    Thank you!! You guys are great and the support is outstanding :-)

    I don’t want to be greedy…but there’s still one issue.

    Did you have a chance to look at the menus on touch-screens? I’m still trying to make the menus close by tapping on them a second time or by tapping on a blank space on the screen. Currently they open when tapped once and then they stay opened which covers up any content below it. They do close if you open another menu or if you refresh the screen but this doesn’t seem right.

    If you do any more edits using the credentials I provided, please do not deactivate the “WP RSS Aggregator plugins”.
    I applied the code you provided but only for the page you created (for now). I’ll leave the test page you created active.

    Thanks again!
    Chris

    Caching is turned off. Caching plugin disabled. Cleared browser cache, refreshed browser, No change.

    FYI, You had me select “display button” for mobile but after things are fixed I plan on keeping the secondary menus fullwidth on mobile. I’m not sure if it matters.

    Thanks

    Yes you can disable plugins. Be aware that I’ve had problems disabling the “RSS Aggregator” plugin before. I believe it causes issues if it’s in the middle of importing feeds. I have paused all feeds for now so hopefully it won’t be an issue.

    Sorry about that…I had a capitol letter where there shouldn’t be. I attached the updated credentials.

    in reply to: Fullwidth Sub Menu Problems #538293

    I changed all three menus to show a button on mobile. I also added login credentials in case you want to edit things on the “Test-Page”.

    Andy,

    I attached a link to the imgur album and a link to the “test-page” I created. Let me know if you need any more info.

    Thanks for the help,
    Chris

    in reply to: Make active Accordion center on the page #536974

    No worries, I appreciate all the great support I’ve gotten so far. If it’s not something easy don’t worry about it.

    I’m just trying to get a drop-down menu that can be placed in the page content. I would rather use the fullwidth secondary menu element but I’m having a lot of problems with it. I currently have a support ticket open for that. If you would care to look at that I would appreciate it. It has more to do with Enfold’s out-of-the-box functionality.

    You can close this ticket. I’ll just wait for a reply to the ticket listed above.

    Thanks again,
    Chris

    As an update,

    I found these posts in the support forums where people were experiencing some of the same issues.
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/collapsible-custom-menu/
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/primary-menu-dropdowns-not-functioning-on-ipad-cant-close-dropdown/
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/ipad-drop-down-menu-wont-tap-off/
    They could not get the dropdown menus to collapse on touchscreens and the top menu would appear above a color section until scrolled. It would not appear below the color section where it was placed.

    Not sure if this helps…

    in reply to: Make active Accordion center on the page #534787

    Hey Rikard,

    I have the accordions on a test page that I’ll attach a link for. You’ll see an accordion at the top and one at the bottom. Both have the title “SKEPTIC MUSIC” in white text. If you open the bottom accordion it will run off the bottom of the page. I’m hoping to make it center itself on the page when opened, similar to the ajax portfolio preview.

    I’m currently testing the accordion on a “Portfolio Page” because I was trying to accomplish the same thing (pop-up content) using the portfolio ajax preview. I’m trying the accordion now so that I can have “text” to click on instead of the portfolio featured image. If there was a way to have the portfolio ajax preview open by clicking on text instead of a featured image, that would work too.

    I hope I made sense…

    Thanks,
    Chris

    in reply to: Long load times on Chrome #520897

    Wow…that’s amazing.

    First I want to thank you. You guys were the first to actually acknowledge that there was a loading issue. Everyone else had told me that the site loaded fine. Second I want to apologize since it wasn’t a problem with your theme, it was my lack of knowledge and experience ultimately. Your support has been the best I’ve seen since starting this project. If it matters, I did try a lot of other things over the past two weeks and only asked for support when I seen someone else comment on the same issue. I spent many MANY hours chasing my tail.

    I’m not sure how these cache settings got turned on. I haven’t messed with them since the initial setup and things have been fine. About two weeks ago everything bogged down on chrome. Maybe it was during a plugin update? Either way, thank you for solving this!!

    I’m happy to say, you can close this topic :)

    Hey Rikard,

    Thanks for looking into this. I attached the links to the problem pages.

    I don’t know if it’s a chrome issue, but “above-the-fold” content does not appear right away on chrome like it does on other browsers. Also, Admin pages load painfully slow on chrome.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    in reply to: Extremely Long Load Times on Chrome Browser #520406

    I’m having the exact same issue. My host and Enfold have told me that it loads fast on their end but I have tried on several devices (two laptops, two desktops, iphone 5, ipad, Note 4 Android), and it always loads slow on chrome. Sometimes it will time-out completely. I’ve been trying many things without success. It seems to have started a couple weeks ago. Most online speed tests tell me that my site is loading in 1-4 seconds but this is not the case on chrome. If I have a fresh cache it takes 15-30 seconds. Also, I’ve been able to recreate the slow loading on Safari sometimes.

