Hello,
I’m having the what seems to be common issue of adding social icons to a widget in the footer. I followed the instructions on this page: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/social-media-icons-in-footer-8/
However, although I have both Facebook and Instagram within the child theme’s settings, it is only showing the icon for Facebook.Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve added the URL to the site in the Private Content box below.
Also, is there a way to right align these icons? Thanks in advance!
Hi Rikard,
Thank you for looking into it. I found a TON of custom work in the shortcodes > av-helper-slideshow.php that I removed. I think that may have been what was causing the issue. Now hopefully it doesn’t have any negative consequences. Hahaha!
Thanks again for your support. You always come in clutch to help us users out! :)Mike
Rikard, by all means, please feel free to test it. This site was built by an outside company and we have since taken it over. They no longer have access or control of the site and it’s just acting really odd. I’ve used Enfold for a few other sites and have never had this issue. I’m not sure if it’s something they have done or not.
Sorry for the delay. I attempted to rebuild the slider with just two slides but it freezes as soon as it jumps (no smooth transition) to the second slide. I’ve put a live URL in the private content area below.
Hi Victoria,
I followed your instructions and updated both of the PHP files, cleared my browser’s cache and it still does the same thing. It stops as the second slide comes into view and doens’t load the description. Then the whole slider locks up. Can you please confirm that it’s doing the same thing on your end?Hi Ismael,
I deleted the entire slider and rebuilt it with only changing the setting you suggested and that worked perfectly. Thank you!
Do you mean both of those PHP files? If so, no, I haven’t. Would replacing those with new files from the theme help fix the issue?
BUMP
Hello. It’s been four days without a repsone and I was wondering if anyone had gotten a chance to look at this. I’ve provided admin login information in my initial request.Hello,
I just wanted to check and see if this had been looked into any further.
Thank you.Hi Rikard,
The IP address line I sent in my previous post needs to be added to your computer’s hosts file. That will redirect the URL in that line to the IP: https://www.howtogeek.com/howto/27350/beginner-geek-how-to-edit-your-hosts-file/
Hi Rikard,
I’ve attached in the private content area all of the information needed to access the site, as well as making you an admin account for the site.
Hi Rikard,
Unfortunately, I can’t as the site isn’t live and the one way to get there is by altering your hosts file. However, I can post a screenshot or two if that would be helpful. I’ll add a link in the Private Content area.Hi Victoria,
That’s really odd. Here is a screenshot of the menu I linked to previously: https://d.pr/i/WOgDaw
Similar to the way this site does it: https://www.clarkconstruction.com/
If you click on “our work” in the menu, you get a drop down with different colored columns.
Hi Rikard,
No, I can’t link it, as the site is live but we haven’t incorporated a mega menu, as we don’t know if what we want will work yet. We want a mega menu that the background of each column is a different color. Is that possible.
Just chiming in to say that I have the same issue. I can check manually and it says that version 4.6.2 is the most recent version. This needs to be resolved ASAP!
I’m having the same issue. Any chance that the CSS that was added can be provided? I’m only getting the first social media icon in my custom HTML column in the footer.
Edit: I resolved it using this CSS (posting for future people)
.widget .social_bookmarks li { clear: none; border: none !important; }
