StephanDecember 6, 2024 at 3:05 pm in reply to: Close drop-down menus with keyboard control via ESC #1473105I’m sorry, but I’ve just discovered a new problem with the php code. In the smartphone view, the submenus with this code are no longer displayed at all. the previously required space remains free, they are probably hidden.

December 4, 2024 at 12:32 pm in reply to: Page as footer is identified in HTML as main and not as a footer #1472910Oh wow, thank you. Downloading your footer.php again and uploading it to the child theme worked immediately – for pages and for posts! Maybe I had made a careless mistake before?! Now I’m happy, because this award was the last gamestopper in the struggle for accessibility. The rest is now pure diligence.
December 3, 2024 at 2:46 pm in reply to: Page as footer is identified in HTML as main and not as a footer #1472782Hi Guenni007,
Thank you for your note. I downloaded Footer.php and added it to the child theme. However, I can’t see any changes afterwards.
The wav analysis still shows <main> as the landmark and there is no markup as a footer in the source code either.
We use a normal page as a footer and have selected Replace footer and socket in the Enfold settings.
I have tried to find a workaround to mark up the footer page, but so far without success.
However, to comply with the Accessibility Act, the footer landmark is unfortunately absolutely necessary (marking up the socket area would be rather misleading on our website).
Do you have any other ideas on this topic?Regards
StephanNovember 18, 2024 at 3:49 pm in reply to: Page as footer is identified in HTML as main and not as a footer #1471584Hi Mike,
Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately, we cannot use the socket area for the website. The footer, on the other hand, contains extensive addresses, eco-labels etc. of the website operator.Our problem is now an expert opinion on the accessibility of the website. It says:
‘Two main content areas (main elements) are defined, one of which is around the footer area. This must be removed. In general, the footer area is to be labelled with a landmark of the contentinfo role (simplest: <footer>) or enclosed with a corresponding element.’We have not yet managed to remove the footer from the main area of the website. How could this work? We have not yet found a starting point.
Best regards

I was indeed referring to the blog post element of the Advanced Layout Builder. Thank you very much for the valuable hint.

StephanHello Rikard,
Thanks for your reply. We have now been able to solve the problem with the following CSS:
.no_margin.av_one_fourth
{
width: 25%;
border-right-style: solid;
border-right-width: 0px !important;
}A border is defined in the theme for the 25% column. We hadn’t noticed this before. Is this generally the case in Enfold or has an error crept in during this particular installation?
Best regards
StephanJanuary 26, 2024 at 10:33 am in reply to: Position of text and buttons in the full-screen slider #1432110Thank you very much Rikard,
That works fine.Hello Rikard,
Unfortunately the widget is not empty, but the complete individual footer is not displayed. It looks as if an invisible default footer would overwrite the intended footer. Only the number of columns, however, is taken over – but the columns are filled with standard widgets and not with the selected ones in the widget area.
Beste regards,
StephanThank you Mike,
It works fine. But how to insert the line into the child-theme?
Regards
StephanWe are having the same problem. We created the Twitter-X as an icon with Fontello and uploaded it to Enfold. Now it can be used everywhere, but not in the social media bar in the header. How can the Twitter icon for the social media profiles be replaced?

StephanJuly 3, 2023 at 1:46 pm in reply to: How can I deactivate the loading spinner on clicked buttons #1412337Thank you very much for the quick support. The code works fine. There is a second part to the problem. The buttons are now still displayed in :visited state when returning via the browser. We would like to deactivate this as well. I can’t find the corresponding class offhand. Can you help us with this as well?
Thanks a lot

StephanNovember 7, 2022 at 6:31 pm in reply to: display-error: open a tab element with deeplink jumps to the top of the page #1371679Hi Ismael,
i couldn’t find any duplicate anchors.
The view jumping actually occurs specifically in Firefox.
Safari, Chrome and Microsoft Edge do not cause any problems.However, the nesting depth is quite complex.
We have on the longscroll side:
– Intermediate menu 1 (deep links).
– links with anchor points (deep links)
– several tabs with deeplinks for opening and closing
– links with anchor points (deep links)
– several tabs with deep links for opening and closing
-> only in this last area and only in Firefox the deeplinks are skipped (see link below)Is there perhaps a specific Firefox solution?
best regards

The textstrings in the DE_Formal file of the Enfold theme have largely not been translated since the last update. We now translated the texts ourselves.
We use Enfold on a lot of websites and it would be a lot of work to replace the language files ‘by hand’. Will there be an update to this file in the foreseeable future?

May 12, 2020 at 10:32 am in reply to: DE_formal does nor work since update on wordpress 5.4 #1212071Hello Victoria,
i’m not sure what you mean. We updated WordPress, Enfold and all plugins to the latest versions. Of course we did not adjust the .mo files by hand yet.
We run a lot of websites for our customers and only those with the theme Enfold do no longer support the German DE_formal. With other themes and standard WP themes DE_formal still works.
Do we now have to manually change the breadcrumb texts and the texts of the search results in the mo. file for enfold?
best regards

please see the following link: https://together-concept.de/?s=example
Breadcrumb: “Du bist hier:” and copytext: “Entschuldigung, aber kein Eintrag erfüllt Deine Suchkriterien. Bitte starte eine neue Suche”
We updated the language files in the wordpress panel again, but nothing changed.
Thanks in advance.

We do habve the same problem with the cookie consent on every page. And: Could you please tell us, where we can find the english instruction text (e.g. Click to enable/disable Google Webfonts.) to translate them into german language?
