That solved it. (Also had to change shortcodes.css)
You guys should make an option to select whether the slider content should be in h1 or h2 from within the wp-admin
Followed Yigit’s instructions and it didn’t work.
In fact slideshow.php doesn’t contain an<h2>
at all. It has an<h4>
instead. I suspect these are out of date instructions for an earlier version of the theme.However
slideshow_feature_image.php has an<h2>
which I changed to ‘<h1>’ in my child theme
BUT
the changes do not affect the slider. It stays as an h2.
There is no caching at fault here.This is bad for the site’s SEO and it’s definitely suffering as a result. A fix is needed.
These instructions no longer seem up to date.
July 19, 2016 at 7:46 pm in reply to: Enfold Header module not displaying text in Punjabi language #662692Yes, it’s actually Droid Sans that was the font used in that heading.
https://www.google.com/fonts/specimen/Droid+Serif The character list is limited.
However, the problem is that it doesn’t fallback to anything, even though the font-family was set to ‘Droid Serif’,’HelveticaNeue’,’Helvetica Neue’,Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif. On Chrome, the Punjabi characters are the same no matter what font-family is used, but in IE7/Win7 the Punjabi characters don’t load at all, unless the primary font-family set has those characters.
Any thoughts on why this is?
Thanks!
July 18, 2016 at 10:38 pm in reply to: Enfold Header module not displaying text in Punjabi language #662288Hi! It was a font issue. By changing the font family to Arial, the text appeared.
Do you have any idea why Open Sans wouldn’t work? It doesn’t have the special character maybe?
Thanks!
July 13, 2016 at 1:43 am in reply to: Enfold Header module not displaying text in Punjabi language #660172Yes, it happens with the text applied on the Color Section:
That did not resolve the issue
But I did manage to figure it out on my own.
Turns out the styles for the heading in question…
text-indent:-9999999em;
was the culprit.Using
text-indent:-9999999px;
fixed the problem.Apparently the animations for the blocks below didn’t play well with that text indent using em instead of px
I just tried the login I provided you with above with copy/paste and it worked for me. I was able to login. I did however discover that it wasn’t set to Admin role which I have corrected.
Can you describe in more detail what you mean by “do not work”? I’m trying to establish if there’s a typo in the login, some kind of firewall block happening, or if you were referring to permissions level.
…so we can try to disable all plugins
For the 3rd time… all plugins have been disabled since June 9th.
- The URL to the login screen. – Info below, in private.
- A valid username (with full administration capabilities). – Info below, in private.
- As well as a password for that username. – Info below, in private.
- permission to deactivate plugins if necessary. – All plugins have been deactivated since June 9th!
June 20, 2016 at 11:31 pm in reply to: Uncaught TypeError: $.AviaTooltip is not a constructor #651135Actually, I was able to fix it by deactivating the “Rocket Loader” option on Cloudflare. But on the other website in question we still have the problem of items not showing.
June 20, 2016 at 11:28 pm in reply to: Uncaught TypeError: $.AviaTooltip is not a constructor #651134I am having this problem too on two sites using the Enfold theme, and with a slider video. The video isn’t showing… And the text above it disappears, as well as another testimonial text below it. It vanishes after page load.
>Does this only happens when BWP is enabled?
Obviously not. The issue is still there despite the plugin being disabled.
(As I mentioned 8 days ago.)Auto-minify is also turned off within CloudFlare
The latest version that I mentioned above that I downloaded and installed is already v3.6.1
CloudFlare’s cache was cleared.
Browser cache is cleared.
Visited site in Chrome in Incognito mode which doesn’t use any cached content.
.htaccess has no expires info within it.
Issue persists.I deleted the theme folder.
Downloaded a fresh copy from Themeforest.
Uploaded it via FTP.
Issue persists.All plugins have been disabled
Wordpress and Enfold are up to date.
Issue persistsI updated it on a staging server. (URL attached in private mode.)
It still didn’t work.I tried the plugin and it seems to work well.
I am however having an issue with some animation not working properly in Chrome while working fine in Safari and Firefox. (URL attached in private mode.)

I was able to solve the problem by clicking on a field of the Theme Settings, then clicking out, and Saving all changes. Only importing from parent theme doesn’t do it, you still have to Save changes on top of it, even though the changes are saved… It’s not an obvious solution, but it did the trick.
About 30 seconds after I hit submit, I found the problem. We had selected the option to build our own layout, but hadn’t done it. Changing the Blog Style in the Enfold Theme Options fixed the problem.
Thanks again,
JeremyWe’re very happy with the Enfold theme, but an empty posts page is our one big problem.
The dev blog page is at http://eb5.23b.myftpupload.com/blog/.
Individual blog post pages work perfectly: http://eb5.23b.myftpupload.com/remember-its-still-litigation-plans-of-arrangement-champion-iron-mines-and-canadian-ma-and-reorganizations/.The site is being developed on Media Temple WordPress hosting. We have tried:
- Deactivating all the plugins;
- Deleting the .htaccess file;
- Updating permalinks; and
- Updating the theme.
If it helps, all of the posts on the site are imports from another WordPress site. We have the same problem with newly created posts.
Any other ideas? We’re happy to share login credentials if someone can have a look.
Many thanks in advance for all your help.
Kind Regards,
Jeremy -
