Hey Victoria,
I have some JS experience from 15 years ago so I might be able to do it, any chance for some references to begin with?
thanks a lot in advance

August 27, 2020 at 6:13 pm in reply to: Layerslider Video Background via Youtube – Logo/user appear #1241287Hey Ismael
Yes I am using that layer and I used every option under there to try to remove it..
For youtube I can still see my user and user photo + YouTube logo
For Vimeo I see everything- controls, logo, user
Thanks
Elad
August 23, 2020 at 3:26 pm in reply to: Layerslider Video Background via Youtube – Logo/user appear #1240097Update:
White frame on Youtube was fixed, I just created a new slider.
But still needing help about the controls/username/buttons showing. I tried via embed settings but no change..(right now as I said before I linked the Layerslider back to a file sitting on my actual server to avoid problems but I prefer to have it via youtube)
Another Update:
Switching to Vimeo for another test (current look) I am getting the Vimeo controls and audio-icon showing up…isn’t there a way of hiding them as well?
thanks
Elad.
thanks

Hey Ismael,
it works now!
thanks again
Elad.
Hey Isamel,
I am not sure I understand where exactly to insert this code.
Is this within the Layerslider interface? or as an HTML code within the page itself?
And I need it to be fullscreen (full width)
The video is already in my media library it’s just showing as white.
thanks
Elad.
Hey Ismael,
I tried that as well, but it won’t work.
As you can see the video file works as a direct link : https://byroni.co.il/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Roni-16-9-halfsize_380.mp4
and the Layerslider settings seem correct: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7l251jqrwjl93ee/Screenshot%202020-08-10%2009.40.17.png?dl=0
When I try to browse either via desktop or mobile I’m getting a white slide: https://www.dropbox.com/s/cxd3ewo425twqq2/Screenshot%202020-08-10%2009.43.08.png?dl=0
One video that does play correctly is the one using the ColorSection, but that won’t show on mobile correctly.
Why doesn’t the Layerslider work?
thanks
Elad.
Hey Ismael,
that’s not very ideal..I know many websites which use a video background in the homepage,
the video is compressed to 2.5mb or so – it shouldn’t be a problem on mobiles. Is there maybe another way of making it happen? it does work from time to time on mobiles but mostly it won’t play.
thanks
Elad.
Hey Ismael
I tried doing it with the Layer Slider but the result didn’t work so well. I kept seeing the Youtube logo if using Youtube,
and if using the link of the video file: https://byroni.co.il/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/Roni-16-9-halfsize_380.mp4
Then It was just not playing or not showing at the current resolution. Now, even the previous method I used via the ColorSection Video Background doesn’t work on Desktops, I’m getting this result:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/hex4d7dbck5w7h1/Screenshot%202020-08-03%2009.53.44.png?dl=0With the Video Element, It won’t show full screen (from side to side) and also won’t Autoplay even though I marked Autoplay ON
I am not sure why is it not running smoothly every time.
Thanks in advance,
thanks!Elad.

