  • in reply to: Full Screen Slider not working on front page [screenshot] #1042234

    SOLVED: I had to restore a backup and stick with 4.2.2 Enfold and 4.9.8 WP and it’s working perfectly. I’ll look at upgrading after the busy Christmas season.

    Update: I just downgraded WP back to 4.9.8 and still running into issues with new Enfold update. I also tried to replace the Full Screen Slider with the Advanced Slider for the time being and found some other weird stuff happening, as well.

    Sounds great—thanks! I’ll look into that end.

    Hmm, it works when I use my Reload CSS (no shadow, proper colour) but even after clearing cache on W3 and my CDN; and loading it up on a few different computers/browsers—it still shows up the same grey and shadow. Any thoughts?

    Great! Thanks Jordan.

    It’s still a light grey, with shadow/highlight—anyway to remove it so it’s the same solid colour as above text?

    Is there any update on this situation?

    Although it might not be a huge deal for SEO in many cases, it is be when our competitors are all optimized with H1 tags, similar content, back-links, etc.

    It would be great if the Caption Title could be H1 and the Text could be H2. Given the context of how the full-screen slider is used at the top of a page, I don’t completely understand why it wouldn’t be a standard but I do recognize that it can require some time – especially with more important things on the back burner.

    Hey Rikard,

    Essentially the same way it shows up on the desktop version. On mobile, it shows the entire image versus the top section.

    Would things be easier all around if I just cropped the image further?

    Hey!

    You’re probably right Ismael, it’s much cleaner.
    I was only going to add in ue879 as a minimal arrow but I’m going to keep it as is.

    Thanks!

    Ismael! You’re awesome – I feel a bit embarrassed that I missed that. Was making that too complicated.

    Side question about the same topic, how would I turn off “Stretch to Fit” for mobile only?

    Thanks again!

    Have tried on Firefox, Chrome and IE on 3 different desktops.

    in reply to: Image Issue With Displays Over 1500px #475433

    Tried a few different things, along with uploading super high-resolution images and it doesn’t seem to be working.
    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hey hey!

    So I figured what I wanted for the main content was going to be a lot of work. Instead I just added this into my custom.css to remove the secondary bar on mobile so it’s not too cluttered and can still have it on my desktop:

    @media only screen and (max-width: 767px) {
    .responsive #top .av_header_transparency #header_main_alternate,
    .responsive .av_header_transparency #header_main .social_bookmarks li a,
    .responsive #top #wrap_all .av_header_transparency .phone-info.with_nav span,
    .responsive #top .av_header_transparency #header_meta,
    .responsive #top .av_header_transparency #header_meta li,
    .responsive #top #header_meta .social_bookmarks li a{ display: none;}
    }

    The only thing I’d really like to do is put icons directly in-line with the ‘more details’ text inside the icon boxes in av_section 4 – similar to the ‘read more’ buttons on this page.

    Let me know and thanks in advance. This has been quite the adventure.

    Thanks Basilis,

    Fair enough!

    In regards to the full-width slider though, I was just under the impression when I purchased the theme, the mobile site would reflect the transparency header more accurately (big reason I bought Enfold).

    Anyways, if it’s too complex, is it possibly easier to just move the header to the bottom (below fold) or just remove the header all together? Or is that a lot of work too?

    Total reasonable Rikard – I uploaded something onto one of the servers for you to take a look at it.

    I have a couple more requests now that I’ve seen it on my mobile phone too, so I’ll just ask the questions again but with corresponding sections (all front page).

    1) av_section_6: In the top iconbox on the left, I wanted to center the content text underneath the icon and title – but with the current left alignment on the bullet points.

    2) av_section_4: To the left of each “more details” links, I wanted to put a similar font sized icon pointing towards it – center and middle aligned with the text. I’ve tried a multitude of different things but no dice. (e.g. shown here.

    3) av_section 5: Wondering how I would change the padding (top and bottom of testimonials and button or color section itself) but on mobile sites only.

    4) Main loading screen: On mobile site, how can I have transparent header with logo, no social media bar above and have the whole image show up on load? At the moment, the bottom 1/5 of the full-width images cut off (due to the header?) and you can’t see one of the headlines without scrolling down. Having the possibility of a slim, fixed header after scrolling down would be nice too but not necessary!

    Great theme btw! I’ve had so much fun setting things up thus far and you guys have awesome community support.

    Thanks so much and look forward to hearing back from you.
