Hi Josue,
I haven’t work a lot with WP Super cache yet. So, you turned it off and than on again (because it is active now)? Does that mean that WP Super cache can influence changes in code/installation?
So finally the code you gave me October 25, 2015 at 11:14 pm is correct?
Thanks for your help!

Yes, what you experienced is what I mentioned in my first post of this topic… It is really very strange…
I found an acceptable way around it. I took the button out of the grid section. Than created a color section underneath, put the button in that color section, played round a bit with paddings and bg color, and now it looks like what I wanted…
…and it works!!
Thanks for all the effort.

Seems to work fine now!
Can you tell me what you have done? I can see some extra php files in wp-content. Are these the solution?
If that is the case, I assume I do not have to change all single portfolio items?
Thanks a lot,

Ok, I understand.

Obviously there should have been an Offset option available, which I don’t have. Can you explain that?
Unfortunately your code suggestion doesn’t work… At this example you can see the current portfolio item also in more projects (NOG EEN PAAR PROJECTEN).
Please advise.

See private content!
Btw: I have taken out the code suggested by Rikard.
Thanks & regards,
MoniqueHey Andy,
Yes I know. You can choose for sticky header (not on smartphones) and shrinking header (not on smartphones + tablets). Maybe I was expecting to have the same behaviour for the sticky header too…

Your last suggestion doesn’t work and doesn’t look very good either (see website).

Thanks for your reply.
It would be great if something like that would be available, however I can’t find it…? I use a Dutch version and when I translate correctly, following is what I can configure when using a grid:
- Which items
- Sortable
- Post number
- Columns
- Page numbering
- Sorting on
- Ascending/descending
- Format settings
- Space between elements
- Overlay
- Title and excerpt
- Show title aned excertpt
- For developers: section ID
That is all I can see.
I have checked with the portfolio grid, but also there I cannot find the Offset option.
Btw: I have used the (normal) grid because of the possibility to show title and excerpt only when hovering. This option is not available in Portfolio grid.
Reagrds,
MoniqueHey Elliott,
I had already done that. However, on tablet the header is still large and sticky. It stays on top and doesn’t shrink… :-(

I have now taken out the content section under ‘EEN GREEP UIT ONS WERK’.
You will notice that the button ‘Bekijk meer projecten’ no longer works. But only on tablets; on smartphone and pc it works well!
Please let me know.
Regards,
MoniqueOk, that works fine. Thanks Elliott!

Have a nice day,
MoniqueHi Rikard,
I fixed this by using the advanced styling in the theme options and set the H2 to a fixed 20px.

Thanks & best regards,
MoniqueWhat a great experience Enfold is! Each new version offers new opportunities :-)
Let me finally show you a few of the websites I’ve created with Enfold:
More websites are under development right now, so more to follow!
Hi Andy,
My client wanted an easy multi language plugin for their small website.
I contacted the plugin developer and they were able to help me with additional code. They also advised me how you could change the theme code in case you would be interested to definitely fix this issue.
You can replace:
$excluded_taxonomies = apply_filters('avf_exclude_taxonomies', array('post_tag','post_format'), get_post_type($the_id), $the_id);
by:
$excluded_taxonomies = array_merge( get_taxonomies( array( 'public' => false ) ), array('post_tag','post_format') ); $excluded_taxonomies = apply_filters('avf_exclude_taxonomies', $excluded_taxonomies, get_post_type($the_id), $the_id);
Just for your information :-)

Have a nice day,
MoniqueHey Rikard,
Indeed, that didn’t work. The fb debug tool shows the correct information and images.
I am not using a caching plugin on this website (nor the others).
Regards,
MoniqueHi Andy,
In the (child) theme I’ve now switched on the Blog Post Categorie in Blog Layout.
You can see an example at: http://vdts.net/nieuwe-website/.
You can see an image highlighting the two category elements caused by Polylang at: http://vdts.net/screen_print.jpg.Hope that will be of help!?
Regards,
MoniqueThat’s great Josue, thanks a lot!

MoniqueHi Josue,
The link to the development website I am working on right now: http://vdts.arti-sign.nl/ (it’s in the footer).

MoniqueHi there,
Sorry to meddle in this discussion, but I also do not really ‘like’ the Facebook widget very much. And also I want to try to avoid as much as possible using external plugins if it is not really necessary…
You can set the width of the widget to 100%, which makes it somehow responsive. However, I always see a white sort of ‘box’ around the widget itself to ‘fill’ the field to 100%. Which should not be the case I guess. It really looks aweful…
So I am also interested in an aprovement of the Facebook widget!!!
Thanks & have a nice day,
MoniqueHi Rikard,
No problem.
Both pages were build exactly the same way: grid section (after an easy slider full width) > a 1/3 and a 2/3 column > special header in both columns set to H2 standard style with line. However on the page Trainingstraject both headers are shown in font size 20 px and on the page Help mee! both headers are shown in font size 28 px.
I don’t get that…!?
Regards,
MoniqueHi Dake,
Yes, me too :-)
The issue of the <h2> font size I hadn’t mentioned yet in another topic before. However, also for the same website I had some other issues, see:
- https://kriesi.at/support/topic/issue-with-layout-testimonials-on-tablet/
In the end this client accepted different lay-outs and that solved the issues for this website, but I guess when you offer these kind of lay-outs, that they should work fine!?
My question therefore was about if these kind of issues are being taken into consideration when the theme is going to be updated again?
Best regards,
MoniqueThat is funny. I tried to see what would happen if I created 3 content sections for each row (4 team mebers each) and that even looked worse.
Than I put all columns back in one content section and the problem suddenly dissapeared. It now looks good on tablet too.
Happy but surprised…
I still would like to receive an answer to my last question about theme lay-out issues.
Sometimes strange things seem to happen. I just noticed that a <h2> as special header in a grid on page Trainingstraject is 20 px large and on Help mee! (which has exactly the same lay-out) it is 28 px large. How can that happen?
Hi Yigit,
Yip, the client chooses the flexible masonry.
You can close this topic now. Thanks & regards,
MoniqueHi Ismael,
Ok, that looks better. It’s a pitty because the Perfect Automatic Masonry looked so ‘funky’ :-(
I’ll discuss with my client and let you know.
Regards,
MoniqueHi Ismael,
That didn’t work either… at least not on my tablet ;-)
In agreement with the client we solved this in a different way (compact testimonial slider), so you can close this topic.
Thanks & regards,
MoniqueHi Elliott,
Ok, that’s clear. My clients also works with Pinterest and they wrote that we should add some code to the <head> section of the website, that is:
<meta name="p:domain_verify" content="33d2f1d6d186ab5816773743d57c4936"/>
I’d like to avoid as much as possible changing the core files if it is not really necessary, as it is a lot of work to update these changed files each time you have to update the theme…
Cheers!

Hey Yigit,
Wow, that works wonderfully. Thanks a lot :-)
Best regards,
MoniqueHi Elliott,
That line 23 did the trick :-)
Thanks a lot,
MoniqueHi Elliot,
Thanks for your reply!
I guess you mean:
$fonts['Rock Salt'] = 'Rock Salt:400';
Why do you say the “child theme functions.php”? In case I am not using a child theme I suppose I can add this code to the theme’s functions.php!?
Thanks & regards,
