the sidebar does not appear at all. I am sure that the Enfold support folks will have a fix for this!
Thank you, Rikard!
No need to respond to this thread. I figured it out. The answer is to create a template of the page. Thanks for such a flexible theme!
Yes, thank you very much! And for such a quick response. Cheers!
Perfect! Thanks, Yigit.
Hi Ismael,
This worked perfectly. Thanks! It changes the color all of the text, including links. Is it possible to make the links a different color?
Valerie
Thanks a bunch, Ismael!
Hi Josue,
Thanks so much for being willing to look into this for me, which isn’t necessary now. I found the problem: an activated sidebar widget that I needed in Avisio to get custom sidebars that I didn’t need — and conflicted with — Enfold.
Happy Spring!

HI there!
Apparently this is conflicting code somewhere, and I cannot tell whether this is a theme issue or a WordPress issue. In the WordPress widgets section, I have removed the inactive widgets and sidebars and created new sidebar with widgets. On the page, I have selected the new sidebar. However, the new sidebar does not show up in the list of sidebars in the Quick Edit section for the page, which shows only the sidebars created in Avisio.
Can you help?
Thank you! Worked perfectly.
It looks like the link to the page didn’t come through…
Hello! I’ve been able to resolve this issue. I had to completely delete the menu I had used in Avisio for the “fallback” menu to go away.
OY! I must have not unchecked the private box. Apologies! For now I am not going to worry about this. I have to get the site finished soon and have other priorities. Will get back in touch if necessary. Thanks for all the great support!
Hi Devin,
Sorry about that…forgot to remove “private” while I’m working on the page. Please try again: http://talentdev.valiantlane.com/what-clients-say. On this page I am experimenting with how to display testimonials. At top of page I inserted the theme code for them. Below that are categorized with links in a widget to take people to the top of that category. Instead of going to just before the category so the category title shows, most of the links go to just below it.
The goal is to make the testimonials searchable…as I am typing I’m thinking maybe what I should do is put them in a portfolio page? what do you think is best approach?
V.
Ismael…thought that might be the case! :-)
Also, I could not get <br> or to hold when saving text block so I had to use <hr /> to get more space between testimonials.
Thanks, Josue!
Thanks, Josue! Perfect!
By any chance do you know how to change the image associated with our forum profile? I would like to put my picture where the leaf is and haven’t found where to do that.
Thanks for the fix! Also, to which elements does the alternate content formatting apply?
Ooops! Forgot the webpage: http://talentdev.valiantlane.com/about
Hi Devin,
Yes, I looked at the view all tab. Only about 4 of the 10 or so pages showing in that window.

Hey there,
Found the issue: previously working plug-in went rogue.
Hi Ismael,
I am using Arial, which should display well in Safari. I found the solution: in Safari in preferences under appearance, I found a setting for font smoothing. When I changed it to “Medium – best for Flat Panel” that took care of the issue.
An FYI for all of us!
Thanks for your great help in customizing my site.
Valerie.
