  • in reply to: How to adjust 5-column layout for tablet views? #607909

    Hi Yigit,

    I had to change the value from 990 to 1140 to get it to do the same thing on landscape view on a tablet (it was still showing 5 columns and they were still cutting off a little bit there), but now it looks great.

    Thank you so much for all of your help!

    in reply to: How to center footer widget titles only #607904

    Hi Yigit,

    Works perfectly to center the text on desktop views, thank you!

    Is there a way to limit this change only to large screens like desktop, so they are flush left on tablet views? I had not even considered they would not like right there if centered– my bad, I should have thought of that.

    Also, is there a way to increase the margin for the Pages widget (left column) on tablet views so it lines up with the others? Looks like it is maybe 4-5px farther left than the rest.

    Thanks a million!

    Hi Basilis,

    Thanks so much for this, but it unfortunately doesn’t seem to be changing the alignment of the titles or the widgets.

    Any other ideas?

    Awesome– that fixed it!

    Hi Rikard,

    Thank you for this– I added it and flushed the cache but I still see the separator line.

    Hey Vinay,

    Thank you for this. I have turned off maintenance mode now so you can see the page– sorry, I forgot that was on.

    Separators between menu items are already turned off.

    Any other suggestions to remove that line on the right of the menu on that page?

    Thanks so much for your help!

    in reply to: How to hide social icons on one page? #606801

    Hey cherrmann,

    Thanks for the tip, but it doesn’t seem to work, maybe because the container is not in the sidebar but is instead beside the main navigation.

    I thought I had tried this before, but this actually does work: .page-id-36 .social_bookmarks { display: none !important;
    }

    The only thing I need now is to hide the separator that shows to the right of the menu/to the left of the icons. Looks like that may be div.avia-menu av-main-nav-wrap av_menu_icon_beside – any advice on how to construct that selector?

    This does not work: .page-id.36 div.avia-menu av-main-nav-wrap av_menu_icon_beside { display: none !important;
    }, also tried it with # and . in front of div, tried it without div and nothing or . or # in front of .avia-menu…

    Sometimes I can figure these out, sometimes I need a little help, and it looks like I need a little help on this one.

    Thanks!

    Hi Ismael,

    Just wanted to let you know I went with a different plugin and it looked and worked great out of the box with the theme: https://wordpress.org/plugins/instagram-feed/.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi Gunter,

    Perfect, this is exactly what I needed.

    Thank you so much!

    Hey Yigit,

    Works perfectly, this is exactly what I needed.

    Thanks a million!

    Hey Jordan,

    Whoops! Sorry about that– forgot that was turned on.

    I have turned it off now and the link provided earlier is for the page with the menu that I want to change the font color on– the only menu link is to that page.

    Thanks much!

    Hi Jordan,

    This is great news!

    A link to a sample page is below. Can you assist with the CSS selector to customize the menu font color for it?

    Per-page menus are set up using this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/zen-menu-logic/.

    Works perfectly. Thought I tried that, but I must have had a typo or something.

    Thanks so much for the helpful information– I am sure it will save you some work in the future. ;)

    You guys are always so great– thanks again!

    in reply to: Adjust submenu alignment in mobile menu #595305

    Hey Vinay,

    How do I designate it is only for the mobile view?

    I would list the code I used but I deleted it and couldn’t figure it out again– I started with media devices and max width 990px (so feature phones would be included), and I think I made the left value 5px.

    It looked perfect on the mobile view but moved the logo in the logo area over to the right on the desktop view for some reason, so it was covering the first couple of main menu items.

    Can you help me with the right selectors?

    Thanks!

    Hi Vinay,

    This is great, thank you so much!

    I did not know that about the equal height setting, thanks for letting me know that was the issue– I just found that setting and it is very handy, but I guess it won’t always work.

