I thought I had played with all the options but I see that I missed one. Thank you Rikard, that has worked! You guys are the best.

AFAIK (as far as I know) it’s the latter of your two stated options- manually changing the hexadecimal codes. That’s of course assuming you want it custom, otherwise just select a predefined color scheme (which there are many). Either way, you’ll want to click “Enfold” in your dashboard, then go to “General Styling” and there you’ll find myriad options for doing whatever you want with all the colors.
I doubt you can save a scheme to be used on other sites, but I could be wrong. It doesn’t really take that long to make changes once you’ve decided on your colors (deciding what you want is what takes time, not the actual execution of the color scheme) so it’s nothing to worry about.
Not sure if this is the “great tip” you were hoping for, but hopefully is helpful all the same.
Hey Pas- you can make your own icons (with, say, something like adobe illustrator) then upload them onto Enfold by using fontello.com. It’s pretty simple, didn’t take me much time to figure out even as a novice.
To your second question, you can just use a small photo to achieve an icon-like effect. I have used small black & white pngs in the past for this and it looks sharp. If you need it really tiny though, use the fontello option.
EDIT: Okay guys, I think I have it figured out- sorry for the false alarm. My mistake. I realized there was indeed a plugin on the slow site that wasn’t on the other one, disabled it, and voila- problem solved.
The offending plugin is called BackupBuddy, in case anyone else has this same issue with their site.
Thanks for the great theme, team, and carry on!
October 9, 2015 at 11:24 pm in reply to: Woocommerce change shopping cart icon to different icon #516698zOrg, good question and I’m now subscribed to this thread, but it might be helpful to you to know that you can make your own icons in adobe illustrator or whatever then upload them to fontello.com, then in turn use them in Enfold. So you could easily make your own shopping bag icon, then once you get the answer to this thread, attach that icon to your cart. Hopefully this at least half-helps.
As an alternative, I’ve had success using this very user-friendly plugin, I love it:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/404page/Oh my goodness, well don’t I feel silly. You are right! Thank you guys so much, this theme and support totally rocks. Kriesi for life! : )
Hey Elliot! Thanks for the swift reply. I think perhaps I wasn’t explaining myself very well… the issue is that when I go to create a new product in ALB, the product purchase button does not appear on the published product page. However the button does appear within the layout builder.
It’s not that the button itself, when there, doesn’t function- it does. But the button doesn’t appear when creating a new product.
I’ve tried different browsers, incognito browsers, etc, that doesn’t seem to be the issue- the button really isn’t there. For instance on this product: http://skinandbonefetishtoys.com/product/dreamcharm/ you’ll notice there’s no button- however there IS a button on the ALB for that product.
I must be missing something??!
Thanks again!
Hey eamanzotti,
In addition to begrafiks excellent link, as a fellow novice like yourself I’ll add (also assuming I’m not misunderstanding you) that you can add pages that don’t appear on the main menu or mega menu if you so desire. It’s very easy. Just go to “Pages” on the left side in your dashboard and select “Add New”. You can then design your page and by default it won’t appear in any menu. You can then link to the course page from elsewhere on the site with a link, a button, or whatever. You can even make an image a link by applying that option when you insert the image.
Anyway hope that helps!
Hey Shortie… In Enfold theme options > sidebar settings there is a box labelled “Page Sidebar navigation”. Are you sure that’s unchecked?
Just an idea! : )
May 20, 2015 at 5:51 pm in reply to: Color Section Parallax Background Image iPad and iPhone 6 Problems #447327Hi,
Wanted to provide an update. By playing around with the values, I found that the following numbers in the CSS give a functional result. The image isn’t centered within the color section, rather looks more “centered top” (even though centered centered is selected). But at least it displays at normal size.
Here are the new numbers for anyone else with the same issue:
@media only screen and (max-width: 1000px) {
.home .avia-bg-style-fixed .av-parallax {
background-size: 70% 10% !important;
}
}Thanks for the help Josue!!
May 20, 2015 at 7:32 am in reply to: Color Section Parallax Background Image iPad and iPhone 6 Problems #446951Hi again,
For clarity’s sake, I have an image of the problem followed by the desktop screenshot, which is displaying normally. As you’ll see, in the mobile version the image (which, again, is text but actually an image) is WAY oversized, to the point of not being readable at all. Yes the first pic is an actual photo of the mobile device since I’m not sure how to take a screenshot of it.
Here it is:
And the way it’s supposed to be:

