January 27, 2014 at 6:34 pm in reply to: 2 columns grid on category, tags (+ author post & search) #215445
Thanks for the efficient and uber-fast answer, Ismael!
I also changed the value on line 61 of tag.php, everything works great.Regarding question n°2, is there a way to display the author post & search as a 2-col grid as well?

Turns out the problem doesn’t come from Enfold, but it’s a browser issue with Google Chrome, at least with versions 30-31.
Everything runs fine on Firefox.
But on a fresh install of Chrome when there’s a secondary menu on top of the page (I’m on responsive default + boxed layout + fixed header with social icons) the problem appears.- This reply was modified 11 years ago by Shallnotbe.
Regarding issue #2: IT WORKS! :)
Josue, Devin, thanks for your help, once again.Still no idea what went wrong with issue 1, but one issue resolved is already something!
Thanks for your help, Devin.
I followed your instructions.
Unfortunately, nothing changed :/1) Still the ‘0’ before the alternative Contribute text in the grid layout.
Replaced the portion of code. The difference between the code I used (previously given by Dude in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/change-meta-on-grid-blog-posts/) and the one you gave must be very subtle, because I can’t see a difference.2) I tried to change the permalinks several times, or just save the default one +3 time, same issues.
Still a space between the name & surname: domain.com/author/Name%20Surname in the grid layout.Somehow it behaves differently than the meta of the full single articles, where everything runs smoothly, pulling the correct author url (domaine.com/author/name-surname) and the alternative 0 comment code given by Dude works great.
Hi Dude,
Thanks for solving/answering my questions and taking the time to code.
The loop index code works great, it shows the “Contribute” text instead of “0 comments” and I change the date format.
a) The postslider code shows the Author, but it links to the author’s website.
Is there a way to link to the author’s archive like it’s the case in the blog post meta, where it links to http://website.com/author/username/?
b) Still related to the postslider code, the “0 comment” replacement in the grid doesn’t work as flawlessly as in the loop index code.
It shows “0 Contribute” instead of just “Contribute”. Can the “0” be totally removed?
Thanks again. Hope this is not too much questions!
August 23, 2013 at 3:24 pm in reply to: date category author not showing properly in full width blog #137251Had the same issue: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/20-bug-some-content-meta-tag-is-shown-vertically-in-no-sidebar-layout
They fixed it two days ago with the 2.0.1 update, everything is back to normal now.
If it still doesn’t work after the update (it happened to me as I was using a child theme), just switch to another theme, then switch back to your Enfold theme,
August 23, 2013 at 12:35 am in reply to: 2.0 Bug: Some content & meta, tag is shown vertically in 'no sidebar' layout #136320Thanks Devin, Ismael & Kriesi, problem solved.
Didn’t saw the update a few hours before that, sorry.
It didn’t worked right off the bat when using a child theme, which was still messed up even after the 2.0.1,
I had to switch to the regular 2.0.1 Enfold theme (layout is back to normal), and then switch again to my Enfold Child Theme.
So if anybody else still experiences the problem after updating, a switch between themes seems necessary.
August 22, 2013 at 5:49 pm in reply to: 2.0 Bug: Some content & meta, tag is shown vertically in 'no sidebar' layout #136318Hi Ismael,
My website is private, so I can’t show the url here, I sent a email at the kriesi contact page with the details.
However, the problem seems to be widespread and occuring everywhere.
I briefly tested the themes on two other installations, same results and as Jul mentionned, it happens to other people too.
I found where my problem came from.
A plugin I relied heavily on created a 20×20 icon next to “Add Media”, which messed up eveything.
Once this is disabled, it’s back to normal.
I had another plugin which created another 16×16 icon next to “Add Media”, and there’s no problem with it.
So it’s either the size of the icon or the way the faulty plugin was written which causes issues.
I also have this issue: the button is at the right of visual/text.
Happens on two test websites, enfold & wordpress up do date.
When a page already using the avia framework is opened, I can click on Default editor with the regular text… but I can’t click on Advanced layout editor.
Not related to memory limits, as they are set at 256mb.
Anyway, now I’m just using shortcodes. As they are the only way to work on posts, it’s not a bad thing to start using them on pages as well. As some point you get at ease with the syntax and most of the things can be achieved solely with shotcodes in the classic editor…
Thanks Devin!
That solved most of my questions and problems ;)
