    Hi Ismael,
    As mentioned I did the following.
    Via Appearance I selected ‘theme functions (functions.php)” scroll down and copy, paste the coding.

    add_filter( ‘the_excerpt’, ‘shortcode_unautop’);
    add_filter( ‘the_excerpt’, ‘do_shortcode’);

    Just for me to clarify.
    Did I need to post this coding in full in the exceprt field, as did was not what was mentioned previously.

    And how do I need to combine this with the following coding (which is the shortcode for the Icon I would like to use)

    [av_font_icon icon='ue8c7' font='entypo-fontello' style='' caption='' link='' linktarget='' size='40px' position='left' color=''][/av_font_icon]

    Hi,
    Currently it seems that my whole website went down.
    I have contacted my webhosting and the following error message have been shared.

    [Tue Feb 2 21:41:19 2016] [error] PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /var/www/vhosts/55/234961…nt/themes/enfold/functions.php on line 522

    They mentioned to remove my theme for the FTP and install it again.
    Does this mean that I will loose all of my posts, pages, settings etc….

    When you have another suggestion please let me know as this is quite an issue.

    Thanks Basilis,
    Via Appearance I selected ‘theme functions (functions.php)” scroll down and copy, paste the coding.

    add_filter( ‘the_excerpt’, ‘shortcode_unautop’);
    add_filter( ‘the_excerpt’, ‘do_shortcode’);

    Next I went to my post to check if it works.
    http://world2cycle.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=125&action=edit

    In de default editor I generate the short code and used this in the advanced lay out builder in the excerpt.
    But I doesn’t seem to work.

    Did I missed a step?

    Dear Vinay,
    Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.
    Can you please let me know which tutorial I need to check.

    Furtermore, I have now created a page with a contact form by using the contact element.
    The thing I don’t understand is how I can get it fixed that when selecting the share option Email, that the contact form will be shown including a subject line and add the URL in the body text.

    Maybe you have ideas or can direct me to the correct tutorial.

    And besides, just to double check. I was using the contact element but I would like to know if I can create a possibility so that the visitor can update attachments.

    Thanks for taking the time :-)

    Thanks Vinay for the support given.
    Just to be sure.
    Can you explain how to create a contact page like.
    Do I need to build a page and use the element contact form.
    If so, how do I get it functional so that when the visitor uses the share button Mail that it automatically will create a subject line and add the the URL in the body text.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Can you please have a second look, as explained, currently I am using a plugin to have the icons displayed in the footer.

    in reply to: Content Element Social Share Buttons #566499

    Dear Elliott,
    1. I am testing the Email link but no connection is being made. (no screen is opening) I do see when clicking the share button the following link.
    “mailto:?subject=Paris-Roubaix&body=http://world2cycle.com/paris-roubaix/”

    To be sure how can I check my default for the Email?

    2. The content element have the possibilty to add a small title. In this case the small title used is ‘share this entry’. I was hoping that it’s possible to amend the size and or color.

    in reply to: Content Elements #562363

    Dear Rikard,
    Thanks for the reply given.
    I have set the Content / Sidebar Ratio to 80/20 but my impression the split is unchanged.
    Can you maybe check.

    in reply to: Content Elements #561267

    Thanks Rikard for the quick reply.
    Well I would use the regular, but I want to have the page split as 4/5 (main content) 1/5 (sidebar)
    Is this possble when using the Enfold settings?

    Or is their an other solution to have this solved?

    in reply to: Post slider not correctly lined out #560807

    Thanks Andy,
    The following I mean with to outline the post slider.
    The top of the featured images needs to be on the same line of all shown in the post slider, as well the bottem of the read more button needs be in line with each other.

    I have used your coding but now the READ MORE button again s not fully displayed. Previously I used the following code shared by the support.
    .avia-content-slider .slide-entry-excerpt {
    overflow: visible !important;
    }

    Also what I don’t understand is why this same read more button is not generate on the page http://world2cycle.com/cyclingevents/belgium/

    If I need to create a new post for the exerpt please let me know. I was able to add the excerpt by using the screen option. But I am curious as the read more tag should work as well for the excerpt. I am building the post via advanced layout builder. The content element used is TEXT Block. When I start editing the TEXT block you have the option insert read more tage. See below. Can you let me know why this is not automatically being added into the excerpt field for the post slider and the archive page (URL mentioned this query).

    <!–?php $excerpt = Nam pretium turpis et arcu. Duis arcu tortor, suscipit eget, imperdiet nec, imperdiet iaculis, ipsum. Sed aliquam ultrices mauris. Integer ante arcu, accumsan a, consectetuer eget, posuere ut, mauris() ?–>

    in reply to: Post slider not correctly lined out #560178

    Thanks Andy, got it.
    But the following is still not solved.
    – How can I get the posts outlined when using the post slider? I believe this should be automatically being done when looking at the example on http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/blog-grid/

    – Also, how can I get short the description, when using the excerpt, maximized to a certain characters

    – Another issue. Also the category page as well as the post slider is showing the comments and post date;
    http://world2cycle.com/cyclingevents/belgium/

    Within the settings overview for Enfold I have done the following;
    – Select blog layout and underneath the headliner Blog Meta Elements I have selected to only display selected Blog Post Allowed HTML Tags, Blog Post Category and Blog Post Tags.

    Still the comments and post date are being displayed.

    For your information I am trying to build the website via the advanced layout editor.

    Thanks Ismael fir the support.
    I am a beginner within WordPress. Create a new .php file is totally new. Do you maybe have a link which steps I need to take about how I can create a new php file, because I believe your solution can be helpfull.

    Because for now the text added in the excerpt is visible, but I am missing the read more button as well I would like to maximize the number of charachter being shown.

    Any ideas please let me know.

    And can it be the case to the next update will include the content element Post Meta?

    Hi,
    Just curious if you were able to use the temporary login.
    Thanks for the support so far and looking forward to work further with the Enfold theme as for now this is an important issue for me to have solved.

    Hopefully you are able to provide a solution and please let me know when further explanation is needed.

    Hereby the details which can be used.

    in reply to: Post slider not correctly lined out #556230

    The font style issue is now solved,
    Thanks!

    Can you please have a look why the post slider is not lined out.

    And I also don’t understand why I am missing a short description.
    I look at the source, and the code I found is <span class=”av-vertical-delimiter”></span>
    I don’t know exactly what this code means, but I was hoping that short description could be displayed within the post slider.

    For example please see the below;
    http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/blog-grid/

    Dear all,
    Can please reconsider your previous answer.
    The orignal question is about information missing in the short description which seems to be related with the coding.

    I am quite new in using wordpress. The aim is to create a page as mentioned below

    http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/blog/blog-grid/

    But currently this is not working;
    See my link;
    http://world2cycle.com/cyclingevents/belgium/

    Now it’s being explained that the following can help, but can you explain how I need to add this code the solve the currently problem in coding.

    There is no default element for the post meta info (date, category etc) but you can create a file called post_meta_infos.php on config-templatebuilder > avia-shortcodes folder. Add this code:http://pastebin.com/qsXmPDQJ

    You’ll have a new element called Post Meta under Content Elements panel. You might find a few bugs here and there but it should work as a basic element.

    in reply to: Post slider not correctly lined out #556202

    Thanks for the coding shared.
    I still have my concerns about the coding.
    The postslider is still not correctly lined out.
    The read more button is displayed corretly by using the code, but now the font style for the theme has been changed. (see for exmaple logo area)

    Do you have any idea why this has happened, because the font style chagend when I used the coding shared.

    Thanks for the help.
