I modified the page in private content by adding a period at the end of the paragraph and it works fine.
I also tried to modify the About page and thought it wasn’t changing until I noticed that it was picking up elementor, is this the issue you are referring?
If not, can you give us steps on how we can reproduce the issue?

@mb, I tried to add the code in your child theme but it’s not writeable, please add it to your child theme’s functions.php code.

With WordPress 5.5, some sites are having this issue but most of it are caused by some plugin which has some incompatibility with WP major update.
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
3. Click ” Create New “.
4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
   ( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
5. Click ” Submit “.
6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

You are still using Enfold 4.7.5, please update to the latest version (4.7.6.3).
I noticed that you’re token is restricted, please make sure the token have the following permissions:

• View and search Envato sites (checked by default)
• View your Envato account username
• View your email address
• View your account profile details
• Download your purchased items
• Verify purchases of your item
• List purchases you’ve made

And you should be able to update to the latest version and fix the issue with ALB.

Hi Jason,

A lot of sites are having issues after updating to WordPress 5.5 which is not very much surprising because it’s a major update.

Wordpress 5.5 and Enfold 4.7.6.3 had some issues with masonry pagination breaking but with revolution slider as well, you’ll have this issue: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/alb-bug-when-slider-revolution-active-space-character-does-not-work-in-fields/ these issues are currently being addressed. I would suggest you to rollback with WordPress 5.4.2, then have a staging site where you test updates.

Please use the latest version of Enfold (4.7.6.3) since it contains patches for WordPress 5.5.
Since you are still using Enfold 3.6.1, you can update via theme options because Envato has already stopped using API key for update and are now using tokens.

Please download the latest version of Enfold from themeforest and I would suggest following Rikard’s instruction in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/upgrade-10/ on how to update your theme.

Then register the theme as recommended in our documentation https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/ so you can fully update the theme via theme options next time.

I found this error in the web console:

google-author-link-admin.js?ver=1.5:37 Uncaught TypeError: $(...).live is not a function

Please deactivate this plugin Google Author Link which is causing the issue and the Advanced Layout Builder should work again.

Do you have a revolution slider on your site? if, yes you may need to temporarily disable it when modifying content.
Our team has already contacted the RevSlider team for this issue.

Envato has already stopped using API key for update and are now using tokens that’s why you can’t see any update.
The patch was added in Enfold 4.6 and the latest release is 4.7.6.3. Maybe you can request for the web development company to download the latest version and request them to generate a token that you can use for theme update.
Here’s how you can generate an Envato token: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and make sure the token have the following permissions:
