I am looking for a workaround to be able to load the fonts from a CDN….Where to we stand on this?
September 3, 2020 at 4:00 am in reply to: Adjusting JPEG compression via functions.php file (works only in theme file!) #1242964av_return_100 to change the JPEG quality no long works in Enfold Version 4.7.6.3. When I was using 4.7.3 it worked as advertised. Can someone look at this and let me know what is the work around?
Update: You need to set the priority to 999 for it to work. While this is a work around there is an error that was introduced between the two version that is preventing the function.php filter from working at default priority.

February 21, 2020 at 4:49 am in reply to: Cookie (Consent) & Woocommerce Cart still exists 😱 – Things to consider #1186601You can close this thread out. You have two options that cover the scenarios we are looking for: Accept All Cookies on Page Load, Accept Essential Cookies on Page Load.
Since we are unclear if the Essential Cookies also cover cookies for plugins other than woocommerce, we are using option #1: Accept ALL Cookies on Page Load.

I think one can get too carried away with strictness of GDPR….and it is implementation isn’t always well defined.
OK, I will checkout the version 4.7.3 and let you know what I find in about 5-6 days.February 11, 2020 at 3:40 am in reply to: Cookie (Consent) & Woocommerce Cart still exists 😱 – Things to consider #1183322@basilis – Is this version 4.7.2?
After I send this email, I looked at all the plugins that set cookies and we have the following first party cookies: Woocommerce, WP Affiliates, Subscription Popups and Enfold cookies. I will check out the option to see if this work with all the plugins….
However, I would suggest your development team take a hard look at how Enfold is used by clients….and to do what. Nothing should break the site functionality by default.

February 7, 2020 at 5:12 am in reply to: Google Analytics/Privacy Settings do not work after upgrade to 4.7.2 #1182236Thanks for looking into this. After investigating this further we discovered that some of the file permissions when uploading the theme were messed up. We have corrected them and everything seem to work normally now.
You can go ahead and close this thread out.
February 3, 2020 at 2:17 pm in reply to: Google Analytics not tracking after Enfold theme update #1180929@ismael – I have used first option….and this option does not work as well. I will create a new thread with this issue.
January 31, 2020 at 9:55 pm in reply to: Google Analytics not tracking after Enfold theme update #1180425Here is the report on 4.7.2 –
- Google Scripts when added through function.php work just fine.
- Google Scripts when added through Enfold > Google Services tab does NOT work. I see almost zero traffic with it
.
Another issue with 4.7.2 is that once deleted, I cannot add buttons on my Privacy Notification. In other words the + Button on the privacy notification does nothing. I can add buttons with 4.6.3.1 with EXACTLY the same plugin configuration.

January 31, 2020 at 3:55 pm in reply to: Google Analytics not tracking after Enfold theme update #1180285I have inserted the code using Enfold > Google Services panel tab. I also have FB Script on the same box.
FYI: I also have Autooptimize running with following setting on JS scripts: Aggregate all linked JS-files to have them loaded non-render blocking.Let me know if this is the proper way to do it.
I am about to upgrade the enfold theme to the latest version and run the test.
January 29, 2020 at 3:34 pm in reply to: Google Analytics not tracking after Enfold theme update #1179447@Vinay – I will insert the code using the documentation and upgrade to 4.7.2 and let you know if this is working or not later this week.
January 27, 2020 at 4:07 pm in reply to: Google Analytics not tracking after Enfold theme update #1178733January 27, 2020 at 3:43 pm in reply to: Google Analytics not tracking after Enfold theme update #1178723We are on the live site…so we reverted back to the Version 4.6.3.1 which was stable and working. Temporary disabling the plugin on the live site is NOT an option or a good way to debug.
Here are my visitors per google analytics for last 2 weeks. We average about 1500 visitors a day. After upgrade to version 4.7.x on Jan 25th the traffic went down to near 0. I restored the older version on Jan 26th (late in the day) and the traffic patterns would be normal again.

I can give you access to the staging site with version 4.7.x for you to look at if you like.

