OMG. I just read the link that you sent: https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-changes
It specifies that only videos with sound will be prevented from autoplay on Chrome. My videos did not have sound so after clicking on “mute video” in the video options on the theme it then allowed the video to autoplay on chrome! Gosh. That was pretty easy after all. Not a bug with Enfold after all – just a chrome thing.
Thanks for the great theme – I still have hope!I will start a new ticket now. thanks for your response Ismael!
Just checking: Do I need to start a new topic to get support on this issue? Chrome does not autoplay self-hosted videos in the newest version of Enfold (4.3.2)
I have contributed to 8 purchases of Enfold over the past couple years and have loved this customizable theme but this is getting a little rough with the constant video issues lately…please help.I have installed 4.3.2 in hopes this video issue would be resolved. It works now in safari and firefox but not chrome (which is the browser that my client uses of course) Can you help?
My sites that have this issue are in the private content below. Both are still under active support.
I HAD TO MAKE Guenni007’S CSS hack to make the enfold update work for full screen videos to work. Whats going on there at Kriesi? I always thought this was a safe theme/company but I am having to work extra just to keep up with this.
February 6, 2018 at 5:55 pm in reply to: New WordPress 4.9.3. today – any impact on Enfold Safari full screen video bug? #908701No WP 4.9.3 does not fix this. This kind of thing is very damaging to those of us who make a living from WP sites and makes me hesitant to use Enfold again in the future. I have several cllents’ sites running this theme…
I have 3 seperate sites running Enfold. Each one of them has become stuck in Maintenance mode when trying to update via the update theme option on the WP dashboard. So this is not an issue for just one site. It is also not a server issue as 2 sites are with one host and the other is on a different host also. There is something wrong with the update…
Good news, however, is that I can update via FTP just fine so I am moving on.- This reply was modified 6 years, 10 months ago by turemovich.
They are not working in Firefox or Chrome either after latest WordPress update…Would love a fix for this asap please.
This reply has been marked as private.yeah, i have cleared cache and hard refreshed but still the video does not render after resizing the window. Please test this thoroughly.
This latest CSS does fix the resizing vertically but NOT horizontally. It is still buggy. Any more CSS I can throw its way to resolve this?! This has been a serious issue for a while now.

How long until the next release? I was just about to purchase this theme again (for the 7th or 8th time) for an upcoming site that I will be working on – but this could complicate things with my clients. -
