SarahHi there!
We’re sorry that you’re frustrated with the General Styling options. :( We’ll try our best to help! :)
Each color option should have a description under it to help you. Additionally, there should be a preview of what your website will look like according to your styling settings. Are either of these not visible to you? If so, please allow us admin access so we can take a look.
We’ve tried to make it so that the color setting titles are self-explanatory, but if you have questions about specific color settings, please let us know which ones those are, and we will try to explain it for you.
Thank you!

SarahJuly 26, 2017 at 2:21 pm in reply to: Probleme Blog Inhalte auf Startseite / Menü dropdown Hintergrund Bild Möglich? #830170Hey meliah_rage,
Our German speaking moderators are currently working on different tasks for a short period of time.
In the meantime, we will use Google translate to translate your question and try to provide you support in English. If you do not mind, please post your questions in English so we can help you quicker :)For the background color of the blog post images, please try adding this code to the Quick CSS section under Enfold > General Styling or to your child theme’s style.css file:
.home .main_color .avia-content-slider .slide-image {background: none !important;}
For the background graphic of the submenu, can you show us a mockup or sample of what you would like to do?
Best regards,
SarahHi,
Can we possibly have admin access to your website so that we can take a closer look?

SarahHey chrishickle87,
There is a widget with the ID text-3 that causes this. Do you know where this came from?
A band aid solution would be to use this in Quick CSS:
#text-3 {display:none !important;}<br>
But it does not really solve the root of the problem. It is best to remove the unneeded widget.If you need help figuring out where the widget came from, please provide us with temporary admin access into your website so we can take a closer look at how your homepage is set up. You may put the login information in the Private Content section of your reply.

SarahGreat. Do you have further questions about this topic, or can we close this thread?

SarahHello!
Please try this in Quick CSS:
.image-overlay{ display: none !important; }
If that doesn’t work, please provide a precise link to your site, showing the elements in question.
Thank you!
Best regards,
SarahHi Karen,
You can try to use
.avia-slide-wrap[data-rel="slideshow-1"]
as your selector.You can read this for reference: https://css-tricks.com/almanac/selectors/a/attribute/
I hope that helps!
Best regards,
SarahHey CearbhallG,
Please try this in Quick CSS:
div .av_one_fifth:not(first) {margin-left:1%;}
The default value is 6%, so you can try any integer from 1 to 5. :)
I hope that helps!

SarahHi,
You can find functions.php through Appearance > Editor in your Dashboard, or in your theme’s folder.
Updates only override files of the parent theme. To avoid your changes to be overwritten, you should use a child theme and place your changes in functions.php of the child theme. This file will be loaded before functions.php of the parent theme. You can also check this detailed answer for more info: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/changes-to-functions-enfold-php/#post-305311
I hope that helps!

Please try this:

And adjust it according to your preference.

For the author name and date, please try this code instead:
