I’ve created a forum with both bbPress and BuddyPress, using Enfold.
April 25, 2018 at 12:55 am in reply to: Do I need still use the bwp-minify plugin after update 4.3 enfold? #946306Grades mean nothing. You need to look primarily at the page load time.
You’ll need to do your own testing and make this determination as everyone’s environment is different.
Happy to help if you have further optimization questions.
Couldn’t agree more Jason. The things they do choose to bring front and center (e.g. ” WooCommerce DE Erweiterung für Kriesi Themes”) is baffling to me. Stuff that’s 3 years old? Really?
I’d also like to see some transparency around update releases. We were going to see 4.2.7 earlier, but that got pushed back to “the first two weeks of April” and now that time has also passed. It’s pretty common to also list what’s on the horizon (i.e. Coming Soon). It doesn’t have to be promises, but man…just let people know what’s coming down the road.
Transparency silences a ton.
My only suggestion here is that this information should be centralized and simplified, via a checklist. Having people dig through Github and figure out how to get the plugin implemented is not going to be followed. Enfold users are either not on Github, have never heard of it, or simply won’t go there.
What I’d like to see\have is the ability to contribute to a document library or the existing document library. The more we can refer users to documentation, the more we can keep the boards clean for real support issues.
Yoast is the best. All SEO plugins struggle with page builders. Just Google the topic. As an SEO service provider, Yoast is what we roll out.
Hello. You can add the following line to your CSS. However, if you actually need the fonts to be available from within a “picker”, I would just Google “Enfold google fonts”. There are tons of posts about it.
@import url(https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Open+Sans:600,700, 800);

@set70 – What worked for me was to completely remove Enfold via FTP and upload a fresh copy. Just make sure you have the child theme in place and activated.Ryan
Good to close this thread. Here is the short answer for anyone following along.
1. With the Enfold Child theme active, delete the Enfold theme.
2. Upload a fresh copy via FTP (Note: Overwriting Enfold with a copy of the theme is not enough. Delete and add back from scratch.)You’re welcome. Yeah, TLS will get resolved by your host.
Hello. Using a dev environment, I created a brand new install of WP and imported a backup of one of the “broken” sites. Before importing the backup, there were no issues. As soon as I imported the backup, the issues were replicated. My next steps…
1. Removed all custom CSS. Tested. No change.
2. Removed custom entries from functions.php. Tested. No change.
3. Deactivated all plugins. Tested. No change.
4. Removed all plugins. Tested. No change.
5. Switched theme from Enfold Child to Enfold. Tested. No change. Switched back.
6. Removed all Enfold themes.
7. Installed Enfold and Enfold Child Themes. Everything works!Completely at a loss as to why a brand new site would require this.
Hello. Run https://www.whynopadlock.com/ against your site. It will tell you exactly which images (or other elements) need to be changed to give you a 100% secure HTTPS connection. For images, if you don’t have too many, you can manually remove the HTTP versions and upload new. New images will pick up HTTPS automatically going forward. If you have a bunch of images that need swapping, I recommend the Enable Media Replace plugin, which will preserve your filenames, alt text, etc…
No, you will not lose “juice”. The HTML is still there behind the scenes. It’s no different than hiding something on mobile or hiding something on desktop. As Rikard says, the crawlers will find what they need to find.
Hey SuperSportsUAE. I have a WordPress optimization business and I use Enfold for most sites. Here are some super simple guides I wrote, covering caching, CDNs, etc. As a quick note, unless you are producing content like the big players (Wikipedia, Reddit, etc.), I recommend you not worry about AMP, as it can do you more harm than good. I also do SEO and the biggest names in the business will tell you AMP should mostly be avoided.
Feel free to reach out with questions.

https://wpturnedup.com/optimize-wordpress-websites/Hello. Enable the Advanced Layout Editor. Set up a 3/4 column and a 1/4 column. In the 3/4 column, insert the Blog Posts element and configure it as needed. In the 1/4 column, add the Widget element and then configure it as needed.
April 14, 2018 at 7:33 pm in reply to: Problems with the contact form after updating enfold 4.2.6 #942023Fresh installs of 4.2.6 on 3-5 different sites without caching or any other plugins and these issues are there with contact forms and other elements. Desperately waiting for 4.2.7, as I’ve had clients jump all the way back to 4.2.3…the most stable version I’ve found in my testing.
AMP should not be used yet, unless you have content similar to the likes of Wikipedia, New York Times, Reddit, etc. Otherwise, you are doing more harm than good.
Hi Christa. These may help. They are super simple to follow guides and I use Enfold across all sites. Let me know if you have any questions.

Not only are buttons not formatting correctly, now alignment is not working. If I say “align center”, it stays left. AGAIN, brand new site, with no caching, 1-2 plugins, barely any CSS.
@yigit – Hey man. Can you look at this? I have 3, brand new sites with basic features not working. I was hoping 4.2.7 was the answer, but I see it yet again not being delivered. Also, all buttons are screwed up for this site. This is out of the box stuff Enfold.
April 13, 2018 at 2:45 pm in reply to: Issues with… WordPress 4.9.4 // Enfold Version 4.2.6. // Woocommerce 3.3.4 #941520Got it. Good to go.
This was a fresh install of Enfold 4.2.6 on a brand new site, so these steps should apply.
Please note there was a typo on my end with the URL. I’ve updated it.
Good to go! Appreciate ya ‘007. ; )
Thank you for chiming in. Unfortunately, that changes the transparent header on all pages.
Hi. Looks like we’re good to go on this particular issue, but how do apply shortcodes now? I added another shortcode to a brand new 4.2.6 site and the buttons broke there as well.
Not sure how to proceed here.
Really appreciate the explanation. Good to go!
Enfold – I went back to 4.2.3 by completely removing the theme via FTP and uploading a fresh copy. My site is still screwed up.
Okay. I’m not sure if “bug” is\was the correct word, but why this works when the diagonal border is below a section with a background image (see “Who We Are” section) as opposed to above a section with a background image (see “How We Do It” section), is still confusing to me. Seems like it should not work entirely or work entirely.
Sorry, still doesn’t make sense to me. You have the credentials. Please show me how to fix this. Whatever you want to call that WHITE AREA, it needs to not be there and the background image needs to show through. Thanks!