January 26, 2020 at 4:46 pm in reply to: Please Stop Enfold Generating So Many Images Sizes for Every Image #1178509Yes…I realize that.
This is because your layout team has decided to have several different ratio and image sizes. Perhaps it is time to standardize the layout on one or two ratios. This will allow you to consolidate images between magazine, portfolio, feature images and other displays. This will allow you to balance size, speed by cropping image on the fly (Overflow: hidden or something similar).
So what happens when you come out with a new layout element? Another image size? This is not a good long term strategy to follow. You need to make more efficient use of resources if you want to support large blog and website like ours.

January 26, 2020 at 4:24 pm in reply to: Google Analytics not tracking after Enfold theme update #1178506I have the same issue….This was not the case before the upgrade. My site does not have a cookie consent so nothing should have changed. Please provide a fix for this ASAP.
Until then where can I find the older version of the theme to revert back?

January 25, 2020 at 1:40 am in reply to: Please Stop Enfold Generating So Many Images Sizes for Every Image #1178243This is a serious issue for Enfold them for large sites like ours who have several hundred blog post each with multiple images. The amount of space taken up by the images on our system is almost up to 10GB.
You need to rethink how you create images for Enfold. Perhaps a better approach is to use few standard sizes and ratios across all media elements.
It is a shame…a bit or research would have shown this to be incredibly easy to add. The article I linked shows just how simple it is to add this functionality into Enfold theme. This is such an elegant edition to Enfold theme with minimal effort.
Here is the implementation using ReCaptcha Version 2: Sample Blog Post with Google ReCaptcha V2 Comments
You can close this one…4.5.6 seem to resolve the issue.
Please close this….I am still investigating the root cause. It may be another plugin.
Close this topic please…I think I understand what is going on now.
Thanks…I will look at it.
Hello Kriesi? Anyone have a chance to look at this?
Here is another test case where 4 thumbnails sizes are bigger then the original image.
Resized Thumbnails
@Basilis, Agreed…and yes I will wait for the correct fix. You guys have a great theme and we have recommend it to several users. ;)
@Ismael,
I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish by making the iframe non-responsive with the above code. Not only this not fix the problem…it makes the video frame completely messed up when user resize the window. Here is the results: http://visualwilderne.staging.wpengine.com/test-chrome-resize (hosted on WPengine)
I would love to see the meta options for the archive page be an option in Enfold Config….or at least an option to do it via function.php instead of modifying the theme files.
I have disabled the caching and minimization on my staging site at:
http://visualwilderne.staging.wpengine.com/test-chrome-resize (hosted on WPengine)I tried your suggestions (and have tried others as well) to modify the CSS Property of the Vimeo Player within the iFrame. It does not work. The issue I think (not 100% sure) is that the closed toggles are not getting the resize or load event correctly from Chrome (or at correct time).
@Basilis, Thanks!!
I would appreciate an early fix (even if I have to replace a file in my child theme) because our business needs this.
Question: Default Tab Behavior changes from Tab to Toggle on smaller screen: Is there a way to change that break point using some quick code in Function.php? This way I can have my old pages change to TAB on screens below 990px to the tablet users to view the videos in large size without going full screen.
- This reply was modified 6 years, 10 months ago by Jay.
No…this does not fix the issue. Everything render correctly when the page comes up.
Here are few things that will help you narrow down the problem:
__The problem is easily seen in chrome in Inactive Toggles. So if you resize the browser then go to an inactive toggle the video size will be wrong.
__The problem show most readily when the page resizes…and ONLY in Chrome Browser.
__This is also NOT an issue with Tab Element….Just with Accordian element.
__Additionally the video sometimes fails to go full screenMy best guess is that the accordian element wrapper is different then the tab element wrapper.
Thanks.

We get 5000 Visitors a day…and several of them emailed me informing that the links to the website were not working correctly. So we removed the tab section element. Visitor complains is not something we take lightly….and cannot have this active.
You can debug the page on your demo site…it works exactly the same way. My post from Dec 6, explains what the problem is. If you cannot figure out why a visitor would complain about broken links, I suggest that you, @kriesi or another designer contact me directly via email and I can explain exactly what the problem is.
Thanks.
