Well, you can try to enable the WooCommerce gallery with its zoom, you can do it in the theme options > shop options

Yes, they are not links, this is just a gallery, they are not supposed to be links. You will need to choose a different element like a post slider, where you can show portfolio items in a slider.

Yes, the file has moved in the theme, but the theme update was unable to delete it in the old location.
