solved this.
March 15, 2017 at 8:34 pm in reply to: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class avia_instagram_widget in #761602I have other functions in my child functions.php and I have a few custom templates so I would prefer to keep my child theme as it is.
My goal was to make a few modifications to the “Enfold Child Latest News:” widget since I need it to behave a bit differently when it shows posts of category “research” than it does when I show posts of category “news” (specifically – no date for research)

March 1, 2017 at 6:32 pm in reply to: remove margins from left and right side of pages and posts #753857this works great …. except there is white space below the sidebar if the sidebar is not as long as the post content. Is there a way to make the sidebar reach to the bottom of the page?
February 21, 2017 at 1:55 pm in reply to: remove margins from left and right side of pages and posts #749955the entire site please.
I commented out line 691 of functions-enfold.php
// echo $avia_config[‘analytics_code’];
and the problem ceased, but I am sure that is not the right way to solve this! I would appreciate your input.
oh dear – it is still there… Can you please take another look?
thanks. can you tell me what you did? What caused it? I’ve not seen it before…
yay! fixed my problem! thanks.
I tried that initially. I cannot drag it into the color section. It just won’t stay…
Masonry STOPPED WORKING too…
the plugin works for the category listing, which is basic wordpress functionality, but not for the magazine listing, which is a custom construct of the Enfold theme. I think that you would know best how to make the magazine listing take notice of the post ordering that basic wordpress features understand.
on apple ipad landscape (1024) the menu overwrites the logo. How can I increase the switch number to 1026 instead of 990?
i did set it to “activate for Smartphones and Tablets”
but I still getting full menu, not nice mobile dropdown one…
ok – fixed it – had to go to Appearances->Customize.
Any idea why the box on the menu editor page would not stay checked?
Another problem – the “login” menu option (only visible if you are NOT logged in) is not clickable. Why not?
I know that “Perfect Grid” works, but it cuts off 1/2 their faces!
Can you give me CSS so that Perfect Grid will look the way “Flexible Masonry” looks (with the titles below the pictures, not atop them) ??
Thank you for that suggestion. I installed the plugin and re-ordered the posts, yet the problem persists.
DAVID KORNFILT comes after ZACHERY MATESICH
on this page http://denmark.academicwebpages.com/kornfilt/ (and many others)

May 14, 2015 at 8:11 pm in reply to: Masonry orders posts differently on two different pages… #444571on the page with 3 columns ( http://denmark.academicwebpages.com/people/current-members/ ), David Kornfilt appears after Jeremy Henle, which is correct.
but on the page with 5 columns ( http://denmark.academicwebpages.com/andrea-ambrosi/ ) David Kornfilt appears after Zachery Matesich, which is not correct.
Thanks, Nancy

Thank you!
Still a bit more help is needed. There is too much space below the interior banner, and the homepage banner is not filling the width.
Nancy
much better. Thank you for your quick reply.
But … logo image is left-aligned and there is too much space between the logo and the menu. Can you suggest CSS to fix that?
Also, what function do I overload to put in the
if ( is_front_page() ) {
logic so I can show a different logo on the home page?
Thank you – perfect.

February 25, 2015 at 6:05 pm in reply to: replacing default featured image (pencil) with my own image #402250thank you. Does this mean I must use an icon? Can I use an image?
how do I change the heading “Posts” on this page? Either remove it or change it to another word, like “Publications”
http://hammes-schiffer-group.org/tag/ribozyme/
And how can we indicate which tag was used to generate the listing?

thanks. this is very helpful. I would like to make further changes – such as with the spacing, etc. How might I do that? Is there another way, or is adjust the CSS the best approach?
