    hi Rikard!

    Thanks for the helpful link,

    So if I physically stay out of the Functions and other theme files, and rather use the WP admin panels..

    for example I have just installed the plugin Simple Image Sizes to manage the image sizes… (and in this plugin after adding some new sizes and zeroing out the Enfold sizes I can’t see that it has actually modified the functions.php, but probably overriding them)

    I am ok with regards to theme updates?
    Another example is if I adjust any of the Enfold theme options in WP admin. Are these set in stone and free from reversion in any theme update?
    Thanks again

    The 768 PX…
    “A new default intermediate size, medium_large, has been added to better take advantage of responsive image support.”

    Must be for tablets? Kept off Media Settings so people don’t mess with it I suppose.

    No mention in the article about the 450 PX non square size. Although after installing the Simple Image Sizes plugin just now the name comes up (in Media Settings) as shop_single_size.

    I have disabled the Enfold sizes in functions by putting the width & height values to 0 in Simple Image Sizes. I’m not sure at this stage if or why I will need those, but it brings in a lot of images on upload. The Slider sizes I might want, but then these types of images would always crop off a lot of the image, and probably need me to hand crop each image to get the piece I want.

    Thanks again Mike!

    in reply to: Sub-menu in Full Width Area code revision #891016

    Was able to solve the Menu Id, it was quite simple just shown in browser URL. So just the second part of question above. Nice bit of code from Ismael.

    Also can the sub menu be made to underline the selected link button, like the Main Menu does (or make the text bold or similar)? I’d prefer the bold text option but this might shake the menu sideways when links are selected..

    thank you

    in reply to: Menu inside the Content area #890519

    hi Victoria,

    What, How?
    Are you talking about the… (in Theme Options > General Layout)

    A) Logo + Main Menu Area, or
    B) Fullwidth Area

    So do I put my extra menu into the (B) Fullwidth Area (the one above the Content Area), or are you referring to the (A) Main Menu Area (the one that includes the Logo) which I already have accounted for and is in use, and not what I am asking about.

    1 line answers lacking any detail whatsoever aren’t going to help, obviously. Sorry to appear terse but I’m not going to spend months of time back and forward on a set of a few questions. (Been there before)..

    thanks,

    in reply to: default P tag text size #889939

    hi Mike,

    thanks for the tip with the Advanced Styling area. I notice it lets me check specific areas (‘Apply to Section’) whereas with my current method using the Additional CSS panel it would be across all these areas?

    Also, if I click ‘Reset all options’ does this return to default for every setting changes that I had made to date, or only for the selected element i.e. the <p> element.

    thanks

    in reply to: take off links from main menu #889934

    hi Victoria,
    was able to do it by setting all the pages to Private in WordPress. There’s no controls in the Appearance>Menu that relate to the Enfold Main menu area, only 2 other test menus that I set up earlier.
    thanks,

    in reply to: margins #889930

    thanks mike, yes I changed to use the Enfold ‘page.php’, by copying it and using as a basis for my custom page template, only removing the loop section of code within.

    The margins are all in line now.

    in reply to: Fullwidth area on page #889928

    hi Rikard,

    This is ok now. I was not using the correct theme template. I changed to ‘page.php’ in
    /public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold

    I copied this file as a basis for my own custom page templates (all I did was remove the loop code part below, this is correct yes?)

    <?php
    /* Run the loop to output the posts.
    * If you want to overload this in a child theme then include a file
    * called loop-page.php and that will be used instead.
    */
    $avia_config[‘size’] = avia_layout_class( ‘main’ , false) == ‘fullsize’ ? ‘entry_without_sidebar’ : ‘entry_with_sidebar’;
    get_template_part( ‘includes/loop’, ‘page’ );
    ?>

    whereas before I was simply using the page file from my old Theme.

    thanks!

    in reply to: margins #889473

    hi Yigit,

    I realise now that its because the page I am looking at is a wordpress page that uses a php template file I created.
    This is not following the same margin rule as other areas of the site – for example the Store which is run on a separate plugin.
    Is it best to control the margin from within my template or can I make the pages that use the template adhere to Enfolds rules/settings? which is best?

    thanks!