May 20, 2015 at 2:13 am in reply to: Color Section Parallax Background Image iPad and iPhone 6 Problems #446861Well, that didn’t work either, though interestingly what it did do was to make the image huge on desktop too when I selected “parallax” for the color section. In other words, I reproduced the problem on desktop. When I switched back to the “fixed” option, the issue went away on desktop, but still persists on the mobile device, even after lots of refreshing.
If it helps with troubleshooting, I’m almost positive this wasn’t a problem before the last update, so maybe it has something to do with that?
May 20, 2015 at 1:59 am in reply to: Color Section Parallax Background Image iPad and iPhone 6 Problems #446853Hm, it still doesn’t seem to be working. I refreshed repeatedly, turned the device off & on, opening an incognito browser, kept refreshing, and the images in each color section are still displaying as giant. Very weird. Just to be clear, it’s only happening on the android device, not desktop.
I’ll keep trying to refresh though it doesn’t seem to be helping…
May 20, 2015 at 1:41 am in reply to: Color Section Parallax Background Image iPad and iPhone 6 Problems #446850Darn it, the CSS has no effect at all. Any other ideas?
Thanks Josue!
May 20, 2015 at 1:05 am in reply to: Color Section Parallax Background Image iPad and iPhone 6 Problems #446833Hey Josue!
Ok, great, thanks!
It’s http://www.tylerschlicting.com/
Right there on the homepage there are a series of color sections with centered images in each one. The images are text, but images nonetheless. I just noticed today that they’re displaying huge on mobile- specifically android 4.2.2.
Thanks a lot, this is outstanding support as usual.
May 20, 2015 at 12:49 am in reply to: Color Section Parallax Background Image iPad and iPhone 6 Problems #446824I’m actually having the same issue, and the above code didn’t work for me. I’ll be following this thread to see if there’s any more insight, if not I’ll start a new support request. Good luck killyman!
Hi Yigit!
So I tried that and it did indeed fix the problem, the hover effect functions normally, but the images were no longer centered in the page, so as an experiment I modified it to this:
#top .thumbnail_container img {
padding-right: 10%; padding-left:10%;
}And it seems to work perfectly. Excellent! Thank you for the help and keep up the great work! : )
May 11, 2015 at 7:02 pm in reply to: Another blog comment count question! (plus a bonus question) #442638Worked like a charm, you guys are rockstars!
Thank you very much! : )
May 10, 2015 at 10:51 pm in reply to: Another blog comment count question! (plus a bonus question) #442157Hey thanks, that worked great for removing the comment count. Thank you!
I’m curious if there’s a way to remove the slash that now appears after the date… so for example instead of this:
March 7, 2015 /It would just be this:
March 7, 2015If not, no problem, just want to have the cleanest aesthetic for my visitors as possible.
Thanks again!Did you try adding “Comments” under content elements in the avia layout builder? I was having the same problem as you until I realized I had to add that element within the layout builder… problem solved!
Alright, thanks a lot Josue, keep up the good work!
Huh, strange… I recently had help setting up a child theme so apparently that didn’t work. I’ll get help with re-installing the theme. Thanks for the advice!
edit: just to be clear, should I reload both the parent and the child via FTP or just one or the other?

Hey sylk,
I’m a novice but I can definitely recommend a plugin simply called “404page”… search for it from your wordpress dashboard and you’ll find it. What it does is allow you to create a new page (designed however you want with the advanced layer editor etc), then you can choose to define that page as the 404 page. It works great and gets good reviews.
I love my 404 page now!
Hi again Josue,
Well dang it, the ALB is indeed available now, but sadly not the Product Purchase Button that should be under plugin additions. There are in fact only 3 buttons there now as opposed to all the ones available on my other site (also enfold) which is working properly.
Any ideas on how to get that button back?
Thank you!!
Hey Josue,
Well, I also tried that before, and I tried again just now- and the problem persists. The most troubling thing is the lack of advanced layer editor functionality, I can live without the other things. Any other thoughts on the matter?
Hi Rikard,
I tried that in the past, then tried again just now, and it doesn’t do anything, the problems persist.
I’d really like to use the advanced layer editor for products, any other ideas on possible fixes?
Thanks Rikard!
Hey guys, me again. I noticed another discrepancy that needs attention. It may or may not be related to the above issues: there’s no option for using the advanced layout editor for products. The button to switch to the advanced editor just isn’t there.
This is no good!
Both enfold and WP are fully updated. I’m perplexed. Help please!
You guys are the best, thank you so much! You are right, works as expected now.
For sure, you guys are awesome and Enfold is amazing… recently switched from Replete and I’m glad I did, worth every penny.
