Having all these issues as well. Now it’s stuck on the “You need to specify an instagram username”. I updated the theme, checked PHP version on hosting, removed and re-added the widget, and all the other suggestions mentioned in various threads.
Damn sorry for another update. Solution above does not work in IE8. Still trying to find a way :(
Ok, I figured this out from a tip I found on a forum. To get the same effect across all browsers, I used this code in the style:
/* Fallback for web browsers that doesn’t support RGBa */
background: rgb(0, 0, 0) transparent;
/* RGBa with 0.6 opacity */
background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.3);
/* For IE 5.5 – 7*/
/* For IE 8*/
-ms-filter: “progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.gradient(startColorstr=#99000000, endColorstr=#99000000)”;
Comparing the CSS, I must have added the background box behind the featured text myself using a GIF. I just added it as a background to featured_text. The effect seems to work fine in every browser but IE. How can I achieve the same effect in IE?
An update, this did nothing to fix the problem in IE9 or IE8. Can you give me any other suggestions? I urgently need to get this fixed.
hmm I tried removing the line as suggested but it doesn’t seem to be having an effect. Go to this page here: http://sideeffectsdesign.com/wordpress/ . The first slide does not link to the post. The second and third do though.

Ok, one more update. It seems the error might have been occurring because I didn’t have an option selected in “Twicet Mainpage Content
Bottom Area”. I didn’t realize it had been unselected. As soon as I picked a selection, the issues with the front page went away.March 7, 2011 at 2:37 pm in reply to: Major front/main page issue (related to portfolio) – urgent help needed #41674
Nope, front page is still a mess. There are Portfolio links all over it for some reason.