    Thanks again for your help!

    in reply to: 3 column layout issue in tablet view #594529

    Hi Vinay,

    Admin access info is below. All I need is for the row with the icon boxes to stack on those tablet views instead of displaying horizontally– everything else is perfect.

    Thank you so much for your help!

    in reply to: 3 column layout issue in tablet view #594364

    Hi Vinay,

    Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, when I remove the other code and add this, the 1/3 icon boxes still do not stack and are not lined up right, and the icon list elements above are not aligned right either.

    Screenshot links are below. (I put the code I had before back since this fix made other parts worse.)

    Any other ideas?

    in reply to: LinkedIn share not pulling images and tags #568852

    Hi Andy,

    Yoast unfortunately does not really provide support for the free version, so opening a support thread probably won’t help.

    When I change themes to Twenty Fifteen, it looks like LinkedIn tries to pull an image, but I cannot see it in the preview, and it still does not pull the tags (title and meta description)– link to screenshot of preview of LinkedIn share with Twenty Fifteen activated is below.

    Since the share does technically work to at least get the link and page name, even though it is not pulling the image, title and description, I will tell the client a developer’s assistance or an upgrade to the Yoast plugin that includes support will be needed to fix this issue.

    Thanks very much for your help.

    in reply to: LinkedIn share not pulling images and tags #566341

    Hi Basilis,

    I removed the fix I applied from this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/social-sharing-buttons-2/, and at least I no longer get the error when I try to share, but it still shares only the page name and site name, no image/title tags even though the OG tags exist and are pulling fine on Facebook and Twitter.

    Any ideas on how to get it to pull the image, title and meta description?

    Hi Andy,

    Thanks for the suggestion, but this doesn’t seem to work either. :(

    If there are any other suggestions, let me know.

    Thanks so much to everyone who tried to help with this issue!

    in reply to: Instagram Widget Not Updating #561592

    Hi Andy,

    Ok, I re-activated the caching plugin, turned off caching, deleted the cache twice, cleared my browser cache a few times, refreshed a few times and closed the browser and re-opened to the page. Then de-activated the plugin again, cleared browser cache twice again, refreshed a few times and closed the browser and re-opened to the page, and I am still not seeing the most recent images in the Instagram feed.

    I repeated the same (clearing cache multiple times, refreshing multiple times, closing window and re-opening) using another browser and am getting the same results (no change in what I see in the widget).

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Vinay,

    The inline code is only on the Reviews page, not in the slider on the Home page (each copy of the info is separate).
    I have removed it, and still don’t see any changes to the Home page testimonial slider subtitles when I adjust Quick CSS line-height. (Quick CSS is already in there.)

    Any other suggestions?

    Also, what is Quick CSS to adjust line-height of testimonial title? I had added inline code to reduce space on the Reviews page between title and subtitle. Now that I removed inline code, how can I remove that extra space in Quick CSS?

    I tried span.avia-testimonial-name {
    line-height: 1.4em !important;
    }
    and it doesn’t change anything.

    Thank you for your help.

    in reply to: Instagram Widget Not Updating #560730

    Absolutely! Login info is below and all caching (local and Cloudflare) is still turned off.

    Thanks very much for your help!

    Hi Ismael,

    I disabled all plugins and purged my mobile browser cache a couple of times, and still no change in line spacing when I change the line-height value in Quick CSS. I don’t understand it either. :(

    Login info is provided below in case you want to take a look.

    If we still can’t find a solution, the client can live with it as it is if he has to.

    Thanks for all of your help.

    Hi Vinay,

    It looks great now!

    You are definitely my hero of the day today. :)

    Thanks SO MUCH for your help!

    in reply to: Button on full-width easy slider cuts off on small screens #559561

    Hi Dake,

    The text in the slide was edited per the client (text is a little longer so the slider title now breaks onto 2 lines), and now the button is almost entirely hidden. I adjusted the height in both directions, upward to 130px and downward to 100px, and it looks the same in both cases.

    Admin access credentials are below.

    Thanks so much for your help!
