June 17, 2016 at 4:37 pm in reply to: Custom positioning of caption of full width easy slider #649873
Hi Rikard,
Thanks for you answer :)
I used the ‘full with easy slider’ for this:
As you see the caption is in the middle of the page. I tried choosing different positions inside the ‘fullwidth-element’ but there is no option to move it exactly to the bottom of the slide. Can this be done somehow?
I tried using a color section to do this since then it’s possible to use the builder element to place the text exactly where I want, but the color section won’t show my picture in normal scale but enlarges it automatically all the time. Is there a way to tell the color section to show the image ‘as is’?
Thanks!!
Also removing the fadein/out when flipping through the photos in the light box would be wonderful :)
Sorry :) found this myself. There’s a nice setting inside the masonry to deactivate the overlay :)
Cool! Thanks for replying and fixing it :)
And thanks for a great template. I don’t use anything else anymore :)
Best,
ToniIt didn’t work. I removed the masonry and rebuilt it – still wrong layout. Then I built the whole page from scratch but it showed off in a wrong way again… Finally I made a duplicate (duplicate post plugin) of the Danish version of the page (which was correct layout but a translation of the original English page). Then renamed this page and made new link, translated it into an English version and set Enfold to show the new English and Danish duplicates as as frontpages. Long way around… :)
If you want to check what is wrong with the old page I saved it as ‘soundsound – backup’. Don’t know if it’s a bug in the masonry?!?
I’ll try that. Thanks :)
Hi Andy!
Thanks for checking. I’ll be awaiting an update.
Can you please look at my frontpage in English? It shows the masonry in 2 rows and 2 columns even though it’s set to 4 columns inside the theme. This happened after your testing??? The Danish version of the frontpage is correct with 1 row and 4 columns. How do I get it back to how it was?!
Thanks!
Hi Andy,
That’s all right. As long as we find a solution :)
Did you mean “our” end or “your” end in your previous post?
I just went to the webpage and the masonry has changed on the English frontpage compared to the Danish. It’s now showing 4 posts on two rows instead of one row. Is this due to your testing of the site? I would very much like it to be on one line as it was before and as it is on the Danish version of the frontpage.
Thanks!!
Hi again :)
Thanks for looking into this!
I didn’t think of the booklet plugin since it looked like a WPML plugin at first glance – forgot that one. Yes, you are allowed to deactivate the plugins for testing, as long as you set everything back to how it was before :)
I haven’t done any custom code in any PHP files. Only used standard Enfold theme and added some small codes in the quick CSS field.
Also I just backed up the whole site, just in case.
Thanks Andy!
Hi Andy
Tried deactivating the ‘duplicate post plugin’ and the problem still occurs (t’s still deactivated if you want to check).
I won’t deactivate the WPML plugins since the site needs to be working and your theme claims to be made for the WPML plugin so I don’t think that’s the problem.
Are there any ways of fixing this?
Cheers,
ToniAny news on this? Have you checked?
It looks like the randomise function takes in account at each ‘load more’ block as separate events and therefore choose 4 random posts from ALL posts each time the load more button is pushed.
It looks like it consistently duplicates one post 3 times and another 2 times… ???
Yes, just gave you the logins in the private field.
Also the main page the masonry is set to ‘random’ so it should show up with duplicated posts when you ‘Load more’ of the posts.
Sorry! Everything is ok now. I needed to log out and in again :) PHEEWW!
This doesn’t align the subheading. How do you add the alignment to the subheading as well. And how can you make this unique to only one special heading and not all special headings on a whole page?
Thanks. Just tried it but it didn’t remove the white line. Just moved the size of the color section with a couple of pixels
I use Mac OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and Safari 6.2
It worked! :)
Thank you so much!! Have a wonderful day.
I just found a solution for the Portfolio size myself and changed the setting in funcitons.php :)
Still need help with the blog text excerpt length though.
Hi Josue,
Thank you so much for all your answers. It all worked except the length of the blog excerpt. I put it in my functions.php in the end of the file and nothing happened. Is there a specific place to insert it in the php file or is there something wrong in the code you gave me?
You didn’t answer my last question if it is possible to change the dimensions of a ‘Portfolio’ dimensions image when inserting photos in a blog? Is it doable to change it or maybe make a new standard dimension size for inserting media? I would like a 600X400 that crops the image if it’s bigger than that (not distoring it)?
THANKS! :)
Oh, another question:
4.)
Just tried changing the size of the images I have in my posts. I want them to be 600 px wide so it’s the same width as the text. But at the moment I’m using the ‘Portfolio’ option for size when inserting images in a post. Where can I change the size of the ‘Portfolio’ dimensions to be 600X400 instead (now it’s 495X400)?I tried using the ‘Custom Size’ but then my image gets distorted (looks like the aspect is linked even though it’s the wrong aspect ratio) and the ‘Portfolio’ option seems to crop the image to fit the dimensions which is good. I would also prefer to have a set option each time I’m inserting an image so I don’t have to type dimensions each time.
Thanks :)
