I tried to using the screenshot but I can see why it was not clear. See the image below with no banner.
You can see the gray color section with Jul 13 Jul 22 etc.
Once I activate the banner on the top you can see from my previous screenshot that part of the color section is hidden, I believe because the color section is not adjusting to the height of the banner.
same issue, if you still need a login to look at the issue let me know and i can ping you the details.
I am using IE 9. Square icons would work, but what about the weird characters that show up in my screenshot?
I am using all default icons only.
Also notice blank box in the social area in my screenshot.

I reuploaded here http://imgur.com/yvihZgJI recently upgraded to a server with SSL but the SSL was not activated. I didnt expect it to impact by site in general so thanks for your guidance.
The transparency problem has been taken care of.
However, the problem with ‘asian looking’ characters still remains. This happens only in IE.How do I accomplish this when using child theme? Do I copy paste the same file and only include the specific function? Thanks.
Also, I see that wordpress has been placing auto-created thumbnails with timestamps as recent as 10/15, so I’m guessing that the directory is writable by wordpress.

Devin, Want to understand what you are proposing, if you are talking about changing the portfolio-item shortcode as “products”.
I have a similar situation. I have several courses that I want to build as portfolio items, mainly due to how they present themselves across the theme.Could you tell me how to accomplish this without losing the abilty of displaying it like a portfolio item (portfolio grid, etc.)
I’d like to know how to add more icons to the icon set in the theme as well. Also the recommended size of the images.
