Andy – thanks for checking in on this. All I’m hoping to do is prevent posts of a specific category “case studies” or posts of a certain format “Link” from appearing in the avia-post-nav that appears on the left/right edges when viewing individual posts. (We use “Link” post formats to create post slider and grid links that lead to pages instead of posts, but don’t want these “Link” posts of the “case studies” category to be included in the edge avia-post-nav.) I will share a DropBox link in private message. Thanks!
Thanks for being in touch – I’m trying it, but its not preventing the link format posts from displaying in the side .avia-post-nav. Any other ideas?
I continue to experience the same as noted above. If I enter “Futura-pt” or Futura-pt in the font family field in the controls section, then save and leave that slider, when I return the font family and any other styling done on that layer haven’t been saved. It doesn’t break anything, but just doesn’t save. This is particularly painful if you use this font across multiple layers in multiple slides and then need to edit them later.
But, as noted above, if that Typekit font family is added via CSS in the Custom CSS area, that CSS DOES save. I am sticking with the Custom CSS area for now and it is doing the trick. Thanks!
I am good for now. Thanks again.
Got it. Yes, adding the font-family CSS in the bottom Custom CSS area of the slide editor area works – AND – those details seem to save and remain intact after leaving the slider editor and returning later. This will get me by for the moment. Thanks for confirming.
The issue I was experiencing and continue to experience is was when inserting “Futura-pt” or just Futura-pt (Typekit font) into the upper Font Family form field (whether I’m using quotation marks or not) after saving, leaving and returning all of the styling for that slide is eliminated – the font is no longer displaying in the Font Family field and other styling is also missing. It seems that if I just specify the generic futura family that font does save and sticks when returning – but when using “Futura-pt” or Futura-pt it seems to break the editor.
The editor seems to accept Google fonts just fine up in that upper Font Family form field, so maybe there’s a fix for this somehow to allow Typekit fonts to stick as well? I will just avoid using that top area for that specific Typekit font and will use the lower Custom CSS area instead. I realize this is not your doing and perhaps these comments should be directed to the plugin developers. But just worth noting.
Thanks again for looking into this.
I enabled debug mode. Pasted original shortcode into new page. Same result. Then, I attempted to duplicate some sections from top of page and place them down toward bottom of page. Similar results – everything below the “Our Staff” section was pushed to left below sidebar.
BUT – Next I moved a duplicated color section just above the “Our Staff” section (below the contact form section). For some reason this fixed the alignment of the content below that point. So, it seemed like maybe having a color section instead of naked layout columns at that point was the trick. I then moved the “Our Staff” items into a blank color section and page is aligning as expected.
I am moving on. Still not sure why it is happening. If you care to look into it further, I’ve renamed pages and providing links in private content. If I experience again I will let you know, but will likely continue to use Color Sections if needed.\
Thanks.

Setting up a new user for you now.
March 16, 2016 at 7:12 pm in reply to: Layout Element with Negative Top Margin Hidden Until Scrolling #599129You solved it for me. I had NOT set the z-index of the fullscreen slider AT ALL. (I erroneously assumed it would have a default of 0 or 1??) When I set it to 1 using custom css class, the layout element appears as expected.
And, yes, I am going to upgrade WP soon!
Thank you!

May 3, 2015 at 6:12 am in reply to: WP 4.2.1 + Enfold 3.1.5 = Advanced Layout Editor & Display Issues #438458Discovered that deactivating thumbnail regenerator plugin brought the Advanced Layout Editor back to normal operating mode. Tried a new post since deactivating the thumbnail regenerator and editor and display issues noted above seem fixed. Thanks for reading to the end.
UPDATE:
I just finished my live chat with BlueHost. After more than one hour chatting and probing to get them to look further, an admin joined our chat and investigated…About 20 minutes later they said: “Try it now.”
I uploaded a 2MB file, then a 5MB file – both successfully with no HTTP error!!
What did they do on their end? I’m not 100% sure. All they reported was: “I edited the nginx.conf file as well as the php.ini” – no further details provided.
I am having similar issues when uploading images and PDF files. I seem to be able to upload files up to 1MB in size, but anything beyond that results in a simple ‘HTTP error’ and no upload. Files seem to upload and crunch speedily enough – they don’t seem to “hang” during the upload process – they just don’t ever successfully upload if over a certain file size. WP 4.1.1 / Enfold 3.1
– I have cranked up memory limits at server level via php config controls in BlueHost
– I have disabled plugins one-by-one and attempted uploads after each
– I have removed some of the Avia image options from enfold/functions.php per another forum post
– I am on a chat with BlueHost at the moment to see if they have any insightsRikard – thanks for the quick reply. YES. You were right, deactivating the existing caching plugin fixed that issue. Both post excerpts and widget contents now updating without delay. Thanks again!
