Hi Mike – thanks for your attention to this – I have experimented with ramping the bottom margin of the section in question all the way down to -120px, after which some invisible section that is there covers over the section below.
Anyway, I expect the site will go live soon and then I can give you proper access to the back end to have a look. So let’s put a pin in this for now. Thanks.
Hi Mike,
Sorry about that – I guess it’s because the SSL has not been correctly generated yet. The site can be viewed here:
https://564bf5b009c54d527ba2645f0674f10e.p.myukcloud.com/training-programmes
and the back end can of course be viewed with /wp-admin but please do not edit the site using the preview URL as this tends to break the DB.If you could just let me know what action to take based on what you find, that’d be great.
The preview link lasts 24 hours so I will renew it tomorrow at the same time as posting this today.- This reply was modified 1 year, 4 months ago by nestormakhno.
Hi there – the bottom margin change made a *small* difference but changing it below -150px means that a hite area covered the section below. I suppose I could increase the Z-index of the section below but I would prefer to know what this area is (see attached picture) – this is what appears to be causing the problem. How can I get rid of that div

width="100%" height="370px"
as the best solution.Thanks – this seems to be solved.
June 6, 2023 at 7:14 am in reply to: Video shortcode in iFrame not behaving in expected manner in column. #1409726Hi Ismael, for some reason it has to have the www as a prefix – so the site is : https://www.dandelionlearning.co.uk/training/
My apologies.

Thanks, Victoria :)
Thank you Victoria – out of interest, what did you do?
It’s OK – I needed a quick resolution so I just restored a server back-up – please close this thread.

Many thanks Victoria – i completely missed that field – it was under about 3 metres of Yoast :)
This half worked, thanks – I had to KO the category at the top by adding:
.html_elegant-blog #top .post-entry .blog-categories {
display: none;
}I wonder if there is any way of just ensuring that the CSS is not even called. I notice Enfold does seem to have a lot of redundant CSS appearing on page load.
I have set it as admin and renewed the link for the next 24 hours (hopefully)
Hi there – sorry for the delayed response. Have been trying (unsuccessfully, so far) to get the domain name pointed at my server.
It will hopefully happen soon, but in the meantime below is a temp link, that will expire in 24 hours.

Hi Victoria.
I pretty much sorted the prob myself… it was caching issues.
For reference, the site is https://kernowdesign.com
OK – it may have been a caching problem, or me adding #top to the custom CSS
#top .avia-button
As regards the border – easiest for me to change it to match the bg.- This reply was modified 5 years, 7 months ago by nestormakhno.
Many thanks Mike – I think i will leave it with Jetpack lazy Load on unless other issues occur.
Hi Mike – I have recently migrated to a new server – try the following details, please…

Thanks Victoria, that helps.
I notice a very interesting thing with Chrome auto-complete: as well as completing the details it also copies in styling info, as you can see in the first 4 fields of this form. Is there any way of preventing that?
In case you need to login, I have set a user on the site that I migrated to my new server. Please note that it is a recent migrate so if you don’t see the colourful version of my site then please use the IP for a hosts file.

April 17, 2019 at 9:55 am in reply to: Contact submit button stuck on 'Authenticating' with Captcha v3 #1091882Hi Guys – so the migrate is complete. Some caches are being very slow to reflect this so use a hosts file to point to my IP if you see the black and white version of the site (still sitting on wordpress.com) not the colourful version (on my server)
April 16, 2019 at 10:49 am in reply to: Contact submit button stuck on 'Authenticating' with Captcha v3 #1091368Hi there – Currently my site is migrating from WP.com to my own server, so I will have to wait for the DNS to point at the new host. I will notify you as soon as that happens.
Thanks for your patience.
April 15, 2019 at 9:47 am in reply to: Contact submit button stuck on 'Authenticating' with Captcha v3 #1090891Hi Ismael – Thanks, the site was added to google admin, as was the contact email I wanted to use. The only issue now is that someone… a.atomicsites.net appears to handling the mailserver side of things and it is not working. As I said, I am leaving wp.com’s hosting soon (I assume atomicsites.net is connected to them) so hopefully that will be the end of this problem (for me at least – any other clients of yours that use WP are possibly in trouble)
April 14, 2019 at 2:13 pm in reply to: Contact submit button stuck on 'Authenticating' with Captcha v3 #1090617Hi Rikard,
I actually noticed that the contact form does not appear to be sending an email to the recipient addresses, though the sender does get a “Thanks for your message” response. I am wondering if this is due to the fact that wordpress handles site emails through its servers. (see screenie highlight)
TBH I have had enough of WP’s hosting and am in the process of migrating to my own server. At that point a lot of the issues I have had (log-ins etc,) will hopefully be a thing of the past.
I will not pursue this issue until I have migrated; if it still happens I will raise a new ticket/start a new thread.

That works fine.

April 12, 2019 at 12:02 pm in reply to: Contact submit button stuck on 'Authenticating' with Captcha v3 #1090043..anyway – the upshot of my conversation with the happiness engineer (lol) is this…
is it mandatory for all users’ accounts to go through wordpress.com on any WP site, or just those which are hosted by you?
WP = Only sites that are hosted on WordPress.com
Right – well, sadly the simple solution to the problem seems clear
WP = To learn about the differences between the two versions of WordPress (.com and .org), please see this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
OK – well that is really annoying as, thru spending a lot of money on .com hosting and it is actually preventing me from doing stuff which is very easy with the wordpress.org version
WP = On WordPress.com is more easier, as you just add existing username and you don’t need to administer their accounts, reset their passwords, or manage security and roles. This is all done by them on their accounts.
So it looks like the only way around this is to switch my hosting and use the WP.org version or for you guys to give me an email address to which you actually have access (or the username of an existing WP.com account) so I can add/invite you.
So could you please provide me with a username or email, so that I can do this…
Inviting Contributors, Followers, and ViewersI’m hoping this will bring an end to this problem.