    I am not using the Fullwidth Easy Slider though. I have portfolio grids that seem to be causing the issue. The pages that have the portfolio grids are the only ones loading slow for me.

    I attached links to the pages giving me slow load times.

    Hey!

    Thanks begrafiks! That got me started perfect. I’ll post the final code when I get it all done. And thanks Rikard for checking up on this but I think I’m good now.

    in reply to: Limit search to one Custom Post Type #381876

    Great recommendation!

    I purchased SearchWP and created a supplemental search engine that only searches one custom-post-type.. Everything is working good. My default search on the homepage is still working correctly too.

    To create this new search engine I had to create a new search-results-page template with a basic search-form at the top. I styled it to look similar to enfold’s.

    One question though. Is there an easy way to make the SearchWP supplemental search engine output it’s search results to an enfold search-results template so it looks just like the default enfold search-results-page but still only searches for the custom-post-type? I still want to keep the default search engine on my homepage though so I don’t want to modify search.php. Same goes for the search-form. Can I use an enfold style search-form for this new supplemental search engine I created with SearchWP? I just want everything to look the same way.

    I’ve tried a lot of things without success…I tried making an alternate search-form.php and search.php template that will use the SearchWP supplemental search engine but can’t get it right.

    Thanks again!
    Chris

    Thanks for recommending SearchWP! It’s exactly what I needed :)

    in reply to: Blog Posts Stuck in Boxed-Layout #334363

    I think that I fixed my problem. Could you just let me know if the blog posts are defaulted to be only 600px-800px wide? I added some CSS to my child theme to increase it to 100% width.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Thanks for the snippet!! Works perfect :) No worries about the other stuff…you’ve given me enough to work with.

    Thanks so much!

    Perfect! Thanks Ismael.

    One last thing though. I have more than 100 portfolio items in the “Portfolio Grid” so they won’t all fit on one page. When I sort/filter the items by category, it only shows the items on the current page. Is there any way to show sort results from all pages in the portfolio grid. Maybe I could increase the number of items that can be displayed on one page?

    Got it! I had not worked with single page posts very much so I wasn’t even aware of this function. I think this will work just fine.

    Thanks Ismael!

    Hey Ismael!

    I really like this idea! I hate to bother you anymore but could you provide a snippet for this?

    I already added a snippet to enable post navigation on mobile devices so I think this could work good :)

    Thanks again for all your help!

    Probably a stupid question, but what do you mean by “enable this filter on the post navigation”? I’m willing to try it but I’m not sure what I’m looking for or what it will allow me to do.

    Ok. No problem. That might work fine, and I have some other options to make things work. Good to know before I move forward.

    Thanks for the Info :)

    Sorry, the post I was referring to above was #171923

    Thanks for responding Ismael. I thought that it might be too big of a modification. But could you take a look at this post: #171923. I’m not sure what is being referred to here. It seems like the same issue but I could not find those lines of code.

    Also, since you brought up the “previous” and “next” buttons. I have several categories in the portfolio grid. If someone selects one of these categories in the top menu (the menu that sorts and filters the grid by category) and then use the “previous” and “next” navigation, they have to scroll through ALL of the portfolio items. Is there a way to limit the ajax preview to only the category that was selected? Meaning, if “ALL” is selected, all items will show in ajax preview, but if “PODCASTS” category is selected, only items in the category “podcasts” will show in ajax preview.

    Thanks again for all your help,
    Chris

    Just a couple more things in regards to portfolio items.

    1. I currently have the ajax preview set up for “don’t show images at all and display preview text only”. Instead I put an image into the preview text. I would like to show the featured image instead but it is displayed too large. I tried the following code but it doesn’t work well with responsive design as it shrinks the image down to a tiny dot on small windows and mobile devices. I don’t think I can use a percentage and still keep the responsiveness working correctly.

    .portfolio-preview-image {
    width: 30% !important;
    }
    .portfolio-preview-content {
    width: 70% !important;
    }

    2. Also, I have the image in my preview text linked to a different website that opens in a new window. I have the title in ajax preview set to go to the same web page but it opens in the same window. Any way to have it also open in a new window also?

    3. I am trying to make the ajax slider only show the portfolio items from the selected category instead of all portfolio categories. I found this code on the forums but it is not working. (I put it in my child theme function file)

    add_filter(‘avia_post_nav_settings’,’avia_remove_fullwidth_slider_check’, 10, 1);
    function avia_remove_fullwidth_slider_check($settings)
    {
    $settings[‘same_category’] = true;
    return $settings;
    }
    I’ve already added a few changes to my child theme’s CSS and Function files without any issues. Not sure why this didn’t work.

    I’m currently playing around with the portfolio elements. They are indeed the best options. Still tweaking some things but I think it will work just fine.

    Thanks for your help!

    You are right. Sorry about that.

    Thanks for the great support!
