Have had the same problem with sizing the background image for Color Sections. Spent countless hours trying to figure it out since starting with the theme two years ago. It’s never an easy process, always confused, what combo of options to use, which size to select, etc. Seems there are a lot of users having the same trouble over the course of this forum.
Can Kriesi and team create a comprehensive walk through please. Somewhere. Anywhere. The current tutorial doesn’t address the requirements/recommendations for the size of image you’re uploading. And, that seems a vital part….among other steps in the workflow. I’ve literally spent hours trying to make it work, reading posts here, and hacking away to no avail.
Thanks.

September 17, 2016 at 8:52 pm in reply to: Search results page is formatted differently than the demo #688007Hi Vinay,
Thank you for the detailed response. It solved part of the problem. With your directions, the sidebar is now there. Great! But, the primary problem still remains: layout for results. The Enfold Demo displays them vertically — you navigate results quickly and easily via scroll. Mine displays buttons (circled numbers) for each result that require user to click through each one/new page load. This is really apparent when comparing the screenshots.
Look forward to a solution and thank you.
Regards,
NicoleThat resolved the iniital issue. Thank you. But other issues come up now in responsive mode.
1) The text across top is ‘smushed’ and
2) the tab label for the active/selected tab does not display. It’s a gray empty box. Here are screenshots from an iPhone 4S.

Thank you for the help.
Tabs are designed to run off the page on mobile devices? It looks terrible. Enfold is one of the best theme out there….hands down. I can’t imagine you guys would intentionally design tabs this way. Thanks for clarifying.
Your image actually shows the problem. The three tabs running vertically along the left side labeled “All Features, Standard Features, Custom Features” are all cut off.
Thanks for looking into this. Requested information is below.

Here are the screenshots that show the difference between my layout to the Enfold demo layout:

Hi Andy,
I’m not sure I’ve communicated the problem correctly. My search function and said results does indeed work. It’s the page layout and how the results are presented that is incorrect. Mine is completely different from the Enfold demo’s page. It has done this since day-one of installing the theme. And, it occurs across several website installations of the theme so it’s not local to this website. As such, I’m not sure how a complete reinstall or WP update would impact it, as suggested.Hoping to finally get this resolve and I really appreciate your help!
Thank you,
NicoleThe problem occurs on all my installations of Enfold. Here is another website with the same problem: http://www.mwfpolo.com/?s=polo.
Did your team customize the demo’s search results page or should your customer’s page look the same out of the box?
Thank you
Wordpress and all plugins have been updated. This did not change the layout of the search results page. Problem still remains. Not sure why it would have, but nonetheless, it’s all set.

Ok. Thanks for the reply!
Hi Andy,
This doesn’t seem to need custom work. I don’t think my search results page is rendering the default layout. Folks in this forum talk about sidebar and breadcrumbs, as seen on the demo result page: http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/?s=test Shouldn’t my search results page match the demo?
Thanks!RESOLVED: Used an Advanced Layerslider instead and must designate percentages % on text to make them responsive.

May I piggyback on this same topic? I have tried all the above — and more — to get http://www.voicecarrier.com/hospitality/ resolve correctly in responsive settings. Got rid of the columns. Also tried the Custom CSS Class .no-padding and .mobile-hidden for the color section but it also hides the rest of the elements in the section – of which I need as it’s the content title – not just the background image. The text block element requires right-indentation so it doesn’t cover the left portion of background image. Also tried padding instead of indentation and did not work. Text still goes off the screen on mobile devices.
I don’t even care if background image displays on mobile devices, just need the text. Is there a work around with or without the background image?
Thanks for the help!Update: Success! Discovered that cache plugin settings were causing a delay in the child style updates. So, Ismaels code was working, after all. Thanks!
Now, new tabs are just magically duplicating when working in the Advanced Layout Editor.
I just sent the login via Private Content. Please confirm receipt.
Thanks for the reply. Add this to the custom css and it didn’t change anything. Tab positions are same as before.
Hi Yigit,
I’m reopening this topic as I have expanded the question. I’ve created a set of horizontal tabs that work fine. See here: http://www.voicecarrier.com/features_2Now I’d like to add more tabs along the left side, vertically. So, there would be the row of 9 “buttons”(i.e., tabs) across the top that displays their respective content, as well as the 3 “buttons” along the left with each of their respective content. Clicking on each one displays a different set of icons.
How would you suggest doing this? I though of using a sidebar for the 3 verticals, but I’d like to keep everything in the same container without new page loads. I’m not wedded to using tabs either. A plugin or different element is fine.
I’ve attempted to show the desired layout here:
| Business Features | Call Management | Conference+Collaboration | Support+ Security | ….

All

Standard

Premium*Thanks!!*
Removed the submenu. Couldn’t fix it and had to create a work around so I just took it down.
How would you add an Iconbox to the tab content? The “Insert Shortcode Elements” on the toolbar is limited to five shortcodes. Iconbox is not one of them?
I would like to create a page similar to this one http://www1.phone.com/feature/ with the sort-and-view ability (i.e., interactive buttons along left side).
This page used Isotope, but I believe Enfold’s Portfolio is already using it.
How would you go about creating something similar in Enfold?
Thanks!
