Hi Peter,

Many thanks for your reply.

I tried your code change, and the expected url contained within the custom field was not applied. Instead received

<a href="Array"><img /></a>

Seems to see the external_url as an array. Hmm … Any thoughts appreciated.

FIXED
I found that the visual editor often duplicates CR/LF and other elements when saving. I edited out the duplicates and the button then acted as expected.

I FOUND IT!!!

The fault was ALL MINE. The version upgrade fixed the buttons and now I fixed my thinking :) All is well. Apologies fo my error.

I have to say that I was REALLY IMPRESSED that Kriesi released the WP Layerslider update within 24 hours. It’s the HIGH standard of the support team that make the products such a pleasure to use.

Don’t know what’s been happening here. But now it’s WORKING!! Maybe something was added in the latest version?

Hi Devin,

I just did this and tried both Firefox and Chrome browsers on my box. Nothing changed.

OK, so the customer does not know that there are other choices apart from the sliders arriving from the right. So it’s not a show stopper. But, it should work, so any other thoughts you may have would be much appreciated. Meanwhile I’ll re-start the plugins.

Ooops! Found that the page in question had the footer settings taking precedence over the general settings. Don’t know how that got set.

Many thanks for your reply. I’ve been experimenting with W3 total cache this week to see if using that, in conjunction with MaxCDN, could make a significant difference. I agree that the results are very promising.

It’s ironic that Google, whos own page speed tester complains, along with gtmetrix, about static page query strings and missing image dimensions, has exactly those faults within its own apis. LOL

Guess the ‘net will always be a bunch of dispirate technologies all fighting to play together, due to its very nature. Who’d be a web designer? :)

MANY THANKS Yigit! BJ Lazy Loader was really screwing everything up. Including the animations on my Layerslider which I have been working on locally with the same setup.

Yes, they display OK on your phone.
