Hello,
Thanks so much. I am able to view the content in the text block. This is great! I will go with your second option. Delete old page and use the page you created as a test page. Again, I truly appreciate the help. I have no idea how or why this changed. All of a sudden I did an update to Theme and WordPress and it just stopped working. All this has been very helpful information.
Thanks again!
Hello Rikard,
Unfortunately, I’m still not able to see information in content box. It still just says “Click here to add your own text”. I’m not certain what is going on. Are you able to do what Guenni007 has suggested? Maybe that will fix it. Otherwise I’ll have to hire an outside consultant to fix it. Thanks again for all your help! I truly appreciate you trying even if it didn’t fix the issue. It was a very nice gesture.
Hello Rikard,
You do have my permission to enable debug mode so that you can clean up the mark-up. Please and thank you so much!
Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help. I’m sorry my developer skills are so limited. I do plan to take some classes soon.
If I do that I’m afraid I’ll mess something up and the whole site will be down. I guess I’ll have to look at other ways. Appreciate the feedback even if it didn’t help. Have a great rest of your week and take care!
Thanks, here are the files contained within the child theme. I don’t know how to update via FTP.
Hello Rikard,
Thanks for your message. What I’m explaining to you all is that I have not added anything. I don’t know anything about coding and developing. All I did was update the theme and update wordpress. Apparently at some point the two stopped interacting with each other which has caused this issue. I’m afraid if I do this, I will mess the entire site up. If you know what the issue is, please just fix it. You all have the login credentials. Do I have to pay for support for this?
Our Theme is dependent on a child theme. I don’t know if that changes things. I can’t do any debugging or coding at all. I’m sorry. This site was built by a consultant back in 2016 and handed off to us to manage. It’s supposed to be plug and play so that you don’t have to have developer skills to maintain but it’s starting to sound as if the Theme is outdated or WordPress is. It appears that maybe both have seen their better days and we need to move on to a more modern platform that doesn’t require you to have to troubleshoot to fix every other day.
Please advise.
Thank you!
D3rojas, are you experiencing the same issues? I’m inclined to agree with you, the support is almost non-existent. I’m hoping they see our pleas for help and respond soon. I do like Enfold but there are several other themes where support is better and theme doesn’t require as much maintenance. Soon we’ll have no other choice but to look at implementing a new solution. Perhaps good customer service isn’t part of their commitment to their customer base.
The new PHP version was updated a few moments ago. The PHP isn’t the issue it appears. We need to look at other possible causes. Bluehost is our hosting company.
In speaking the the hosting company they said there’s a problem with the Avia Layout Builder. That I need to contact the them developers. It appears that the blame is being switched between hosting company and theme maker. Please help. I just need to get this fixed. This has been over 3 months of dealing with the issue and trying to trouble shoot before I finally brought you all in. Thanks so much!
Never mind. I contact our hosting company and they updated us to 7.3 version of PHP. This has had no affect on the issue I was experiencing. I’m still not able to view the text block. Please help!
Thanks. Can you please provide directions on how this can be obtained and installed? Is there a cost for this?
Hello Victoria,
My apologies, I have updated the profile. Thanks!
No I haven’t. I don’t do anything with coding. Only download updates from Themeforest/Envato
Ok, I just tried that and it doesn’t resolve the issue.

If you’re the same Victoria I worked with on the exact same initiative, perhaps the info below will ring a bell.

Hi Cassandra,
You’re talking about anchors, the link that take you to a section of the page, those are page specific and are done in a different way. You will need to build a separate menu for this page and not use portfolio items, but use section ids to where these anchors should go to.
Here is the basics of how to create anchors https://www.wendycholbi.com/anchor-links-jump-links/
But your case is a bit more complex.Best regards,

September 11, 2017 at 7:46 pm in reply to: Linking sidebar menu items to Heading item in portfolio #850647I’ve updated the information as you requested.
I want to link a side bar to a heading in a page.
Webpage link to view sidebar:
Right now when I click on some of the sidebar headings on the left pane it takes me here. The picture below represents the Fleet Services Parts & Equipment screen shot. You’ll see the 2 highlighted parts in the picture. 1 to side bar and the other to the Heading of Fleet Services. It takes you to the 2nd screen shot when you click on the sidebar link for Fleet Services Parts and Equipment but I don’t want it to go there but to the Heading above the Auto Parts with the RED keyboard key that says Car Parts in the picture area of the available contracts. I cannot see where I can tell it not to go to here but instead bookmark to the heading section where I want it. So basically I would like to create a bookmark to that specific part in the page so that when the person clicks on the sidebar link it will jump them to that particular section in the page. I
Where it links you to when you click on sidebar item:

Are you able to explain to me what I’m doing wrong? I cannot see how you can bookmark a heading without changing it into a text block field. Or do you know of a simpler way to get this accomplished?

I don’t have any browser add-ons that I’m aware of. Is this something you think Themeforest support should be able to fix thru our support contract?
I’ve tried Incognito and I’ve tried logging in on a different computer with another users profile and this hasn’t worked.
Had our help desk clear all the cache and I just used incognito function with no change. Please advise.
No this one belongs to me. If I’m clearing the cache and it still isn’t working then what are our options. As I mentioned it did correct the text overlay between Text Block and Element Preview but that was it.
I cleared the cache and now there’s no overlay in Text Block and Element Preview which is a good sign. However, you’re still not able to see the text. I don’t know the user name and password to login as a support person. I’ve taken over the position from someone else who has moved on in the organization. Can you provide those credentials for me to test?
As you see the Text Block
Even though there is text in the box it appears to be blank as well as the Text Block Editing Menu is gone such as Bold, Italic, Font Size etc…..this is a huge problem. Whether you click on the Visual or Text tab you see nothing. It appears it has something to do with my user profile or view but when I go in and access others profiles, they too have the exact same options selected so I’ve ruled that out. But you as well as Blue host techs also are not able to see what I’m seeing. I’ve also had other team-members log in and they also cannot see text.

Yes, from your view you’re not able to see what I see. How do I attach a picture so that I can show you what I’m experiencing? Specifically the Portfolio Items pages currently.

All is updated; however, with the 4.5 WordPress update, the sliders don’t show up while you are logged into the wordpress as admin and have cache enabled in the browser. But if you open the same website in another browser where you have not logged in as an admin before the website comes up just fine. The only explanation to this behavior I can think is the theme is not behaving properly in your latest version.
