  • …. I mean wrongly downloaded FLATICON as svg …. this gives individual svg files which doesn’t work

i think I’ve cracked this persistent issue after posting the same issue a few weeks ago

upload the flaticon ICONFONT , Unzip, in the folder find the flaticon.svg …. drag the single flaticon.SVG (contains all the icons chosen) into Fontello, download Webfont and upload the .zip using enfold import icons, and save.

I wrongly downloaded Fontello as svg …. this gave the boxes.

Hope others find this useful, it took me hours,

    Richard

in reply to: Problem adding fontello icons on Enfold 3.7 #717425

    Hi

I thought I would second this issue …. I’ve been trying for around a month to upload Fontello icons and get exactly the same screenshot tichase shows … despite clearing all Caches and waiting a few days. I submitted a post around three weeks ago about this that’s the issue was not resolved. hopefully it can be, I’ll keep an eye out for any replies. Exact same process, black and white only compatible icons

in reply to: position of button on fullscreen slider #714206

    Hi

Please see the website on the private content.

?how to move the button on fullscreen slider either “up” ??

It’s the main full screen slider
(I’ve had a lot of issues with this not showing since creating it a week ago – other posts refer to problems with fullpage slider so hopefully 4.9 will sort it out – I’ve done everything other than re-upload the theme via FTP).

    Many thanks

in reply to: change position of button or icon in color section #712787

    Hi Nikko

    Many thanks indeed.

    Sorry one final question please

To move the .special heading again on the home page main picture?

    Currently use this CSS av-special-heading h1 { padding-bottom: 300px !important; }

I use this CSS but unfortunately it causes a large padding on every heading throughout the theme.

Anyhow, woudl rather use ” relative position” rather than padding.

    Many thanks

I mean change the vertical position as in – moving up or down.

    Sorry about the confusion.

in reply to: Uploading flaticon issue – black squares #712265

    Ah!!!! many thanks :-)

in reply to: Uploading flaticon issue – black squares #712254

    Hi

The icon is black, linear, and when I import , say, around 10 of them that appear similar – half are not useable.

The follow on question is – how do you know which are available as iconfont, and which are not?
    (Before uploading them)

If there’s no way of telling, then I guess you upload a whole load and make a note of which are usable and then delete the lot – and restart the process with only the usable ones. This is very laborious!

    Thanks

in reply to: Uploading flaticon issue – black squares #711860

    Hi Ismael

    Here’s an example:

    http://www.flaticon.com/free-icon/smartphone_149390

Download SVG, drag into fontello custom icons, download webfont, upload enfold iconfront manager … but it appears only as a black square within the icon box.

Around half of the logos do this, the others are fine.

    Thanks for looking into this.

    Hi fromcouch

thanks for raising this issue – I thought I should “second” the issue.

So, having used enfold themes on some sites for around 3 years I suddenly get a lot of soft 404 errors for pages ending in /*?s= that appear on google console/webmaster tools.

I will try adding the disavow to the robots file.

However, any idea why this has suddenly become an issue – sometime in the last few weeks.

in reply to: Caption Text Font Size + fullscreen slider + mobile #672921

Hi please see the login details

On Iphone, for example, the fullscreen slider text font is tiny.

I have 4 other websites and will find the solution very helpful.

I wonder if others would have the same problem – clearly, mobile phone screens are very small but the font size of the caption is smaller than paragraph font.

    Many Thanks indeed.

in reply to: Caption Text Font Size + fullscreen slider + mobile #672347

Sorry guys this doesn’t work either

please double check this should work for the fullscreen slider ….

I’ve flushed all caches, used new flushed browser and preview mode etc.

in reply to: Caption Text Font Size + fullscreen slider + mobile #670574

    Hi

This doesn’t seem to work – I’ve flushed all caches.

Is this specifically for the “fullscreen slider” ?

What I did notice is that both the “caption title” and “Caption text” became the same size although, oddly, the font size isn’t 20 (or 38 etc.)

Ideally I’d be able to change both “caption title” and “caption text” font size

    Thanks!

    Thanks that works perfectly !!

    Hi Andy

In both sites, there are 2 x 3 rows of masonry on the home page – near the bottom (eg. hepatitis A etc)

There is large white font overlay.

The images are too dark, and I’d like the images (WITHOUT hover) to be their normal appearance … without a grey opacity.

However, there needs to be some sort of change on hover – I thought I’d try making them darker on hover.

Please send across some quick CSS to do both of these things, and I’ll play with it!

    Thanks

in reply to: Dates on Google Snippets #662406

    Hi Vinay

Sorry for the delay in getting back.
I turned off toast dates snippets jn the hope that dates would be removed from the google-crawl.

You may be wondering why I posted this to you -the lead-on question is really

What dates does Enfold use in its “automated Schema.org HTML Markup”
    – is this date originally posted
    – date modified
    – where can I find this code and I’ll ask my developer to see if we can change it

    thanks

    Richard

in reply to: Crawling Errors 500 #481073

    Hi Kylerollins

“Glad to hear I’m not the only one who has been hitting his head up against this… Its happening on all my Enfold sites and I’m constantly going back and forth between blocking robots.txt folders so they don’t throw up errors, then getting other errors because resources in those folders are blocked.”

    Yes , exactly the same

I’ve allowed access to everything but get a 500 on
    wp-content/themes/enfold/

I wonder Kriesi / Rikard if there is a generic solution that is updated from previous forums such as
    https://kriesi.at/support/topic/issue-with-indexing-of-theme-on-google/
And this is definitely inaccurate advice now: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/what-can-i-exclude-in-robots-txt/

Google have changed so up to date advice on what to allow and disallow would be great – perhaps a cut and paste.

    cheers

    Richard

in reply to: Crawling Errors 500 #480008

    Hi
This is an issue that I’ve been going around in circles with my developer for some months now.

Has anyone managed to get consistently Zero issues on google webmaster tools using enfold (blocked resources, 500 errors on crawl, no crawl errors other than the usual fixable ones through redirects etc)?

Hope you don’t mind me asking, but is Kriesi support fully aware of google webmaster tools ? It’s just that I’ve followed every change there is from past forums and robot settings previously recommended do not work – I’ve tried the lot!

** I thought a separate article on setting robots would be very helpful – as previous references to yoast really don’t help, it’s theme- specific :-) ** All previous forum replies give different settings.

it really seems to be causing a lot of people a lot of headaches

    Thanks guys

    Richard

    Hi Ismael

    Yes it’s already on 3.1.3

    Thanks for looking into it

sorry forgot to add i’ve tried disabling plugins

in reply to: Pages not loading on editor #318416

    Hi

“But after updating the theme to the new version the pages still not load when trying to edit, I get an endless spinning wheel.”

    Same for me

Also, I am unable to change any widgets (the column 1 ,2,3 etc. can’t be edited … not “clickable”)

I find bugs like this happen from time to time and usually wait for a fix from either a plugin, wordpress or enfold … it’s been like this around 10 days or so since upgrade to wordpress (around same time upgrade to latest yoast and themes plugins) … I’ve got both most recent enfold updates, wordpress update, and have turned off all plugins …

looks as though lots of issues reported recently … I guess there is a known issue by now??

    Cheers

    Richard
