Unfortunately that creates an error
“Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Term could not be converted to string in /nfs/c07/h04/mnt/178875/domains/theburningear.com/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 524”
Thanks Josue, that worked and now it says the tag name instead of just “Post”. But how can I add the text “Posts about” so that is says “Posts About [TAG NAME]”? And is it possible to edit the size and formatting? CSS?
Great, this will be good for adjusting thumbnail ratios but what about just simply showing the whole image? Is there a way to turn OFF thumbnails and just have the full (original) ratio featured image show on a post page? I think I’ve seen it.March 31, 2015 at 11:10 pm in reply to: Title and captions for featured images are not showing #421637
Ok thanks. Here is a screenshot. I’d love to have the text be centered below the image, and with not so much padding. Closer to the image, and farther from the header. Also, is it possible to have a link in this caption?
I will also want to add other css styling later (background, border, etc)
Thanks!March 31, 2015 at 9:13 am in reply to: Title and captions for featured images are not showing #421002
1. This shows some text but it looks terrible and unstyled. From reading other comments it seems that the featured image caption should show by default, right? Why is it not showing for me? You can see inthis post there is text in title, caption, and description for featured image but you cant see it anywhere
Is answer #2 meant for me? I didn’t have a question #2 so I’m a bit confused…March 27, 2015 at 10:04 pm in reply to: Title and captions for featured images are not showing #419642
Hi Elliott, I would like to know how to do both so I can chose which is more appropriate.
Hi Ismael, thanks for this!
However, the featured image caption is not showing up in the lightbox.
I can see it on hover so I know its there, but nothing in the lightbox. Is there more code needed?
Hi Ismael, unfortunately that code broke the whole site when I put it in.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /nfs/c07/h04/mnt/178875/domains/test.theburningear.com/html/wp-content/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 520
Is there a specific place it the file it needs to go? I put it at the end.
It seems unnecessary to use a plugin (or post format) since the Soundcloud embed code already exists in the post. Its just being blocked by the Enfold theme. You can see the code in this screenshot
But its not displayed on the post.
There must be a way to just include this custom field in every post. A simple line of code or something.
Thanks Yigit! The full width pictures work great now.
I’m still not getting any change with the div#advads code. I’d like to have the ad show up in the green full width area shown here
Isn’t there some place I can hook in an ad or embed sitewide?
Hmm, that code didn’t seem to do anything. I tried clearing cache as well.
Also, how can I make featured images on the homepage full width? On individual pages they are full width but on home page they dont go all the way.
Thanks Elliott, now that I’ve studied the videos I see how to add it to a page. However, is there a way to add a full width element like that (ALS, Easy slider, etc) sitewide. You can see the image I’ve placed here
Can I implement across the whole site instead of just singular pages.
2. How can I make featured images on the homepage full width?
Thank you but can you please explain Advanced Layer Builder. Is there any documentation you can link me to? I am completely unfamiliar with it and cant find any info on the support page.
1. What is ALB editor? Sorry, if you could explain this one a bit more. Thanks!
4. Worked great, thanks.
5. How can I adjust the line spacing on the left side nave menu? The lines are so far apart
Thanks for the info!
1. See link for attachment.
I’d like to utilize the area in green.
2. Perfect, thank you.
3. Again, thank you!
1 more thing, how can I adjust the padding between elements in the sidebar. The right sidebar has a lot of space between elements/widgets.
