Thanks for the reply. To confirm, I’m not using the Layout builder to create the Blog Posts, but do use it for Pages.

PaulHi Ismael
Quick update. Today I updated to the latest version of the Enfold theme, and all went well.
I then decided to manually install the new Woocommerce update keeping the previous version to roll back to if needed.
All plugins are active and there are no conflicts! Happy days. Thanks again for being available.
Best regards,Hi Ismael, many thanks for the reply and offer of help. I will come back to you shortly, just carving out the time.
– PaulHi Rikard,
Thanks for the reply and confirmation that this is not a known issue.
I’m thinking it is a theme conflict because on both occasions when the Woocommerce install freezes causing the 500 error, disabling the Enfold theme returns access to the site and Admin, after which a different theme can be temporarily chosen. In that stage WordPress is stable, but if I reactivate the Enfold theme on the server, it instantly gives the 500 error.
I also noticed on the Woocommerce Plugin review section today that another user had the same issue. Where the bug exactly lies I’m not sure, but at least it can be repeated, which as you say can be investigated in the logs. The first time it occurred I did ask the Hosting company to review the logs but they didn’t find anything conclusive.
Bit of a mystery really!

November 3, 2019 at 11:07 am in reply to: Search-Form Spam – Javascript being inputted via the search-form #1153480Many thanks Mike, I’ll give those suggestion a try.
Thanks for the reply Rikard.
I haven’t been able to isolate what the issue was, but it has been stable for 24 hours so it seems to have sorted itself out – fingers crossed it stays that way 😊
Best regards
PaulHi again!,
Well now it’s not working again. It was working well for an hour, then the mobile template didn’t. I’ve reactivated the login password as per the first mail – also there is a File Manager plugin if you need to review php files. Thanks in advance for any advice / support you can offer.
Update – I seem to get the issue when I swop languages (but not always!)
Regards

Hi again,
Update – the mobile site is now working correctly! Not exactly sure what changed, but nonetheless all is good. I’ve cancelled the login details for now.
Best regards,

I followed the advice on this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/relevanssi-search-broken-after-update/, including replacing the .php file, amending the filter tip from 4 to 9999, rebuilding the index and clearing the cache – search is working as it was before :-)
Many thanks to everyone at Kriesi for finding the bug and fixing it, and big shout out to https://kriesi.at/support/profile/aerobis/ for following the problem through to conclusion and sharing the results.
Best regards,
PaulOctober 9, 2019 at 10:49 am in reply to: WP caught error in admin-ajax after upgrading to 4.6.2? #1146461Thanks El and Ismael, great investigation and solution seeking. I also use filters in the functions.php, so will await further exploration before committing any changes to class-avia-relevanssi.php. El, thanks also for the additional link.

FYI – I’ve now updated to to 4.6.3 and the search issue remains.

October 3, 2019 at 11:33 am in reply to: WP caught error in admin-ajax after upgrading to 4.6.2? #1144449Thanks Ismael (and Victoria) for the reply. The previous behavior, pre-6.2 update was that on typing in the search box an instant search would list results, so no need to click enter and visit the search page. Using filters in the functions file I was able to populate a well organised list of possible search results. When typing in the search box now, the icon spins, as before, but no results are displayed. Checking the Dev Tools lead me to a 404/500 error relating to jquery / admin/ajax. Prior to the enfold update there was a Relevanssi update and a WP core update, so it’s a bit tough figuring out which one may have affected this functionality – but as I remember, it stop working after the 6.2 update.
If it would help for investigation purposes I can give you Admin access, but would only ask that no changes are made until we discuss the findings – if that’s ok, please confirm and I’ll share access via the Private link.
Many thanks –
PaulSeptember 28, 2019 at 1:35 pm in reply to: WP caught error in admin-ajax after upgrading to 4.6.2? #1142996Hi Ismail,
I also have an an admin-ajax error after upgrading to 4.6.2.
The relevanssi search plugin is not displaying instant searches and in Search Console I get a 500 server error related to Jquery and admin-ajax when typing a search query.Any advice would be appreciated.- thanks.
PaulSure, and thanks.
Hi Yigit, I can see the changes have been applied and all looks good; what an interesting way to solve the riddle, I would never have come up with the solution! I’ll apply the same technique tomorrow for two other sites running the Enfold theme. Thanks for again for your help – Super!
Hi TSommer, I think you’ll need to start your own thread, that seems to be how the support team prefer to handle each of these requests; it may help speed up your resolution of this issue.
Best, Paul. This reply has been marked as private. Thanks meuwessen for the tip – but have tried that a few times, actually on each regeneration of the token, and still get spinning wheel on the Theme update tab. I also get the same error message in the Evanto plugin, so seems that something else is causing the error…
Jordan can you advise further please.
Thanks.
Found a solution to the button missing. Changed the Clear to Not Clear.
