The issue might be gone once you transfer to php5.6, though php7 is highly recommended!

I’ve seen cases like that, sometimes during update the file copying process fails or gets interrupted for various reasons and the outcome is that some files go missing.

We don’t have an answer to that question, but I would suggest using a child theme to not loose this modification.

We don’t have an ETA, unfortunately. I know it’s not ideal, but you could use tab names with several words as one, using CamelCase. That way, your users will be able to access the information that they need.

You have the styles for that exact element on the page with the !important and it does not get overridden.
