September 7, 2018 at 5:07 pm in reply to: How to remove date and number of comments from blog home page #1007198Hi Rikard,
I placed the code where you asked (in the child theme) and it didn’t work. I also purges all caches and viewed the blog in an incognito window afterwards.
Actually the edit to loop-index.php did the trick, thanks!
Unfortunately that didn’t make a difference. Any other ideas?
That didn’t work either. I added the code to the last line of functions-enfold.php and then uploaded the image again with a new file name. I then replace the featured image on https://brightideas.co/how-i-use-trade-shows-to-find-new-suppliers-for-my-amazon-wholesale-business/ and it is every bit as blurry as before.
You can possible tell me that I’m the only Enfold user to every complain of a blurry featured image??
Hi Yigit,
#3 of your instructions was ambiguous, so I wasn’t able to figure out what you wanted me to do. I made the other changes and the image remains blurry. https://brightideas.co/how-i-use-trade-shows-to-find-new-suppliers-for-my-amazon-wholesale-business/
I have checked with the hosting company and they don’t agree. They tell me that it is the theme causing the image to be blurry, and as proof, they put a copy of my site in the staging area and switch the theme to the default WP theme. As you can see, the image is not blurred when using the default theme: http://brightideas.staging.wpengine.com/how-i-use-trade-shows-to-find-new-suppliers-for-my-amazon-wholesale-business/ (hosted on WPengine)
So, how do we fix the issue of blurred featured images on my blog posts?
Here’s another link: https://brightideas.co/blurry-image/
I use WP Smush and the image was inserted full size.
That seems to have been the issue. Thanks for the help!
Just checked. http://brightideas.co/nate-bradshaw-interview/ is a live post.
How do I use Smart Slider 3 with the Avia Layout Builder?
Thanks!!
Hi Mike,
To resolve the issue, I went back to the default blog page. Prior to that I was using the advanced editor and to create a customer blog page (which I prefer) and couldn’t get the pagination to appear. The URL for this page is http://brightideas.co/blog-2/ and as you can see, there is no way to get to the older posts.I would still like to be able to fix this issue. Thx!
What is ALB?

That didn’t work. temp login details are in the private content area of the original ticket.
Thanks for the assistance :)
I cannot get the demo to import either. I have included the login information in the private content. This is not a production site, so you needn’t worry about screwing anything up. It’s purely for testing purposes.

Thanks for sending the code. I copied it into the Quick CSS spot and nothing changed. Both columns remain the same color of blue that there were before I inserted the code snippet you provided.
Perhaps you think I know how to write CSS? I don’t. My skills are limited to copy/paste and perhaps changing a color code number.
I need instructions that are: step 1: do this, step 2: do this, etc…
Thanks,
TrentThat solved it; thanks!
It looks fine for me on a tablet but here’s how it looks on a phone..
This seems to be what’s happening with my headline rotator as well; text doesn’t display as H1 on mobile (see private content link).
I just realized that although I’m not shown an plugin update option, I’m using Enfold version 3.5.2 instead of 3.6, so I updated to that version and removed font-size: inherit in my shortcodes.css, but I’m still not seeing this display as H1 on mobile (although it looks just fine on desktop and even a small ipad).
Please help.
