The shop menu is not there because you probably don’t have WooCommerce installed. The shop page is created with WooCommerce. If you plan to have a store you might want to install WooCommerce.

The Discussion settings are available here under Settings > Discussion in the WordPress Dashboard:

Where do you want tags to show up?

If that if not sufficient, you might want to look for a plugin for more control over discussion settings.

Hi Nick!

That is a valid concern and so you will need to keep an eye on that file and every time there is a theme update, you’ll need to copy the fresh copy of the loop-index.php file and make your changes there.
