Hi Mike,
Thanks, that seems to work OK. But when I resize the screen manually, the responsiveness of the elements still get messed up. I don’t imagine it’s an issue many of my site visitors experience, though, so I don’t think it’s a major issue.
Thanks,
BrockHi Victoria.
It’s happening on screen widths under 767px and only on Chrome. Firefox and Edge seem to do just fine, as well as Android and iOS as far as I can tell.
I know it isn’t a common screen size, but I just don’t know why it isn’t going down to one column in Chrome.
Thanks,

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Sadly it didn’t. I was still getting the gaps on both Chrome and Firefox. But I did add this to the first code:
@media only screen and (min-width:999px) { #av-layout-grid-1 .no_margin.av_one_third { width: 33.4% !important; }}
That seems to work for the gap issue at all widths in Firefox and Chrome. However, in Chrome and at smaller screens, I get this happening:
Any idea why that’s happening? It’s only in Chrome on a computer screen. It’s behaving perfectly on Android and iOS.

I cleared the Cloudflare cache. Try it now.
OK, it should all be deactivated now and ready for you.

Sadly, the first code you gave then gets overridden by the original code.
Thanks, but it didn’t work. It cancels out the other one.
Wait, sorry, just checked one thing. The !important addition overrides the mobile responsiveness. At smaller screens it’s still 33.4%. What do I need to add to CSS to fix that?
Thanks!
That did it for me! Thanks, Jordan!
The vertical lines between the orange and gray backgrounds of each grid row column. From CSS it seems there’s simply a gap, and the white lines are showing the background of the grid row element. Don’t know why there’s a 1-2px gap between the columns. And it’s only when the column is linked.

I am having the exact same issue on the homepage of my site…
It’s the “Timelines/Church Lingo/FAQ” grid row. Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!

OK, thanks!
Also weird: Enabling the new CSS file merging and compression messes with the styling of the iconbox headers.
Hi Basilis,
Thanks for reviewing it.
I already deleted the enfold folder yesterday and uploaded a new one before I checked the site. Do you want me to do it again?
Thanks,
BrockI’ve done some custom CSS to fix the issue temporarily, but it looks as though there’s an issue with Enfold’s styling and positioning the icon of the iconbox.
I think something is messed up with the updated Enfold default stylesheet for iconbox.
Ok, I figured it out and I feel stupid. It was the ad-blocker extension in Chrome that was detecting it as an ad and not allowing it to appear. Mark it as closed.
Thanks,
BrockDon’t know why, but it constantly puts up a “display: none !important” style on the image, even when I delete it.
Here’s the page where I’m having issues. It should be appearing under the “Infographics” section.
http://www.understandchristianity.com/beyond-the-basics/baptism/
If you check the code, the picture is there and it looks fine, but it just won’t appear. It doesn’t show in the back end either.
OK, thanks for trying!
I removed each one individually and tested it….and the problem was still there. I removed all but three of them and tested it….and the problem was there. I also removed all of them at once and tested it…..and the problem was still there.
Any other thoughts?
Here are some screenshots showing the issue:
This one (from http://www.understandchristianity.com/bible-notes/genesis/genesis-2/) shows where it is working. Notice the superscript “2” showing up and the plugin-auto-generated “References” section: http://imgur.com/UeEQRJc . The social share section on this page was enfold-auto-generated via the blog post template.
This one (from http://www.understandchristianity.com/bible/joshua/) shows the plugin shortcode “[note]……[/note]” where the plugin-generated superscript number and hover-over reference should be: http://imgur.com/p4QxvzF . This only happens on pages that include a social share section that I have added via the Advanced Layout Editor.
This (also from http://www.understandchristianity.com/bible/joshua/) shows that there is no “References” section: http://imgur.com/PvNZVa5 . It should be auto-generated by the plugin at the bottom of the content, but something with the social share section is interfering. When I remove the social share buttons in the Advanced Layout Editor, the footnotes work perfectly.
The issue is with the social share buttons element. When it is generated via the blog post template php file, everything with the footnotes is OK. When the social share buttons element is added via an Advanced Layout Editor element, it interferes with the plugin.
Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!
Ok, here you go:
Here’s an example of a page with a social share section without any attempted footnotes: http://www.understandchristianity.com/bible/deuteronomy/ .
Here’s an example of the issue I’m having: http://www.understandchristianity.com/bible/joshua/ . Notice the “[note]” shortcode shows up when there should be a footnote generated by the plugin. Also notice that no reference section displays at the bottom.
And here’s an example where it’s actually working for some reason (I don’t know why): http://www.understandchristianity.com/bible-notes/genesis/genesis-2/ . The social share section and the footnotes plugin are working seamlessly. One thing that’s different from the others for this page is that this page is generated by a wiki plugin that I’m pretty sure uses a blog page template instead of a page template, so the social share section is auto-generated and not part of the advanced layout section that I created.
Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks!
Here’s a link to a page that has the footnotes: http://www.understandchristianity.com/bible/joshua/ . I have deleted the social share section from that page. If you want me to try to put it back in, let me know.
Thanks!
Ok, I understand. Thanks!
Not sure what customizations you were talking about since the homepage is all made up of normal Enfold elements, but in any case everything seems to be working fine now after the latest WordPress update.
Thanks,
BrockChrome on iPad:
Safari on iPad (which is usually a little less load time):
I also checked it on another iPad (a mini) and it did the same thing. It’s also done it in three completely different locations with completely different wifi routers, connection speeds, etc. (Not that that is a big deal, but just FYI.)
Thanks!