Hello again
I have replaced the video with another version that is 22:9, so the overlap is gone, but the mobile functionality still isn’t working properly.
The video won’t play on a mobile and I just see a freeze frame.
thanks
Elad.
Hey Ismael
Yes this video, but the overlap is not what I’m talking about. The overlap is something I did on purpose at the moment to align the chosen part of the video better.
See my screenshot
and note how the video is playing in the back of the Instagram section, instead of staying in its own color section like how it works on the desktop:Additionally, sometimes there would appear a 16:9 empty video placeholder without the actual video inside and then I have to refresh the page.
Hey Vicrotia
thank you so much!
have a great weekend
Elad.
Hey Victoria
this is the store page with the product grid element.
I just asked if it’s possible via CSS or something to add some hover FX when you put your mouse on the item.
just like what happens here: https://byroni.co.il/product/%d7%91%d7%92%d7%93-%d7%94%d7%99%d7%9d-%d7%a9%d7%9c-%d7%a8%d7%95%d7%a0%d7%99-%d7%9b%d7%97%d7%95%d7%9c/
but different…
for example a zoom-in effect or some color overlay.thanks in advance!
Elad.
Hey Rikard
that works on my end now as well! thank you very much for your help.
best
Elad.
Dear Rikard
thank you for the code, but it doesn’t change the look of the menu when I put it in the quick CSS.
I will add a user for you for the back end maybe that will help you test it out quicker ? if you’re interested.
thanks again
Elad.
Hey Rikard
I added the code but the design stayed the same, which is : cart icon – space – menu icon – logo – space
should be something like : cart icon(left aligned) – logo – menu icon (right aligned)Just like the left-to-right way
Hey Rikard
No problem at all.
What do you mean the actual elements? The website itself?
the address is http://www.byroni.co.ilthank you
Elad.
you can close this, it worked perfectly.
Thank you so much Victoria!
Thank you very much Ismael – really appraciate your attention to detail and thank you for the resolution stats!
Hey Ismael,
Thank you so much for the effort – I know it’s already getting further away from your support range, and I appraciate the help.
However for now I see that the display is still wrong, at least on my system. For example on the main page, on the normal ratio monitor- the image is stretched, the TV tower for example looks funny:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/tyh81vy6ylsbcgg/example1.1.jpg?dl=0Same for the extra wide monitor- stretched image and the hot-air balloons don’t appear correctly:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/xx88r9cprwgfd8l/example2.jpg?dl=0Then for the “Leistungen” page, the elements are way off – https://www.dropbox.com/s/eqtx8x0q8brazzk/example1.jpg?dl=0
I am afraid that in this way we are just complicating things and maybe better to revert the changes and hope most of my clients don’t have an extra wide monitor :):)
Thanks again in advance and have a lovely day,
Elad.Hello Rikard,
Thank you for your answer. Here is the website: http://reggae-in-berlin.net/
At the moment I assume there is no ID in the posts, that’s basically my question, where do I add one?
Thanks again,
Elad. Moreover, check out the differences in the actual image crop that you see….
totally different area and zoom..it looks much better on the original and not with the CSS that limits the 1920..side by side comparison: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bggsmbz0y9qvqao/compare.jpg?dl=0
by the way, sorry for the long procedure, I appreciate you help and thanks in advance ! :)

Hello Ismael
That does not look correct….check out the location of the text on the slider…
originally – leftin your version : right
should look like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ti2y6n8g4cw72js/monitor-normal.jpg?dl=0This reply has been marked as private.Hey Ismael,
I used both codes. The result is as I attached in my last msg…the frame is indeed limited to 1920px,
but the slider doesn’t show the content correctly…as you can see before.normal ratio res: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ti2y6n8g4cw72js/monitor-normal.jpg?dl=0
extra wide res: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8to8lhkz2knqcx7/monitor-extrawide.jpg?dl=0(both examples are with both codes)
Thanks,
Elad.Hello Victoria, how are you?
No problem at all:
// Use private field
I tried the code you offered before on other websites I have running Enfold and the result is the same..
The images in the slider get stretched in extra-wide monitors and the code won’t keep the ratio the same way.thank you Victoria,
Have a lovely day,
Elad.Hello again,
sorry for the delay.Sadly this solution doesn’t work properly.
Check out the differences between the look of the slider in a normal monitor, and with these CSS changes applied in an extra wide monitor:
normal ratio res: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ti2y6n8g4cw72js/monitor-normal.jpg?dl=0
extra wide res: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8to8lhkz2knqcx7/monitor-extrawide.jpg?dl=0Thanks again,
Elad.Hello Ismael,
Thank you for your answer.
When I use this code, the sides of the page seem gray, how can I change that?
https://www.dropbox.com/s/s0nr3se0p4eepn0/Screenshot%202018-05-02%2010.46.57.png?dl=0Thanks again,
Elad.Wow such a massive request overall for every simple website, I’m sure 50%+ of Germany’s websites don’t even know what that is :D
but thank you so much for letting me know.
I’ll add the Datenschutz section.I bet some lawyers just look for websites without it and get easy money..
