I think we can close this up. It seems to be working now.
That worked!
THANKS! ! !Seems like they say to update the PHP…
How could i do that? What is the layer slider?
Is that the beautiful thing on my homepage that slides in the offer to sign up for my email address?
Lots of people like that thing, they’ve sent me feedback.
I wouldn’t mind having the same thing as a static display, without sliding in, but it’d be a hassle to change it, plus it seems like I should just not have a notification for a plugin update when all of my plugins are already up-to-date…What is a transient?
I just deactivated, then activated 24 plugins one at a time.
Configured the settings or whatnot for the ones that called for it.The notification for 1 plugin update available never went away.
It’s been like this for months.
But Ok, thanks. I’ll wait til an update gets rid of the notice.Jordan,
I don’t see any plugin that shows an update is available.Ok. Thanks for the help!
Look good now.
Thanks!What is Quick CSS?
I don’t like to change CSS in the theme because when I update WordPress it says edits to CSS won’t transfer. I wouldn’t be able to remember what changes I made, so any improvements would be lost. The button seems to be ok now.
The at the bottom is set to run only below the form, not below the photo. The Avia Paylout Builder has 2 columns:
1/3
2/3The text at the bottom is set to go in the second column at 2/3-page width. But it’s displaying across both columns.
Shoot,
now the text is properly displaying only below the form, but the form’s submit button is not displaying properly. Please help! :(
Oh, actually the button displays properly now that I published it. And the button color better matches the theme color, like before.
So I deleted the old one in the text block.
The page isn’t exactly displaying properly…
The text below the form (If you already have a successful craft brewery or are thinking of starting one,
we’ll help you grow a thriving business and turn your passion into profit.) is supposed to display only on the 2/3 page block, only below the one column with the form, not below the 2 columns.I hesitate to add the MailChimp form through the Code Block Content Element because the submit button doesn’t display properly in the preview.
Shoot, I can’t include a screenshot. So I’ll publish this for now. Please review the page and reply, so I can delete the extra form.
Thanks.
Are you talking about the plugin, Yoast SEO?
I disabled the plugin and I still have trouble editing this content.OMG I disabled this plugin:
SI Captcha Anti-SpamAnd I installed this plugin:
Google Captcha (reCAPTCHA) by BestWebSoftI think it worked. I haven’t had any comments since I did that.
Thank you so much!
My life is A LOT simpler again…Now I just need to figure out how to stop the sudden, great influx of phony email subscribers. MailChimp is not hellion very much with that… :/
I pasted the MailChimp code into the Text editor, not the Visual editor.
Is that what you mean?Yes, I think it’s “MailChimp script.”
It’s code I got from MailChimp, to embed their signup form on my website.November 6, 2015 at 10:29 am in reply to: A single widget won't display on the homepage, but it displays elsewhere #531385Elliott,
Oh darn looks like my previous posts did go up?
Anyway, I tried that. It seemed to work, But then I realized it worked only when I was logged out. When I’m logged into the WordPress backend, the widget does not display… :/
Ok, thank you.
I found the culprit. It’s the plugin: Google Analyticator by SumoMe version 6.4.9.6.
All the other plugins are enabled. This plain is deactivated because it is causing the problem. Now what do I do?
I updated your user status to Administrator.
While speaking with my web host support, they told me 3 plugins were updated since the time I had last noticed the midgets were working properly. I disabled each of those plugins, but noticed no change for the widgets editor. So I enabled the 3 plugins again.
December 24, 2014 at 4:08 am in reply to: What's the largest image dimensions that I could put in a text widget? #372370Oh, ok, it resizes. So it’s not totally inaccurate to tell my advertisers that it’s 250×250 px?
Other than that… I’m kinda of confused about the “but resized to 227×227 px.” Will it never display as 250×250? Is the maximum displayed size 227×227? Should I tell my advertisers to give it to me in 250×250 px, but let them know that it shows up as 227×227?
Thanks.
I don’t know whether you fixed it, or it fixed it self. Today I saw that test text on the website, so I went back in and added < html > tags–the image now shows up.
THANK YOU!
Yes, Devin, that works.
Thank you for that temporary solution.I look forward to hearing back about a permanent fix so the check box “Allow comments” works.
Thank you!
I don’t know, that Advanced Layout stuff is kind of intimidating.
Isn’t there a way to just make it work like it’s supposed to?
I don’t know what the layout builder is. I don’t think I’m doing that. I think I’m just using the regular edit page feature.
October 1, 2014 at 7:26 pm in reply to: Enfold theme not working after updating to WordPress 4.0 #328398Never mind, I was finally able to get a hold of my API key. I entered that into the backend.
After I posted this ticket, I went back to the site and saw an update was available for Enfold. I updated the theme and it seems to be working now.
I’ll start another ticket for a different problem.
Thanks.
