The thumbs are set to be cut at 80px and so they do not look good,

The countdown element knows nothing about the events, it can be set manually. It might be automated, but this kind of customization is out of the scope of our support unfortunately.

As for the colors and sizes, please be more specific on the changes that you would like to make. Could you please attach a mockup of what you’re trying to achieve?

If you tried to update the theme, the update did not overwrite the all the files properly. Or you have files in your child theme that you need to merge with a fresh copy.
