Thanks. That helps.
But I actually just found this. Pretty cool: https://wordpress.org/plugins/call-now-button/
Alternatively, now that I think about it, I could add custom CSS to make the phone number in the top bar bigger, give it a background color with rounded corners and a hover egfect to them it into a tap to call button, I guess. But for now I’ll just use that plugin.
Plus the top bar is too small in non-mobile to be an effective phone number fob a local business. It needs to be bigger. So I put it in the menu with highlighted background color.
ah. sorry. I forgot to enter pw in private section.
And I see the top bar is now black. Are you saying something is wrong with the theme’s custom css editor so that the custom css for the top bar didn’t work when entered there, but it does work when adding it to child theme’s style.css?
And I noticed the the thinner viewport was still there, but then I removed the custom css for the background color of the last menu item, saved and readded it and the viewport problem was gone. Did you work on that issue also, or did the the issue fix itself? Was it the top bar css in the theme’s custom css editor that was breaking the site?
Also, how can I get the font in that last menu item with the phone number to have white text even in the shrunken menu that shows when you scroll down. Currently, all menu items change color as the scroll down because the menu background turns white. This helps the menu items stand out, but that color is ugly against the background color I have set in custom css for the last menu item (phone number). So please help me make the font in ONLY that menu item stay white at all times, even in the shrunken menu after scrolling.
Thanks,

And actually that problem is on all browsers, including FF. I just had my FF window zoomed in and didn’t realize it. That should simply the fix hopefully. Waiting on your answer.
Sorry.

November 25, 2015 at 5:17 pm in reply to: Custom CSS classes for elements now functioning as section id's #542560I copied that code exactly into functions.php but it did nothing.
The issue is that adding a custom class to an column element does not add the (or equivalent) code to the site. I didn’t see it in the source code at all.
When I manually add it in a text element, then you can see it in the source code, but even with the code you gave me, it still doesn’t scroll there. It just pops there. You can see this for the #afc link on that page now. I manually added it with text quick link afc text
Did I enter the code wrong into functions.php ?
I actually tried that already, but it didn’t work either. That is the css there now. you can see it has no effect at all.
Additionally, I just noticed the the css to give a menu item a background color is changing the view port in Chrome and IE to be much smaller. In Firefox, the page still has the default wide viewport, but with the following css, the viewport gets much smaller in Chrome and IE (the content area of the site is much thinner).
Can you please help me solve this problem. It’s very strange.

Sure. Here it is:
http://173.254.96.214/~ronspubh/
There’s a way to accomplish this in the slider also, but I’d rather do it from the theme so that I don’t have to add custom classes to the slider elements for each layer in every slider.
Thanks
I’m sorry. I was looking at the advanced styling options for text items, and assumed it would be the same for menu items. I was wrong. I see how it works now. Thanks
Ah I learned something new. It’s not my fb page though. It’s for a client, so I’ll ask them about this.
Thanks. That helped with the custom menu background color, but not with the top bar background color. I want to make it black, so I added:
#top #header_meta {
background: black;
}But that did not change the background color of the top bar.
Also, what is the css to add a text shadow to top level menu items, but not submenu items. I was able to add it to all menu items, but not to top level only. Can you please help with this also?
November 25, 2015 at 3:43 pm in reply to: Custom CSS classes for elements now functioning as section id's #542481I can’t use grid rows or color sections because I have a sidebar.
I can just add the quick link manually in a text box with , but then when I click on anchor, that doesn’t scroll smoothly down to id like it does when the id is in a color section. It just pops there automatically.
So how can I get it to scroll smoothly there like it does on a color section?
I created the custom class option option using the code in functions.php from http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/ but it’s not working when used for a quick link.
See http://173.254.96.214/~ronspubh/football/
The button at the top that says AFC Schedules has this link: http://173.254.96.214/~ronspubh/football/#afc
I gave a 1/1 column the custom class “afc”. I assumed this would also act as a section ID like in the color section, since the article at http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/turn-on-custom-css-field-for-all-alb-elements/ was referenced in response to a forum post about adding section ID’s to other elements.
But it appears it is not working like that at all. Does it only give the element a custom css class, but not a section ID that can be used in a #section-id quick link?
If so, how can I add section id’s to other elements so that I can make quick link that scroll down the page like when doing so with a color section?
Thanks,

November 25, 2015 at 5:02 am in reply to: How to use widget area for sidebar with full width elements #542108Drake,
I understand, but that doesn’t appear to work for me either. At the top of the page I have a header section in a Color Section with an image background and H1 text for page title. It appears that using a widget in a right 1/4 column below the header’s Color Section is placing the widget’s sidebar above the top of page Color Section with the header in it.
Additionally, the content that I would need to place in the left 3/4 column is comprised of other layouts and content elements, but they won’t fit into a 3/4 column. So I guess that means I’d just need to use the shortcodes of the visual editor to add 4 1/4 columns into a 3/4 column. is that correct, or will that count as a nested column that this theme does not appear to support?
It It doesn’t appear that I can place a grid element into a color section for column element at all. Is that correct?
But that only let’s me make changes for and <h1> – <h6>, not just to change the background and font color for normal menu text.
Also, is there a theme option to increase font size of menu items, or can that only be done in custom css?
sorry for delay. Yes that code fixed it.
ah. strange. must have been an accident on my part
Related, is there a way in them options to change the css of the submenu drop down item?. I just did with custom css because I couldn’t find a theme option for it.
Dake,
Thanks, but how did text get in there? All I did was upload a png in the logo part of theme options
Sure. In private content.
Rikark,
Sorry for the delayed reply. I actually don’t need to change those colors anymore.
Thanks. I found some alternatives, but like you said, I think it’s just the font that puts that extra space.
Thanks. I’ll update theme now.
November 16, 2015 at 10:00 pm in reply to: Sidebar being forced below the content of the rest of the page #536898Ah OK thanks.
I don’t really have time to make a mock up, but I think I like the plain white background with red menu buttons there by default for now. I’ll let you know if I need further help here.
Thanks,
RobThanks. But I’ve since decided it looks better as without the full width slider, but if I change my mind, I’ll use that css.
Actually ´ is described on that page as acute accent – spacing acute
So it appears it does indeed carry a space. I’ll try another character, but there is nothing on that page called “apostrophe”.
November 16, 2015 at 4:56 pm in reply to: Sidebar being forced below the content of the rest of the page #536639Elliot,
It appears it happens when using a full width widget in a my layout, which is the vertical menu in the left sidebar. When inserting the full width rev slider, or even the full width button widget, that pushes the right sidebar below the other page content. Then I have to remove all full width elements, resave and refresh for everything to go back to normal.
Have you seen this issue with enfold before?
thanks!
