March 17, 2017 at 7:06 pm in reply to: Mobile columns not stacking properly on some pages after update #762655
I’m seeing this on my iphone
http://insightpd.staging.wpengine.com/wp-content/uploads/image1.png (hosted on WPengine)This is on this page: http://insightpd.staging.wpengine.com/expertise/medical-device-design-and-diagnostics/
But it was showing up on other pages until I rebuilt them. This page in particular http://insightpd.staging.wpengine.com/design-research/
had issues with the footer, as well as the 4 column grid in the gray boy just squishing together instead of stacking. Now it’s obviously fine, but I can make a change, save it, and it messes it up again. I don’t want to do it bc I’m short on time and don’t want to rebuild it.If you don’t see anything wrong, then I feel like it means it’s buggy.. I’m hoping to move forward with my edits and a launch as soon as possible, but am scared to edit for fear of it breaking again, so I’d really like to feel more confident before doing so.
March 17, 2017 at 6:48 pm in reply to: Mobile columns not stacking properly on some pages after update #762645Correct. The footer is off. Oddly, less off than yesterday?! But still not stacking properly. Why is that?
It’s buggy and that’s my problem. I can make a change on this or the other page I was having issues with, and all of the sudden, the stacking is way off again.
a) Why would the stacking be wrong (but different from yesterday??)
and
b) why would changing or adding new modules or even just editing content cause the stacking on a grid module or my footer to break when it was fine just before? Can you see anything in the code that might cause that? I’ve gone through and made sure all divs were closed, etc.. I can’t find anything.
Thanks.

March 16, 2017 at 11:37 pm in reply to: Mobile columns not stacking properly on some pages after update #762273Hi-
Any luck?March 14, 2017 at 8:07 pm in reply to: Mobile columns not stacking properly on some pages after update #760947UPDATE: NOT FIXED.
I just made one edit, and it broke the footer again. This is SUPER buggy. I added a slider to try to fix my broken mobile testimonials, and the footer no longer stacks. I deleted it, saved, and the footer is still broken. PLEASE help. I can’t afford to rebuild the page from scratch every edit.March 14, 2017 at 7:50 pm in reply to: Mobile columns not stacking properly on some pages after update #760941Well I ended up just rebuilding those pages from scratch. Not ideal, but it seemed to fix it. Thanks.
March 14, 2017 at 5:38 pm in reply to: Mobile columns not stacking properly on some pages after update #760877OK it appears it’s not update related.. Also, if this helps..
The ‘grid’ module and footer are not stacking properly on this page: http://insightpd.staging.wpengine.com/design-research/ (hosted on WPengine)
But this page has almost the exact layout and is working fine. http://insightpd.staging.wpengine.com/human-factors-and-usability/
I’ve gone through the code to look for an open div or something, but see nothing. It seems totally random and/or inconsistent. Can you please lake a look? Hope this helps. Thanks!
March 14, 2017 at 4:53 pm in reply to: Mobile columns not stacking properly on some pages after update #760845Not helping. Again, it’s only happening on some pages.
Also, you didn’t address the grid that’s having the same issues on this page:
Grid columns and Footer : http://insightpd.staging.wpengine.com/design-research/ (hosted on WPengine) (
The 4 width grid module as well as the footer are just being squeezed.I’m wondering if there’s a module that’s breaking it? Were you able to log in and look at the code?
February 6, 2017 at 11:05 pm in reply to: Sortable portfolio with lightbox that only displays selected category #743629PS- Using “Masonry” and pulling from ‘portfolio entries’ for the masonry content.
When you click on the image, I’ve manually added the link in the portfolio entry so it opens in a lightbox instead of it’s own page. I’m open to do it a different way.Goal- to be able to scroll via lightbox images ONLY in selected category.
It could be something like this example: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/portfolio/portfolio-ajax/ but I want images in a lightbox instead of opening the ajax box. Thanks!

October 26, 2016 at 11:07 pm in reply to: advanced layout for blog posts breaking archive category page layout #704566Hello? It’s been 3 days. Can you please tell me if someone is looking into this?
I’ve purchased 4 themes form you guys and would really appreciate some help.October 24, 2016 at 3:28 pm in reply to: advanced layout for blog posts breaking archive category page layout #703306I did not modify the archive layout template. My archive pages are broken because I used the advanced layout option on the blog post.
When that blog post is pulled into and displayed on the archive page, it breaks they layout. Is there a number I can call to talk to someone? I don’t think I’m explaining this correctly as I don’t know how to make it any clearer.
Also, the login does work, I just used it. Are you using the correct link I set? I need you to use my dev site, not my live site.
http://insightpd.staging.wpengine.com/wp-admin/ (hosted on WPengine)
Same login credentials as above. Please help. It looks really bad. This is not something I did custom. I’m using your default setup and it’s not working correctly.
As explained above, having my archive/category page display my blog posts like the blog landing page does would be an OK fix.
October 20, 2016 at 3:48 pm in reply to: advanced layout for blog posts breaking archive category page layout #701938Hmm. I’m not sure how to make it any clearer than the original post. The category (or archive) page is a list of all blog posts tagged with that category, correct? Some of my blog posts are using the advanced layout. When you select a category page and the blog posts are pulled and displayed, anytime there’s a blog post containing an advanced layout, it breaks the page and spans 100% and pushes my right column, which contains the categories, down to the bottom.
Essentially, I’d love it if the category pages could act like the blog landing page. Is there a way to do that? So it’s just pulling the page title and except with no images, etc? Hopefully that could be an easy fix. I’m using a child theme. I just need to ensure that the category is still highlighted when they’re on that page.
I’m including three screen shots to show what I’m talking about.
1. My blog landing page
2. A category page that does not include a blog post with an advanced layout
3. A category page that does include a blog post with an advanced layoutHow would I get the category pages to look like screen shot 1?
October 19, 2016 at 6:20 pm in reply to: advanced layout for blog posts breaking archive category page layout #701460I deactivated all of the plugins and nothing helped. I’ve tried variations of the layout, and it’s definitely the ‘color section’ option that’s breaking it. Unfortunately, that’s the main function I need for these landing pages that need to live in our blog section.
I’m now testing on our dev site. Your login info still works, but please use this url to log in.
http://insightpd.staging.wpengine.com/wp-admin/ (hosted on WPengine)It’s an exact mirror of our live site. I didn’t want to test things out on the live one..
I’d really love to get this sorted as we have decent traffic to those pages and it’s a bad user experience right now.

This appears to be an option for only one image to open in a lightbox, correct? I want all the images in the category to scroll in the lightbox, not just one. Right now every image in the portfolio scrolls. I’d like to sort by a particular category, then when an image is clicked, only the images in that category cycle through. Does this work for that as well?
Hi was this ever resolved? I’m having the same issue. I’m actually using masonry to sort, but it’s doing the same thing. When you select a category and launch the lightbox, other categories start showing up.
February 4, 2016 at 4:58 pm in reply to: Alt titles for images not appearing in html when used as bg in color section #577856I did. All images have alt tags via the media library, but my MOZ SEO crawls are telling me all images that are used as background have no alt tag. When I look at the source code of the live page, it’s only pulling the url of the image as the source. I’m guessing there’s no way around this? Is there a way to have the image in a section, with text over it that’s not part of the background, but still have the text on top? Probably not, as far as I can tell…

November 24, 2015 at 6:35 pm in reply to: How to hide certain submenu items from mobile nav, but not all #541854Thank you! I searched the forum, but did not find that listing. Sorry about that.
November 24, 2015 at 6:12 pm in reply to: How to hide certain submenu items from mobile nav, but not all #541838I actually have two sites set up. One is our live site, the other is a dev site. The dev site is hidden behind a firewall, so I’m unable to show you what I’m working on. I don’ t want to mess with our live main navigation until I get this figured out.
I can send you a close example and some screen shots though.
Here is our live site.
http://www.insightpd.com/I want to add a new button on the main navigation called work, like I’ve done on the dev site. Under work I’m adding all of our portfolio pages so the menu button “Work” is highlighted whilst on a portfolio page.
http://www.insightpd.com/wp-content/uploads/exampleA.pngBy default, sub menus don’t show on desktop, but I don’t want the menu items under work to ever show. I’ve only added one here for an example. I DO want all of the other sub menus to show though.
http://www.insightpd.com/wp-content/uploads/exampleB.pngDoes this make sense/
Thanks!
April 20, 2015 at 11:55 pm in reply to: rollover large white line only appearing on a certain button in main nav. #431668OK I think I have it.. ever since I’ve updated, it’s been super buggy. Specifically, in this instance, when I added the new menu items in the navigation, it saved it as a mega menu automatically. I changed it, saved it, but it was still acting like a mega menu.
I had to completely delete it and save it twice for it to stick?
Please let me know if there’s something I need to fix/update, but I think I’m recent.
Thanks again!
February 27, 2015 at 7:19 pm in reply to: Blog post > Custom preview image size only displaying 100% despite diff settings #403610I’ve tried all of the options and had the same results. So am I misunderstanding the drop down options offered as part of the blog feature? If nothing happens when you change the preview images size, why is it an option?
The css workaround is ok, but I’m just trying to understand if I’m doing something wrong…
Thanks!
OK so it seems I can use the masonry on posts, but not portfolio items.
Portfolio items offers the custom url field so it will open in a lightbox, but does not offer category based sorting features.
Posts offer sorting features but no custom url field.
I could use the full width portfolio grid option, but I love how the large gap looks with the masonry. is there a way to mimic that? and to have it expand to the width of the page rather than having to pick the number of columns? the look of the gap is the biggest thing. i can deal with the columns.
i tried this but it didn’t work:
#top .grid-entry.no_margin.av_one_third {
width: 33.3%;
padding: 10px;
}thanks!!
I know I can order them, but I’m hoping to sort them somehow so the user can choose a category, by tags or whatever method would be best.
It will be for a food stylist’s portfolio of images and videos, so i’ll need to organizes the images. for example- all, packaging, editorial, covers, etc..
i’d like to use the masonry style, but again, i don’t need images to go to a page, just to open in a lightbox. there might be video as well, which i’d also like to open in a lightbox.
is this possible?
As usually, your suggestion worked perfectly. Thanks!
works great, thanks! is there a way to have it appear last on mobil rather than hiding it completely?
I have that unchecked. As I stated above, I can not use the sidebar for the design, as I need some of the main content to be full width and more flexibility with my layout in general.
I’d be ok with the left column showing up under the main content, but I can’t switched the oder of the the columns. I need the submenu (via a widget, not a sidebar) to be on the left and the content on the right.
Is this possible? Thank you!
Or, if possible, to have it appear below the content. I know switching the menu to the right side would fix that, but the client wants it on the left. I just want to make sure the content is what you see first on mobile, and not the option to navigate away.
thanks!
I see the caption through the regular insert image actually does exactly what I want it to do. So please disregard this.
Thanks!
