Hi Rikard,
Sorry, I should have put that in my last response — please feel free to close this now as the issue has been resolved.
Many thanks,
Nikki
January 5, 2018 at 3:39 pm in reply to: Sidebars not showing in Widget editor in Admin view? #893723Hi Rikard,
Success! I’ve just gone through manually deactivating each plugin in turn & then refreshing the Widget page to see if it solved the issue – seems the culprit was the Google Analyticator plugin that I was using (and having thought about it, I’m sure I’ve put my Google Analytics code into the Enfold theme settings somewhere from memory, so I don’t actually need that plugin).
I’ve now reactivated all the other plugins & the widget area is now showing again, so that seems to have solved the issue!
Thanks for your help,
Nikki

Sorry, not sure what happened there! Please use the username I put before as I’ve just edited that account & have made it an Administrator as per your request.
New password is below :)
Thanks,

Hi Yigit,
Success! Thank you so much!
For my own future reference (& sorry if this is a really stupid question), how would I purge the cache?
Thank you for all of your help, I really appreciate it!
Thanks,
Nikki
Hi Yigit,
Sorry, the email that came through to me to say you’d replied had gone into my Junk folder – so I’ve only just seen it.
I’ve realised that it seems to only be if I put www. in front of my URL – it comes up with the original error above. If I just do mydomain.com (i.e. without the www.) then it seems to be ok, though it isn’t showing all my updates yet.
The backend of my website is a bit of a mess anyway – I am tempted to delete the whole thing and start again, though I’d prefer to be able to salvage what I’ve got!
I’ve set up an Admin user for you – I’ll paste the details into the Private Content box.
Thanks for your help,
Nikki
Hi Yigit,
Thank you for that. Is there anywhere in particular that I should add that code, as there’s a lot of existing content in the Theme Functions (functions.php) file. Adding it in at the very beginning doesn’t resolve the issue & it seems to delete that line of code back out of itself again.
I added the code at the top, hit Save, which then loaded my website up (rather than remaining on the Dashboard / admin side as I’d expect). Then when I go back into that file, the line of code is nowhere to be seen.
Any help would be gratefully received!
Many thanks,
Nikki
May 8, 2017 at 1:44 pm in reply to: Please read – Regarding Wordfence LayerSlider warning on Enfold 4.0.3 #789569Hi Rikard,
Thanks for the suggestion below. I’m sharing this in case it helps anyone else!
I downloaded a fresh copy of the Enfold theme as per Rikard’s suggestion, and FTP’d it over to my site (using Filezilla).
That didn’t solve the issue.
So I contacted Hostgator live chat (my hosts), explained the issue to them, including the PHP query in Rikard’s response to me (copied below for reference).I was on PHP 5.2 apparently, and they upgraded it to 56 (not sure if he means 5.6, or 56 – he’s type 56 twice to me as I assume 56!). And that seems to have solved the problem!
Hope this helps someone else!
Thanks,
Nikki
Hi Nikki,
Could you please try to overwrite the theme files with a fresh copy from your Themeforest account via FTP to see if that helps? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
If not, then could you check what PHP version you are running on the server? It might need updating.
Best regards,
RikardMay 5, 2017 at 7:39 pm in reply to: Please read – Regarding Wordfence LayerSlider warning on Enfold 4.0.3 #788637I’ve just been into my site to upgrade my Enfold – I should have checked here first as now I’m locked out of my WP Admin area as all that comes up is:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION in /home1/minxy/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/layerslider.php on line 109
What do I need to do in order to be able to get back into my WP-Admin area?
Many thanks,
Nikki
January 28, 2016 at 10:33 pm in reply to: How can I add a border / change background of sidebar widgets? #574146Hi Rikard,
So now the code looks like this:
.sidebar .widget {
background-color:#ddd !important;
}
.inner_sidebar {
margin-left: 0px !important;
}.sidebar .widget {
padding-left: 30px !important;
}However, it hasn’t actually changed anything – the grey background still doesn’t go the whole way across the sidebar section – it still looks the same as the previous screen shot.
Is there a way to just put the background on the titles of the widgets, as at least that would help to differentiate the sections (ie the separate widgets)?
Many thanks,
Nikki
January 24, 2016 at 9:10 pm in reply to: How can I add a border / change background of sidebar widgets? #570894Thanks Rikard,
That does work, but the margin of the newly grey area doesn’t go to the edge of the widget section. So it looks out of place, and still doesn’t separate the widgets properly (I’ve attached a screenshot): http://nikkistephens.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Widget-example.png
What would the code be to put a background just on the widget titles (so in my example attached, a background just for where it says Recent Comments and then Purple Minxy Witch)? Or even a border just around the title or just underneath the widget title?
Many thanks,
Nikki
